Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS
daldana replied to Kramerika's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Since the Shield and my Polk soundbar each have one HDMI connection each, connecting the Shield to the soundbar is not an option as there wouldn't be any connection to the Samsung TV. It seems like the app needs to be repaired as there, again seems to be, multiple users with the same problem. -

Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
yocker replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
New beta version (v2.6.9.4) in the catalog. Added TheIntroDB lookups. This, when enabled, looks for credit markers on TheIntroDB.org before running any detections. If found it uses those and skips the detection run on that/those files. Please note, the amount of credit markers on TheIntroDB is rather limited atm. but should get better as time goes on. I'm considering adding an upload function but not sure detections are precise enough for the site, so any uploads should at least be manually inspected before any uploads happen.. Don't know if it's worth adding. -
Hi, what makes you think they fuse together?

Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS
FrostByte replied to Kramerika's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
My setup is SHIELD -> HDMI IN -> Samsung soundbar -> HDMI OUT/E-ARC -> Samsung TV That way I get all the audio codec support of the soundbar which is way more than the TV supports. However, yes you would think it would report at least DD 5.1 support with it the way you have it. -
Issue with playing music with app when connected through Tailscale
MarkSM replied to Gjonesesq's topic in Apple iOS / macOS
Update!! So I installed a portable version of Jellyfin right alongside of my portable version of Emby, same settings, same databases, etc. I then downloaded the IOS version of Jellyfin for streaming. Again, same or comparable settings. And ... Guess what? Jellyfin works!! And, unfortunately, Emby STILL does NOT, as far as audio file (AKA music file) sound ... NO sound ... So, I would really appreciate if someone could submit the necessary paperwork to have the IOS app fixed. Thank you!! Mark -
Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS
ebr replied to Kramerika's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
It seems that setup should at least support DD so I'm think it could be an HDMI handshake issue as to why it is not reporting support for it. You might consider hooking the Shield up to the soundbar directly if that is an option. Changes in the app are why you are getting no audio but, you are not getting the best audio due to something in the setup or configuration of how things are hooked up. - Today

Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS
daldana replied to Kramerika's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Shield is connected to LAN via ethernet, connected to Samsung Smarthub via HDMI, soundbar connected to Smarthub via HDMI also. Again, this setup worked fine yesterday with no changes made to it. -
Ok I went through a lot of iterations for Movies, but, Emby isn't creating Intro markers for movies. So my best solution is, grab the ChapterAPI plugin from the plugin Store. Create IntroStart/IntroEnd markers in ChapterAPI of your favortite scenes Run my plugin to get the backdrops/theme.mp4 Remove the Intromarkers via ChapterAPI afterward.

Quick question, if I'm only using dynamic node to access the library (thus no syncing), does the watch status sync to the server? I've noticed that it doesn't work on my other TV. Both units are on the latest v12. It does seem to remember on each unit separately.

Here is my logs, tried to sanitize them. What I did: Open Emby - Goes to Tv shows menu - select show and season - Start to play the show (Friends) - let it play for a while without any subs then activate "playback correction" and the sub is there. embyserver-63919756800.txt ffmpeg-transcode-11f960db-583d-46f2-bd59-2bdf5fef7a41_1.txt embyserver.txt emby_android_1784225023464.txt

Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS

That sounds like your server. I'm talking about the app end. What is the Shield connected to and how? -
First: this plugin is fantastic and has made (re)discovering my content so easy and fun. I'm looking to create a channel that plays the "Behind the Scenes" featurettes from DVD bonus features. I've tried tagging individual videos, adding them to a playlist, and adding them to a collection, but the channel's program guide comes up blank when set to Rules (with a tag rule) and no collections/playlists show up when content source is set to either of those. I've gotten titles to show up in the program guides when the main parent title is tagged or added to a collection/playlist, so it appears any extra feature videos cannot be added independently of the parent title - can you confirm and/or suggest another way to achieve what I'm going for?

Fixed - choppy/ stuttering playback on some HEVC RARBG files

I would at least try to remux one and see if that helps as it did others. You may have another issue going on. -
How to edit the EMBY Home Screen on my TV?
visproduction replied to TJBTOPJOCK's topic in General/Windows
TJB, Te name ofthe file needs to match exactly the name of the media including the date in parenthesis (2026), from the online image source data. I just match my filenames to imdb.com and that seems to work fine even though I think the posters come from another library. Hope that helps. -

Win11 PC, Intel I5-12500, Intel UHD 770, 16 GB RAM. This system was working fine yesterday. -
Fixed - choppy/ stuttering playback on some HEVC RARBG files
Machete89 replied to Machete89's topic in Android
Remember that Remuxing and re-encoding are completely different. Remuxing repackages the video into a new container with zero quality loss. Re-encoding will lose quality and takes much longer. I think remuxing is the way to go if you have a large library and you run a script like mine to do everything automatically. -
Meh, I just get bored of things easy and I tried every single indexer and almost all of the servers for downloading I'm just bored of it. I like using makemkv and copy from dvd is more fun imo and you get good quality.

Sure! One example, I'm starting to watch an episode of Warehouse 13. Pretty soon after playback starts, video skips back a few sec, or freezes, while audio continue smoothly. Then video will jump to the correct current time and catch up to the audio, but in effect I missed seeing a few seconds of video because of this. Then playback is quite okay, but it might happen 1-4 times more during the same episode, and definitely if I use pause/play again. Logs are attached from a test play where I was seeing this behavior. I tried using Edge browser, and in Edge it seems to work with no issues. A whole episode watched, and no hickups. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-remux-915bf6c2-3353-4c08-b85a-3e47d3c47ec9_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-d28cc4f1-ac66-48c2-9f5d-606126d3d75c_1.txt

Emby for Android on Shield TV no longer passing through dolby digital 5.1 or DTS
ebr replied to Kramerika's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Your system is reporting no support for any multi-channel codec. Not even straight DD. What is the equipment involved? -
Yeah I have already gone through all of those, some good stuff but nothing that really stands out. Infuse looks good but I don't have an apple tv to play around with it.

Unfortunately that seems to be the only solution, I guess Tdarr would do this for you but I can't figure it out so just started replacing them with AV1 encodes -
Fix worked, thank you Luke.
