How to handle multiple actors with the same name?
Luke replied to GhostRider's topic in General/Windows
You may still want to check your directories. Many people actually have these files created by other software and aren't aware of it. -
Please open a topic with log file examples and we can look at that in detail and get to the bottom of it. Thanks.

Your guide data source - fetchtv.com - (never heard of them)...it is sending back 404 not found responses. So I would ask them about it. If you've never heard of them either, then your xml guide probably has image urls pointing to that domain. Maybe those urls have now gone bad, or maybe they were never working to begin with. Whichever it is, it's an issue with your guide data source.

Theres absolutely no way thats true. 4.11.0.4 beta searches flawlessly with zero issues. Downgrade back to stable 4.10.1, no go. This is on 2 completely separate servers this was tested on.
-
4.10.1 has everything related to search that 4.11.0.4 has.
-
I didn't recommend it. I just said that it would be a good time if he is looking to switch branches.

Here are 2 more screenshot examples of this issue from my system as well as the server and front end logs. Thanks for trying to fix this. embyserver.txt EmbyClient.txt

How to handle multiple actors with the same name?
SortSpion replied to GhostRider's topic in General/Windows
I don't use my own custom .nfo files and have TMDB as my primary metadata downloader. So I guess it is down to the metadata editor that has no actor ID fields. -
I dont understand how you release the 4.11.0.4 beta, which addresses some of the issues at hand, most notably to me the search issue that is a big problem. Then AFTER you release that beta, you release stable 4.10.1.0 which does not have the fixes? The stable was released after the beta. Shouldnt it follow to include what was in the prior beta?

Well, that was the idea, maybe it still is, but I'm pretty sure ebr said somewhere that the ATV app is going to be kept as long as they can manage it, which is a bit vague, but a lot better then trying to shunt it off into app heaven asap, and as mentioned its got a fair few updates recently.
-
...then why would you recommend it? It would be a downgrade.

id like to add to this: instead of needing to add "halloween" under tags for each movie, can we just have the option to use the pumpkin scrubber for all of october, no matter what we're watching? the ability for custom icons and date ranges would be fun. thanks!

Hi, this is just for the folder view. Did you try clicking into the folder and seeing the next level?
-
We don't submit every single build to the store. We will be submitting a new one soon. Thanks.

Why does it take so long to update the store? My Bravia doesn't like the 3.5.55. Always crashing.
-
I'm sure people were sayng to stop using Emby for Android TV as it was a legacy application and to just use the Emby application ?
-
ATV app isn't dead, its just had a going over with some beautification and some new features. See -
-
Two things, the Emby for Android TV app is dead and no longer recommended I believe. Also thats just for one video, think more like youre binge watching a TV show like Witcher and having to do this every time a new episode starts.

Docker migration to Premier - Backup plugin not working.
markblomquist replied to markblomquist's topic in Linux
Here is my latest log file. The Emby Server ConfigData folder, which includes the Library.db file located in /Embyserver/ConfigData/data, IS on a CIFS share on the NAS. The Mint/Cinnamon host mounts the configdata and media folders using a User/Password that has full-control of the files on the NAS. It seems that library.db file cannot be locked and something isn't working with the file-lock behavior for Emby Server using the configdata from a NAS/CIFs source. my brain hurts. I try not to dive into the Synology ShareFolder and DriveStation advanced permissions, but I might end up there. I didn't try running the FSTAB+NAS shares over NFS instead of CIFS. That is a possibility. CIFS has worked fine for a long time on the non-Premier version. embyserver-2026-10-1.txt -
thanks, hadnt thought of folder view for this. since my files are already in clean folders that might get me most of the way there, ill give the mixed content library a try for the marvel and dc stuff
