I have exactly the same issue with the same hardware. -
AndroidTv update now black screen with av1/opus videos
ebr replied to esaym153's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Can I ask why opus? Your TV does not natively support it. -
Hi. Not all apps/features are free. Do you have Premiere on your server? Emby Premiere Feature Matrix However, we should not be asking your user to purchase Premiere so please make sure they don't do that.

Air Date Fixer — Corrects upcoming dates for your timezone outside the US
sh0rty replied to Blueskies278's topic in Plugins
Now that Trakt only allows one device without VIP, have you thought about using Simkl? It seems they also provide region based Release Data on the Web page. The API provides broadcast data not as region based but ISO with Offset, but couldn't that be converted by the plugin based on the timezone setting set in it? Souce -> https://api.simkl.org/conventions/dates { "title": "Faceless Men", "description": "While Rhaenyra and Daemon focus on how best to deal with Ormund, tensions among their neglected allies begin to erupt.", "season": 3, "episode": 6, "type": "episode", "aired": true, "img": "20\/203532593c102da18e", "date": "2026-07-26T21:00:00-04:00", "ids": { "simkl_id": 14767323 } } - Today

The best function for me in the Android for TV app over the Android app is the quick select to the right when in TV or Movies etc to quickly toggle on/off watched or favourites without going inside the filter function.

brothom started following "Unlock functionality" prompt on iOS
-
I tried granting one of my users access to my Emby server and while the browser via app.emby.media works fine, the iOS app doesn't. When the user tries to play any sort of media, they're immediately prompted to: * purchase premium for €7,99 * "unlock" for € 5,99 (whatever that means) * or to restore purchase. None of my other users receive this message. This user is on an iPhone 17 pro and I have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with Apple stuff, hence why I'm posting here. Anyone have any clue?

AndroidTv update now black screen with av1/opus videos
Luke replied to esaym153's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks. -
Well @MrNo0000says it works, so let's go with that factual response. Given the radio silence from Emby devs, perhaps they will provide via DM.

Ignore m3u and add dropdown for playlists
StuBailey replied to dannymichel's topic in Feature Requests
And I'm pretty sure I know what happened because one playlist I made was created using a different sign-in name and it was still set to private. When I made a new one it worked but I still didn't see the first one and that gave me the answer after a bit of thinking. -
The OP was likely or is likely having a manic episode. All the signs are there. I hope he/she is feeling better.

Ignore m3u and add dropdown for playlists
StuBailey replied to dannymichel's topic in Feature Requests
it's working perfect and the procedure is so simple I can't imagine what happened. -
@speechles No I don't think he is karma farming, but he indicated in the "Why Do People Pirate?" his state of mind he is mega bored and my wish for him was to get a handle on it. He is more like a Keyboard warrior, No-Lifer or Forum Addict, who in his advanced age likes to stay relevant, thus perfectly suited for Reddit. I visit this forum every day just in case something is posted about Emby and my experience since Media Browser can be helpful in solving a difficulty.

Ignore m3u and add dropdown for playlists
StuBailey replied to dannymichel's topic in Feature Requests
I had no clue how to report a problem other than taking a screenshot of before and after so I turned off the import for like the 6th time and now it's working. I also avoided doing a refresh just to see what happens and I notice when you turn the import off, it seems to do a scan on it's own so I doubt the times it didn't work had anything to do with a refresh or whatever. -
I am now getting the issue with mp3s at 320kbps in addition the the Flac files as before. Previously they were unaffected. Android auto still plays fine with both.

Restarted the router, and I now have remote access to NAS1; while port forwarding is to that NAS. This is as it should be but strange as it's not the behaviour I had before and the router has been rebooted before during this troubleshooting. I am testing by simply turning off WiFi in the expectation that Emby will automatically try the WAN address (if it didn't it would presumably do nothing or generate a connection failed message)? I have yet to try from somewhere well away from the house.

Parental Controls Not Respecting Tagged Collections
Jdiesel replied to Halliphax's topic in General/Windows
@LukeBump for this. Parental controls should respect Collection folders. As it currently stands the parental controls do not block tagged collection folders. There is a currently a gap between Playlists and Collections. While playlists can be user specific, there is no way to have a only a parent series item in a playlist without including all playable episodes in the series. Collections fix this but collections are pubic and visible to all users. We need a way to filter collections to specific users. How this should work: To completely hide a collection on a per-user level, you need to tag it and block it: 1.Tag the Collection: Navigate to your Collections tab in the Emby web interface. Hover over the collection you want to hide, click the three-dot menu, and select Edit Metadata. 2.Assign a Custom Tag: Scroll down to the Tags field. Type a unique identifier (e.g., Restricted, HideKids, or NoBox), click the + button to add it, and then click Save. 3.Access User Settings: Open the Emby Server Dashboard (the gear icon in the top right) and select Users from the Server Management menu. Click on the profile of the user you want to restrict. 4.Block by Tag:This setting is found under the Parental Control tab, not Access.. Navigate to the user's Parental Control tab. Scroll down to the Block items with tags section, type in the exact tag you created in Step 2, and click Save. Important Note: This method only hides the Collection folder itself. If the user still has library access to the individual movies or shows inside that collection, they will still be able to find and play those items by browsing their main libraries. If you need to block the media completely, you must apply the same tag to the individual media files, or remove their access to the library entirely. I'm currently developing an Emby companion app and ran into this road block. Searching the forums it seems that this was once possible? -
redaktorn started following Trakt plugin unable to Get PIN
-
In my opinion this solution is not possible. (patching the dll-file) It is possible to change/update the way "oath" is handshaking in the dll. (trakt.configuration.trakt.html inside the dll-file) But the Emby Trakt plugin still expects a pin code to be written in Emby by user. And that is not how Trakt is working now since the update. The new Trakt shall communicate with Emby to show/provide the code inside Emby interface. (not old style copied from Trakt homepage). To do that - it would take a full re-writing of the code in trakt.dll. And maybe even some fixes in Emby interface so it can receive the code automatically from Trakt. But it is just my opinion......

I don't have an update yet but we are going to be reworking the way the play queue is handled. Thanks.
