An observation - this topic was for synology and is in the synology forum category. We have fixed it for synology. The QNAP issue should have been raised as a separate topic in the QNAP forum category. Yeah, had a problem like it before but it shouldn't happen now. Specially not when they have uninstalled EmbyIcons and it still happens. I'm thinking there might be a conflict with CoverArt i need to fix, i just can't replicate anything like it my self.

Speaking from personal experience, the Emby image pipeline does a lot of things in parallel, so you have to be very careful how you handle class level caching, variables, parameter passing, etc. or you'll see weirdness like this as requests for separate images collide during their respective processing.

I can't, since I rolled it back. I would have to reinstall to pull logs etc... Hoping somebody else can report, otherwise I will report in the coming days...

Please send me another log file and i will look at it. Edit: Just noticed that the icons them self are correct, so that again tells me that it's Emby handing over the wrong posters to EmbyIcons.

Hey Luke Thanks for looking in to it. No, the permission problems are in the music sections and for the movies I did not find a System:IO Problem. I had some errors in a previous log, saying something like a Cover art plugin had no license key. So I deleted it and rescanned the movie section. The errors were gone, but the cover problem still exists.

I installed the beta (5.56.5.0) and tested it. Unfortunately, the behavior is unchanged. A metadata refresh does not update the incorrect artwork. Additionally, the movie I refreshed still ends up randomly propagating its artwork to other unrelated movies. When I open Edit Images, I still see the incorrect artwork, even though the local artwork files in the movie folder (poster.png, fanart.jpg, logo.png, etc.) are correct.

But we are waiting for a solution for qnap nas. @Luke wrote that maybe someone is solving it but we doubt it. Can someone from the devs confirm that anyone knows about it at all? Communication from the emby team is zero on this.

Hi, have you noticed the permissions problems in your log? Could that be related? System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/volume1/music/Werni'. Most likely something did get touched though..

Actually, I think CBers was correct. I turn debugging on and I see it, turn it off and I no longer see the Trans/Direct box when opening the OSD.

There were hurdles in the Google store that kept us from a new general release and we finally cleared them.

@eMoOakI made a quick and dirty little change to how EmbyIcons handles video IDs. Can i get you to test it out and see if anything changed? You will find it in the catalog, it's beta version 5.56.5.0. Install it and do a metadata refresh on an affected video. Make sure to enable replacing images.

Apologies. I was just going off the Play Store release history, not your internal docs. I'll take a look at the above, thanks for the link. Do you have a location where old non beta APK versions can be downloaded for rolling back if needed?

So EMBY team. What have you changed in the Android TV app in July? Not the Emby for Android but the Android TV app. No updates on this abandoned app since March 2025. I'm not complaining since it works well, don't break it! But now TWO updates to it in the Google Play Store in July to version 2.1.51g. No change log so what have you changed?
