I had no clue how to report a problem other than taking a screenshot of before and after so I turned off the import for like the 6th time and now it's working. I also avoided doing a refresh just to see what happens and I notice when you turn the import off, it seems to do a scan on it's own so I doubt the times it didn't work had anything to do with a refresh or whatever.

I am now getting the issue with mp3s at 320kbps in addition the the Flac files as before. Previously they were unaffected. Android auto still plays fine with both.

Restarted the router, and I now have remote access to NAS1; while port forwarding is to that NAS. This is as it should be but strange as it's not the behaviour I had before and the router has been rebooted before during this troubleshooting. I am testing by simply turning off WiFi in the expectation that Emby will automatically try the WAN address (if it didn't it would presumably do nothing or generate a connection failed message)? I have yet to try from somewhere well away from the house.

@LukeBump for this. Parental controls should respect Collection folders. As it currently stands the parental controls do not block tagged collections. There is a currently a gap between Playlists and Collections. While playlists can be user specific, there is no way to have a only a parent series item in a playlist without including all playable episode. Collections fix this but collections are pubic as visible to all users. We need a way to have user specific collections. How this should work: 1. A collection (folder) is tagged 2. The tag for that collection is blocked for a user using parental controls 3. The user with the blocked tag can not see the collection folder but still has access to items within it (granted they normally have access to those items/libraries) I'm currently developing an Emby companion app and ran into this road block. Searching the forums it seems that this was once possible?

In my opinion this solution is not possible. (patching the dll-file) It is possible to change/update the way "oath" is handshaking in the dll. (trakt.configuration.trakt.html inside the dll-file) But the Emby Trakt plugin still expects a pin code to be written in Emby by user. And that is not how Trakt is working now since the update. The new Trakt shall communicate with Emby to show/provide the code inside Emby interface. (not old style copied from Trakt homepage). To do that - it would take a full re-writing of the code in trakt.dll. And maybe even some fixes in Emby interface so it can receive the code automatically from Trakt. But it is just my opinion......

When I extract the subs, I get an undefined extension instead of .vtt. Why do the subs get the undefined extension? Are they not listed correctly in the media? This might cause Emby player to no recognize the subs correctly. I noticed that there is a uncommented Note at the beginning of the of one of the subtitles. Perhaps the undefined extension works in some situations on some countries. VLC seems to work OK. I can rename the extensions to .vtt as separate files and then the subs look normal.

By "standard app" I assume you mean the android app? I didn't know that was an option. I simply installed the "android tv" app since this is android tv. What is the difference? I have been re-encoding most of my stuff into av1+opus lately.

3.5.40 on Shield TV Pro (2019). Yes, the server is showing the right address. This is 4.9.5.0 on TrueNAS. Like I said. Nothing else has changed, nothing else was even touched. We were watching a movie on Saturday with 3.5.38 (or so) and all worked fine, as always, for many years. On Sunday, I upgraded to 3.5.40, and it started.

Hey Luke, upgraded the app and have had minimal issues. Main issue is when the server can't decide if I am connecting over wifi or over 5g service. That is an issue for another thread. I will not piggy back on that here. Thank you!
