When I press the queue button it says there are no pending but as soon as I set to process (and I've set it to not retry failed detections) it always finds more to do and processes a couple hundred episodes before showing 'complete' but numerically having more to go.

@softworkz Would it be possible if I create a site with the stream URL, Image, Name of the Stream which you can crawl. I'm thinking about creating a website where everyone or at least with a login adding radio url's. But I if I do that your plugin would need to get all the url's automatic, maybe I can create a xml or so and we can add that XML link into your plugins for adding the URL's automatic every week or so?

Would that not be reflected in the database i.e. be listed as either album artist, artist or composer? What i am suggesting is that aliases act like aliases, so the "Burzum (NEW)" album should display a link to "Burzum" but read "Burzum (NEW)", like so: <a href="/link/to/Burzum">Burzum (NEW)</a> instead of <a href="/link/to/Burzum (NEW)">Burzum (NEW)</a> To me it looks very "bootlegish" to have the same artist multiple times with a bit of the discography here and a bit there. On spotify, you click the artist and it is all there - same as on MuiscBrainz from where the data is fetched. I would love to see the same in emby.

Hi there, I use the Web Streams plugin to manage my radio streams. I created an .m3u list stored locally, which contains all stations and streaming URLs. This works perfectly well. Now I tried to integrate station logos in the list, to be displayed instead of the generic web stream icon. When I use an external URL to the corresponding image file, this works fine: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-logo="https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/D318_ANTENNE_600x600.png" group-title="Sonstige",ANTENNE BAYERN However, I have all these logo files stored on my NAS and want to reference them locally in the M3U: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-logo="./121B_ROCK_ANT_600x600.png" group-title="Sonstige",ANTENNE BAYERN But that fails. I tried relative as well as absolute paths, but the images are always broken. It's not a permission problem, it seems to be kinda path problem. When I try to view such an broken image in the Emby web UI, I get an error: Could not find a part of the path '/volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/file:/volume1/music/121B_ROCK_ANT_600x600.png'. I marked the correct absolute path in blue and the apparently problematic part in red. What could be the issue? Thanks! Achim

If I'm not mistaken is most of the work already good to go for something like this by using the emby api ? only real thing left would be exporting live channels with epg to m3u with user limit of course. I'm currently testing this with the older emby and it works flawless using the api with it

Right now it counts all episodes in the queue, even those that doesn't actually need any detection. So as the queue goes on it might find episodes that it didn't need to run detection on and there for not counted. I'm not sure precisely to do about it but i am working on it.

Also not to sound like a jerk BUT I would put this as a monthly fee of like $5.99 or something even for lifetime members calling it Emby Plus if you use the m3u it's a monthly payment for everyone. It's business and this would be well worth the money imo for sure I would pay it just to have all my media in one place yessir ! I would pay $15 a month for something like this who am I kidding !

I found the fix. I went to settings (the round gear icon) and chose picture settings and upped it from 80 to 480.

Is it just the speed you want ? if it's just the speed you want and want everything under one roof I have a solution that can solve everyone's needs without emby devs needing to even touch how the live tv is currently and it would make all users happy. Devs would need to have an export feature, export emby to an m3u allowing people to run emby on tivimate including the emby epg guide this way everyone wins ! The 25 device limit would then run on that m3u as well on users watching emby on tivimate. I would watch emby on tivimate it would be 100% better and the reason is there would be no emby blank movie covers because I have my meta data and everything how I like. Emby community would grow because you would be able to watch emby on 3rd party apps with ease. Imagine the freedom of watching emby on anything that supports an m3u. What if a family member also uses emby you could join a few emby servers together like plex does all under one roof. This would be a game changer in every way allowing us full control of our media on any device or app giving us complete freedom. You would need to have the m3u have the username and password of the emby user in the m3u but also have the emby server let us set the amount of connections that can be used on that users name so if they had a max of 2 connections if they used a 3rd it would not work.

For me it is I rather have the spotlight stuff than faster live tv But I am not a fan of live cable channels I like on demand no ad every 5 minutes but emby lets you add the epg for the channels you do want even if it loads it a bit slower emby looks better than tivimate unless you have a full epg with logos and for on demand have all your cover art with meta data which you can do yourself hours n hours manually doing it but is doable with Xtreme UI which is free but most people have no idea how to use or even install it. Emby is the best for this in the end everyone comes back to it I know I always do I think emby will need to redo the entire live tv section from scratch to get it to instant load and the tags would not exist if people wanted to be able to simply press up and down and change channels instant emby may have no choice. In the end users pay their bills so time will tell.

I continue to have this issue with the latest Emby for Android release. To clarify one point, if I fast forward live TV into the future, the picture appears to be stuck, but it appears that the app is waiting until live TV catches up to the future time. For example, if I fast forward 10 seconds into the future, the picture is frozen for 10 seconds and then live TV resumes and plays normally. I assume the intended behavior is to not allow fast forwarding into the future. Thanks.

That looks sick I want mine like that, reminds me of what I use to make with swishmax back before AI and add audio and mouse over to it.

I usually have no problem viewing movie files, but occasionally this happens. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I view this as doing it it layers. I want to start off with tight settings and then it would be nice to have a button for 'looser' settings so you could easily swap between pre-sets depending on how much it bothers you to have the marker wrong. I am seeing an issue with 2.9.0.5 in that it seems to stop with a 'complete' mark after only doing a couple hundred episodes even though it says there are over 10K left to do. I'll reboot the logs and try to minimize activity to get a clean capture tonight after everyone goes to bed.

I like the way it works now if I want to watch a channel I use the play button if I want to record the news I click the ok button and record etc.. Also I was thinking about the channel tags if you have a subscription for one user you can make up their channels on a tag with their login name on it then do the same for other people use a different subscription with their login name and tag set to their username. This way each user can have there own set of channels tailored to them as long as no one else adds all of the other peoples tags lol. Maybe down the road have it so you can password the tags keeping people out of ones not for them

Very keen for this to be added. I have a Watchlist at the top of my home screen, but removing items from it once I've watched them is currently a chore.

What I‘m really missing is an option to cast playback to a device of my choice with a neat library view. I realized that with an extra button for the library share, than have to pick the player and the media. It‘s more of a workaround, as the library opens in a small popup which is annoying and looks really bad.

@hiimcourtyEmby's live tv management and features are underwhelming and have been for a long time. Fortunately, solutions do exist and add a lot of capability. I've used Xteve, IPTVBoss, Threadfin, and currently use Dispatcharr to manage a consolidated m3u and epg across 2 HDHomerun tuners and iptv streams with multiple epg sources including SchedulesDirect. Dispatcharr is hands-down the best and most feature rich. I copy the audio and video directly, but configure the ffmpeg flags for higher reliability/resiliency and Emby manages the specific device stream logic. As it pertains to your use case Dispatcharr has a multiview plugin that is hardware accelerated. One consideration is that a multiview 2x2 requires 4+ streams. If your provider limits you to 1 or 2 streams Dispatcharr can work around this by managing multiple IPTV accounts if needed.

Thanks for taking a look, Eigeplackter! You're right, media_player entities already give you a lot of the playback information. For me, EMBi is also about making the extra sensors and player management easy to set up through the UI, without having to build the sensors in YAML. I'm really curious to see what the community comes up with and what you actually need in everyday use. I've got a few ideas of my own, but I'm very open to yours too. So please do share your wishes, ideas and anything you're missing — that's exactly the kind of feedback I'd love to get!

Te5, Ok, sorry. I have a habit of not reading everything. Just ignore my entry and carry on I also like having themes and have found a long list of around 2000 titles and composers of music to match content. Often, I like my selection better than the original music. I thought about just posting the list without the files, but I don't think anyone would be interested.

EmbyCredits does not upload time stamps to TheIntroDB or any other site. What it can do it look up TheIntroDB for end credit time stamps before using resources on detecting them. If you want to contribute time stamps you can detect the end credits with EmbyCredits and then use TheIntroDB plugin to upload them. Many thanks for the kinds words!

@kbeck@user24 I'm curious how you both use tags and collections. Would you mind sharing more details as what you both touch on seem very different from how I use them? Here's how I use them: Tags Media visibility I use Live TV and my m3u is managed in Dispatcharr. Events such as NCAA football games are added and removed from the m3u each week. When Emby syncs the m3u playlist it automatically creates tags corresponding to iptv groups. When all events are over and no channels exist the tag is removed which breaks dynamic media home sections. I created iptv group channels in Dispatcharr with no streams to use as placeholders to ensure tags are persisted in Emby. I manually edit the metadata for these group channels and add another tag "Hidden". Then for every user I set Parental controls to exclude the tag "Hidden". Collections Syncing external lists to Emby I create collections from external mdblists that users see on the Home Screen. Examples: Emmy Winners & Nominations Playing on Apple TV+ Playing on Disney+ Playing on HBO Trending Movies Top Kids Movies Seasonal collections that are visible during specific months such as: Christmas, Halloween
