LiveTV Guide mod looks good Plex users I'm sure they will be switching to Emby after this recent Emby server update I know I would even though to be fare I have not used Plex in I'm thinking 10 years. Went from Media Portal directly to Emby I think it was although I'm a nerd so I tinkered with all and every but all in all I'm just trying to cut out Tivimate for live tv but now the way Emby has advanced into something you do not want to exit out of to open another app for tv YEAH EMBY IS NOW PERFECT ! Why would this only work for web? Are the apps controlling this them self? Then maybe it should be able to edit the app somewhere?

Is it safe to go from Beta (.31) to Stable (.40 that is the new one)? Or do I risk to loose it all... Maybe at strange question, but could not search an answer, and I don't trust AI in this question.

Is it possible that maybe a (daily) scheduled task is stopping the previous scheduled task as it is taking more than one day to complete?

I’ve actually combined this as part of a bigger app that now includes Tubi and Roku live tv as well. It’s got 1300+ available channels.

A scheduled task can not stop a manually started one by design. If it does happen to you please send a log file to me as i can't replicate the problem my self.

Hi there! I keep getting this error: I have deleted the Embyplugin files (DLL:s plus web) restarted, repasted files, restarted but the same error. Troubleshooting would be much appreciated /N

Interesting, this issue only popped up when I upgraded to 4.10. See attached for the configuration I'm using for Next Up, as well as the additional filter options present in other home section types. Under 4.9 and previous, Next Up legacy automatically excluded watched episodes. What I'm hoping for is that you can add the filter options to the Continue Watching section type (which I have labeled next up), so that people have the option to mimic the old next up legacy section. Note that there is 24 hour caching in Emby Server for guidedata before a change would be picked in a guide refresh

Sorry, if I overlooked..... but how do I get custom text as overlay onto the covers? I found custom options, one at: Indicator Overlays, Overlay Style. And the second at: Media Info, Overlay Style or third at: Specials, Overlay Style. Background: As I added movies to my library (which I will collect in the future) and use a placeholder folder (and mediafile) for them, I would love to make them kind of: "Offline Media" in my collection. (Visible, but signed or marked as "Offline") Any hints how I could achieve this? Actually I'm on server version 4.10.0.30, OSX 14.8.9 (Safari). Thx for thoughts

Since the Update the Episode intros detect very slow. Mor than 3-4 Hours. Before the update it was most under 1 Hour embyserver.txt

Cool, you should definitely share your stats with the developers so they know right away what they need to focus on in the future. By the way, Emby is the only media player software that reliably recognizes TV shows and movies in a folder—without any tricks. But I’m going to tell all my friends who use Emby that they don’t need it anymore because user xy thinks so.

Hi, Since the latest update to version 4.10.0.40 , all tv shows/movies/music are not added anymore. The full library scan last 1-2 seconds... I rescanned the metadata folder, reboot the server, removed/added back files. Nothing is happening. I can watch/listen to stuff. Any ideas? Thanks for the help! embyserver.txt

This actually is very common usually from torrents even news groups for example see the one from DRbanner 9.8KiB if you were to make a mistake not paying attention that's how you get 0KB on a pc. Not hard to get yourself in a pickle this day and age but the bad thing is all your data is now gone maybe try Ubuntu very easy to use most people love Nas for this very reason. Take care!
