Hi I have been using using HLS-Proxy sucessfully to stablise the streams into emby for several months, but am running into an annoying situation where if emby starts a new stream and it exceeds the steam limit i have set in HLS-Proxy, the oldest stream is kicked off. What I would like to see is that the new stream is blocked rather than the roll over behaviour. My searches have not yielded a solution to this except to confirm that this is the default behaviour of HLS-Proxy I dont want Emby to restrict the steams because i use the restreaming feature, so ideally this would be enforced from HLS-Proxy. Any ideas on how to do this or are there parameters for HLS-Proxy that are not availbable from the Web config that can be set in the Local.Json file?

Perhaps I don't I understand exactly how your fix works I entered "wsreset -i" in an elevated powershell before installing EMBY Theater (using the Winget command) and afterwards but I get the same error. I have posted a screen shot. Please explain if I have installed incorrectly or used the wsrest command wrongly. Thanks.

Shouldn't be any bigger problem As a sidenote, I want to give a heads up and recommend using TMDB and their API feature: https://developer.themoviedb.org/reference/getting-started Feels like this has flown under the radar a bit within this plugin. This gives some rally nice lists as well.

Hi. I have 3 firesticks exhibiting the same problem. The one I'm testing now is fire TV stick hd (1st gen) running fire os 7.7.1.6 The emby version on the firestick is 2.1.54a It's not just this particular episode that is causing issues. Alot of the x265 encoded episodes are having this problem recently

Yes, of course; in fact, if I try to create the user on another server, it works fine. But on this one, that error appears. I'm not sure if the issue lies with my server or with a corrupted installation file.

Yeah, it's been there forever but it's somewhat easy to overlook. Logically, it is placed where it should be (Readers>Downloaders>Savers), but maybe practically it should be moved up, below Readers, so both NFO-related settings are kinda grouped.

So here the main reason I stick with Emby for Android... I can press the home button on the onn remote and it kills any app. I am able to go back into any app and it starts over. No third party software, no remote mapping. Just using the developer mode., but the home button doesn't kill Emby for Android TV. Petty I know.

Are all the bugs being tracked by the development team? Is there an estimated timeline for fixing this issue? This issue is still present in version 4.10.0.40 (Emby Android 3.5.55). The only workaround I found is using Emby for web on the TV.

Thanks! With the new version 4.9.5.0, I can now delete users successfully, so that issue is resolved. However, I still cannot create new users using Emby Connect. I get this error: “Error adding Emby Connect account. Have you already created an Emby account? Register at https://emby.media/connect.” So the problem is now only with adding/creating users through Emby Connect. Any idea what could be causing this issue or what I should check?

Hi, that’s some interesting ideas that you have suggested! I also have a largish music library (not Classical though) and have been using Emby, for a few years now, to manage it. Mostly Artist/Albums based Collections, more so than Song Playlists. Presently, I have 900+ Collections, the vast majority being “Related Artists” groupings. I agree with your point 1. It would be nice to have this separation. If you use the web client app via a browser, then there are some CSS workarounds to manually hide (e.g.) selected Playlists from the Included In row. To separate Collections and Playlists into two rows, via a workaround, is more difficult (I have tried – but have not succeeded - yet). All your other points, I can understand where you are coming from, but a lot is possibly dependent upon how you are organizing to suit your preferences – so I can see possible pros and cons for the other points… everyone curates differently, I expect? I’m not going to suggest how you should organize, but here’s some general suggestions that may be useful, if you haven’t tried them already: Creative combinations of Collections and Playlists PLUS Tags and Genres. Creative use of embedded metadata to import into the fields that Emby accepts. Use of smart playlists plugins (native Emby is coming) Use of Coverart and/or various badge plugins (I don’t use these myself) Use emojis and symbols in text strings to differentiate, group and display required info Use photo libraries for cross-referencing music collections (one of my current projects) All the above points are mostly non-technical. All the below points mostly require web app, with varying degrees of difficultly: Explore various plugins and other tools developed by community members Use custom CSS within Emby (community members, and even AI, can be helpful) Use custom JavaScript, perhaps via browser extensions Create your own plugin (I haven’t advanced this far myself) With the above (and more) Emby has a lot of flexibility. Just depends how far you want to go with it for yourself… Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply! So the album artist is indeed tagged differently, however the MusicBrainz ID is the same as can be seen in the following example: While this is correct that files have a different Album Artist, i think in the case of an Artist using an "Alias" in the sense of a different "style" of writing their name (or even making a typo) this should be linked to the same artist based on the MusicBrainz ID - so i guess the MusicBrainz ID should take precedence over the pure Album Artist string, as in my opinion the Music Brainz ID is a clear identifier where as the Album Artist string is but a loose convention. Ideally emby server would treat those discrepancies between the tagged MusicBrainz Artist ID and the Album Artist string contents just like MusicBrainz and other Services do: Whenever there is an anchor or navigation-link, the link itself should refer to the MusicBrainz ID but the link text should be based on the Album Artist string. That way, if Album Artist is different but the ID is same, it is an Alias. If the ID is different, this is intentionally a different artist. If there is no ID, the Album Artist should be treated as the identifier (first match). Since MusicBrainz seems to be the default datasource encouraging the user to use and also contribute to the database, i think this would be a good default change. Otherwise i think i could simply "script" my Picard to overwrite the Album Artist content with the actual name fetched with the MusicBrainz Artist ID, but then i would lose the information that this Album was released with an Alias. Is this something that emby could integrate?
