It happens on all my tvs running on the same server only become an issue from server 4.10.0.26 upwards If you can not track an issue down then it must be something with the seever @Lukewhat do we need to do some checks? i have attached my latest server logs for your reference. Only seems to effect the amazon version of the app, also recordings are not starting on time i am going to double check the time on my server shortly to make sure its not that for recordings issue. There should be no difference in behavior using TMDB only. Can you provide specific example(s)? How to Report a Problem

I too have fallen into this verizon hole. I ordered the ota hdhomerun for now as i have an antenna on my roof and should get the basic locals with it for now. I have a dumb question for the group but does this also effect the dvr itself (i.e. it will stop working not just the cable card, how about the modem)? Thanks,

@AgostinoMedia; Please answer the following; Do you have any success with Plex? Do you have any success with Emby? For the failures that you encounter, what messsage are you getting? If you are getting amazon music or a message something like I don't know how to help you with that, that is an Alexa problem.. If you get a message saying that I cant locate the media in you library that is an Ear Wax config problem, THAT I can fix. Please answer my questions and we can go from there. Thanks

No it just doesn’t work for either anymore. Alexa just doesn’t know how to help me with that haha

And it still doesn't run detection for all videos with missing end credits? Be sure this setting is disabled or it will only process new files since it last ran.

sooo.... i signed up for channels dvr free for this month to attempt the fios TVE .. the auth for me WORKED.. but man did i lose a lot of channels... from slightly under 400 to 102 in Channels.. and the sad thing is many most LOCAL broadcast ones that i "need" (mostly for live nfl games starting soon!).. arent here... dont see normal ABC/NBC/normal Fox.. (i see fox news something else).. etc im gonna keep working on it.. i dont want necessarily to spend for YT TV... and i dont want to lose live tv overall.. november is not far away and its a risk to just wait it out and see what day the hdhr/cc just "drop" my .02 as i battle this... -Matt

So, I had to reinstall emby and start scraping metadata all over again. I prefer the movie database over the tv database for my metadata, I have only moviedb checked in library settings, it works great for movies, but for my tv library it doesn't seem to be sourcing the episode info, it won't even combine the two different format versions of some episodes I have despite following all the normal naming parameters. Is this normal? This is for a mixed library and I am running Emby v4.8 btw (I'm not updating because the new versions don't play nicely with mklinks).

I tried what you said and what it does is it plays music from amazon music instead. I'm going to try again from scratch, i disabled and re-enabled the skill, I reconfigured my plex credentials on the ear wax config web page, i'll test that out. If that works, I might still test it with Emby to see if that works too. I'll let you know today. I'm in Canada btw.

Atrium 1.6 is on the App Store. Two of the things in it were reported in this thread, and one of them I left here with a "no date from me" — so this is me coming back to it. The featured artwork isn't cropped any more. It's no longer a band across the top of the home screen: the picture fills the screen and the rows sit on top of it, so a 16:9 image in a 16:9 screen has nothing to lose off its top edge. What I said it still needed was a real television, and it's had one — no banding in the fade, and no line along the bottom of the image while scrolling, which were the two ways it could have gone wrong on an actual panel and never on a simulator. The thin strip of flat background above the featured area is gone too. And while I was in there: a title's own page had been showing that same artwork about 5% too large, losing a strip down each side, which is why moving between the two screens never quite lined up. They now show it the same. The number next to each featured source says what it counts. It read "Movies · 16" and looked like a library count; it now reads "16 eligible", with a line underneath saying where the number comes from — of that library's 16 newest items, the ones that have a background image. That was asked here as well, and the question was right: the label was doing a bad job of answering it. Libraries that mix films and shows now show up. This is the new thing in the release. If you have a library with both kinds in it — a recordings folder is the usual way to end up with one — the app wasn't showing it to you at all: not on the home screen, not in the library list. And at the same time it was quite happily showing you what was inside it, in search, in Continue Watching and in favourites. So it told you that you had no compatible libraries while putting your films on screen. It's now a library like any other: its own grid — films and shows, with no loose episodes, seasons or folders in the way — with its genres, its suggestions, its count and its own tile. One thing to expect on the way there: that library gets its tile on the home screen, but no "Recent in …" row. The app asks the server for the library's newest items and gets an empty list back when the library has no declared type; asking exactly the same way for a normal Movies library returns all sixteen. Nothing else about the library is affected. And a recording that is still being written now appears as the episode it is, season and episode number and all, instead of as a shapeless item — which matters because that is the moment you are most likely to be looking at it. The app icon is new. You get this one whether you asked for it or not, so I would rather say it than have you find a different tile on your Apple TV. Where there was a columned façade there is now the atrium itself: the courtyard, the opening in the roof that lets the light in, and the basin underneath that catches it. It isn't a change of taste — the old columns came out under three points wide on the icon and read as a smudge — and it is the same mark everywhere now, in the app, in the Apple TV top row and on the website. And new favourites appear without restarting the app, with the featured item noticing too: add or remove one, or change what feeds it, and it takes effect there and then. As ever, if something looks wrong on your library, please say so here. Two of the items above exist because somebody did.

Looks like that without any metadata and single videos not as awhole channel plus when i do refresh internet channels gott messed up and disappears and comes under latest media of my categories

This is a stupid Alexa behavior.. so to get around it, what I have found that works is the following Tell Alexa, open Ear Wax After Ear Wax responds with What would you like to hear, Say Ask Ear Wax to play some music... You should be good to go. You should only have to do this, Open Ear Wax, ONE time Btw, Amazon is looking into this issue on why Alexa is hijacking the command and sending it a music provider. You can also try to disable and reenable the skill. Please tell me your location. I am in the U.S. and this rarely happens to me. Keep me informed

Okay well asking ear wax provider status worked once for emby and when I asked it to play music it would not play from emby however. But Amazon. Ear wax play some music. Then I tried my plex, it connects on the setup page but when I ask ear wax provider status my device gives me a “not sure how to help you with that”.

Just confirmed one of the videos the pop up appeared for is only 2 minutes long. This seems to be showing up in all the clients I've tested so far. Windows and Theater as well.

I’ve just released v2.0.8.10, which fixes an issue where the YouTube player or an ad could remain active and continue playing over the next Emby item.

I’ve just published a new release that should fix this. Please update the plugin and restart Emby Server. Then add a Latest Media row in the Home Screen settings and select only the YouTube library. With “Show YouTube root folders at Emby’s top level” enabled, each YouTube channel should now appear as its own row.

For those that seem clueless Apple did not use the same layout for all devices.
