Ich habe jetzt die „Version 4.10.0.25 beta“ Installiert und mal ein wenig mit der neuen Einstellung der Startseite gespielt ... es ist wirklich faszinierend, was alles möglich ist. Man muss aber auch dazu sagen, dass man die neuste Android App Version auf seinem Gerät installiert haben sollte, damit alle Einstellungen auch den gewünschten Effekt zeigen. Hier meine Ansicht im Browser: Auf meinem Fire-TV 4K Stick sah es aber mit der alten App Version 2.1.xy leider so aus: Die Änderungen wurden ebenfalls nicht übernommen, auch nach einem Neustart des Sticks keine Veränderung. Ich habe dann die Aktuelle Emby für Android (nicht TV) 3.5.37 Installiert ... und siehe da zuerst: Dann noch ein wenig mit den Einstellungen experimentiert ... Et voilà! Beim Runter Scrollen wird dann schön Reihe für Reihe ... alles so angezeigt wie im Browser Voreingestellt! Nun brauche ich auch die lange von mir gewünschte Funktion zur Ansicht der Bewertungen unter den Filmen in der Hauptansicht nicht mehr! Es wird mir alles angezeigt, sobald ich einen Film oder Serien in der Vorschau Markiere. Das ist wirklich Wunderbar Diesen Schalter habe ich gefunden, dieser muss zwingend auf „On“ sein: Er ist nur über den Browser am PC zu finden, im Stick-Menü habe ich ihn nicht (Keine Admin-Rechte am Stick) gefunden. Nun müssen nur noch alle Familien Sticks ein Update haben, dann ist alles wunderbar. @Emby Team ... Danke für eure Arbeit!

Hello, thanks a lot for your answer. In the browsers (Chrome or Firefox) the trailers are very good. In the app only, the trailers are just ignored. Strange, isn't it ? I should mention that I have an Emby Premiere subscription.

What client? What device? What server version? Y'know, anything that might give a clue what you are even using... Paul

I have no experience of NASes, but I would assume that they would have at least some firewall capabilities available, as virtually all operating systems do. In my case, my main firewall is in my router - but that is of a type aimed at SMEs rather than domestic use (the simpler domestic routers may simply rely on IPv4 NAT for security, though that's not good enough if you have IPv6). Hi, here's a better detail on two different plateforms: Chrome Navigator When I access the emby application on my computer using the chrome navigator. I go to the folder, or the films & movies, Indicate the menu to show thumnails of elements in the folder. Then I hover over the film with that has the movie_name-thumb.gif file in the folder but the thumbnail shown is just the first frame of the gif, no animation. Interestingly. If I left-click the movie, and then go to edit images, left-click on the thumb image, the menu displaed shows the image and it is animated. Showing that it is "technically" feasible to make it happen on the main menu. Android App It works!!! Just accessing the folder, and displaying thumbs and the gif is automatically animated. This could be annoying if many files are there since all gif woild be running. One might have to be sure to have a gif as thumb and a jpg as default to be able to chose to display the animated and static images at will going through the menus.

I just scanned my movie library to add the Psycho collection. Emby is listing Psycho (1960), but not Psycho (1998). Is their a way to fix it where it will list both movies? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well yes, but this was always with TV shows in mind. You most probably wouldn't watch the credits multiple times. I usually don't skip the credits for a movie, I like to play it out, especially when I really enjoyed it.

I am all for this function but i just wanted to mention here that having this one last shot after the credits serves exactly the purpose of making people read the credits. There's a lot of people involved in making a good movie and most of the times only main actors, directors and the executive producers are mentioned and known to the public. And while we all have just little time at hand i would argue that maybe it might be worth to think about not having a credit-skip-button for the sake of all the cable carriers, light people, stunt men and all the other involved folks.

Is this something I could achieve with a plugin or any other way?

I would assume so? I'm not sure which equipment would be involved here; my NAS isn't on the internet directly as far as I know.

Aha... The only other thing I can mention that might help is that you do have control over which libraries each user can see. If you limit the children only to libraries of family and children type of media, then when they login that should be all they see. Their adult parent can login with their user name and see other libraries. I am not sure if trailers would also sort correctly in for kids with limited access to only their libraries. Then the subtitles is whole other issue. It is tricky. Hope that helps.

Thanks.. your probably right and it was scanning and cleaning up the location. I just helped it out, and took cleanup out of the equation. I had it scanning all day and it's 95% through.

Hi, what do you mean by playlist? The m3u tuner is for a an m3u channel list. It's not usually referred to as a playlist because it contains a list of channels inside.
