Hi, thanks for following up.
-
I think most users would not want to have to configure this for every single device.
-
Also Emby Samsung TV app works and Emby for Windows works
-
I believe we talked about this before and i edited a plugin of mine to actually do that and even change settings for the spotlight. Will see if i can find the code somewhere (no promises).

@rbjtech But why are you still using the Shield with its outdated Android 9 if it’s of no use? Surely there’s no reason not to upgrade to the improved SHIELD Experience 9.2.4, which now comes with a whole host of improvements?
-
I keep the code on GH quite actual with the stable server releases when I have time. I've seen so much cool plugin implementations including altering system files via plugin. But atm I've absolutely no time to dive into this rabbit hole due to work and family. Long story short, I would love to see my Spotlight script integrated into some kind of plugin solution so no one needs to edit index.html and insert the js file manually. So if you and/or @ginjaninja @Blueskies278would make this possible anytime, you would be more than welcome.

Thanks for the reply. Not really too worried about it. It either works or it doesn't and if it is doesn't then I will deal with that if it happens. Cheers
-
It will actually be pretty ok. The newer versions of Windows do detect hardware changes before booting into the main OS and will load the required drivers. If OP is really worried, they could attempt to load into safe mode and remove all hardware. In my experience, it's no longer the headache it once was to do a system transplant. I've swapped out many older machines with very little headaches. The largest change was from a Haswell system to a Ryzen 7 5800G.

I haven't checked but, the one just added to Emby sadly looks like it just uses the background picture for videos. If it used it's own i could get EmbyIcons to edit it rather easy but using the background one makes it so it would drawn on that as well. Still like the feature.

Trying to run it manually will tell you if you're missing sth. In doubt, you can try our dep install command here, it should be exhaustive: https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html Unfortunately I can't even install a 13.5 jail on my TrueNAS Core VM because it's EOL, so I can't reproduce.

Works with 4.10.0.40.
-
Also works with 4.10.0.40, in case someone else is as disappointed from the built in Focus widget like me.
-
Thanks for the update! But why the heck is the Focus widget on homescreen a per user setting instead of a device setting? Looks kind of ok on Web but looks horrible on Android mobile. Activate it on Web while disable it on Android, not possible. And I'm not even talking about the visual widget aesthetics in general, it fits the rest of Emby's design choice of having no appealing design. And why there is no auto slide? I had high hopes that some ideas from proof of concept thread find their way into the stable version. Making it look nice via CSS -> possible, making this work for every user on Mobiles -> not possible as always. Oh my....this looks like a fast approach that never was finished.

Emby Server 4.10.0.40, acts like it's a new install?
Lane03 replied to Lane03's topic in General/Windows
No, this was the first time this ever occurred. For the first several years I manually installed the emby updates but for the last 3-5 years emby has been set to automatically update, never had a single issue until this recent update. Hopefully it was just a one time glitch. -
Is it just me or is this link broken? https://emby.media/emby-server-synology72_{version}_x86_64.spk Edit: Nevermind. Must have been on my end. I tried again and the link worked correctly on the synology-server page

Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.

You need to manually press the "Next Episode" button. Thanks for the kind words! -

Showing old/wrong Album Art, must be cached or downloading it from Internet
ColinPostsHere replied to ColinPostsHere's topic in General/Windows
Thank you for the added information. By that, do you mean that Emby never polls album art images from the Internet for individual tracks? That sounds like good news, but then where is it getting that image? Is it still cached somewhere from when I first ripped the CD and the ripping program embedded that image into the MP3 files, even though I've long since replaced it? If so, how can I get it to use the updated cover art that I've replaced in all the MP3 files for that album? I just want to get Emby to use the art I've embedded in the MP3 files, but can't figure out how to get that to happen for this album (seems to work for all the others by just hitting Scan Library or Refresh Metadata after replacing the ID3 art). Here's another screen shot of Emby, a little tough to see here because the song images are small, but here it shows every individual track with that same wrong image, which it also shows for the album: -
Love it! But the forum also needs a litle "loving/cleaning" from the help of the moderators/developers... Unstick sticky topics thats no longer relevant. Some of those could easily be put in wiki/help etc. There is wayyyy to many thats not important/old. Sticky(and locked) Release/Changelogs posts should reverse the history order in forst post so the latest release info is first in that specific post (and always edited in the first post). At least in my opinion. Then there could be a new last message in that specific post for the lastest release as well. In the changelog if there is a specific bug fix, a link to that forum post would be nice (if there is one) Can probably think of more but this is it right now! Keep up the good work.

It would required the server tracking more than it does today. Note, Im only concerned with video, but my suggestion works for audio as well. Ideally, what i would like to see, is the server track actual time spent watching the video and "what was watched". Ie, not just play count, but 32minutes starting at 1:03 in the video. then 15 minutes starting at 33:03 etc. Having an option of consider a video played every time play is hit (todays logic) or when X% of the video has been watched. With an option of 100% is from post intro to credits rolling (using the same information as marking it played). Does that make sense? Im working on a plugin using the usage reporting plugin's playback tracker as a starting point. Scott

Showing old/wrong Album Art, must be cached or downloading it from Internet
Luke replied to ColinPostsHere's topic in General/Windows
HI, there is no such thing for songs anyway, only for albums and artists. -
What do you think should happen?
-
I tried uncommenting but will have another go. I'm assuming its position at the end of existing css doesn't matter. I'll have to try moving it and removing the existing css. Thank you.

Great, thank you for troubleshooting this. Yes, I have a recording series setup for Matt and Mollie, the Jack Saunders recording was just a test. If i were testing I would use the Matt and Mollie as that seems to have the most issues. Just checked and there theres an update to emby, Version 4.9.5.0. I will continue to record and monitor. This is odd, radio on is show as radio one but is actually kiss fm. I will delete the tuner and readd it. I will also check the guide listing to make sure they are correct. I have added multiple emby guide sources. The guide is now correct. I will test over the test few days with a few different shows to see if its working properly.
