Issue with Actor Metadata (not all actors) v4.9.5.0

I did the series refresh, waited for a bit, refreshed the series page in browser and the actor is still in such a state. I even searched in the search bar and sure enough, the actor shows still with the broken image placeholder and the same result of clicking on the actor page leading to the "Authorization failed". Interesting fact to note, is that the actor does not have an entry in the metadata/people folder. There is no folder for him or any file with his name in the people folder. This gives me a thought. Let me try manually adding a placeholder actor for the series (I'll name the entry Kane). Then use the identify option to identify him based on TheMovieDB id number and go from there. I am not on Firefox. In fact, I am on Chrome. This is interesting, but does it lead to an explanation why some actors have the issue and others don't. Logically thinking, if those 404 and authentication failures are happening all the time, why is it only specific actors that result in it? I'll look through the logs myself tonight (didn't have time during the day). -

Hi, go to your user home screen options and click the pencil to edit the home screen section that you wish to edit.

@tOLJYI can't replicate the problem no matter what i do. Tested with various versions of Emby, docker, Linux and Windows. I checked the png image it self and it shouldn't have any problems either. Try with both image smoothing on and off and see if that makes a difference. Also temporarily try with a different icon as Skia for your Emby might not like this one. Other than that i'm stumped.

I like the new "Filmography" section in each actors page. How is this data getting hydrated? Can we set our own providers or access/modify this with our own plugins via the SDK?

Moving forward, I will be making local edits to ensure that the UI looks/functions the same for both ET Legacy and Web App. This bug is a Chromium version problem. The CSS anchor() and anchor-size() were introduced in Chromium 125 while ET Legacy Electron 11.5.0 uses Chromium 87. I'm providing fallbacks for these cases. This issue is resolved, locally.

I have a tag on the media - 'Available on Netflix' and the custom tag sets it up to use that icon. embyicons.xml

I can't seem to replicate it. Is it used as a tag or as any other icon? If possible can you send me your embyicons.xml file found in plugins/configurations. That way i can see if it's a configuration problem.

If you mean the Netflix logo in the bottom then it looks to me like an error in the image. Please send it here i will test it right now and see what i can find out.

The Netflix logo is transparent PNG - confirmed working with emby 4.9.5 until I upgraded to 4.10 this morning. It used to only render the circle, now the background is white.

For now it's discontinued, simply don't have the time to maintain it. Here is the latest version, please note i havn't tested it on the latest version of Emby. EmbyBanner.dll

My two cents on this...I've been running it since the end of August. The playback reporting is vastly superior when compared to the standard Emby playback reporting that is in the catalog. The plugin isn't required, but its nice to have the extra bit of data that comes with it. I don't think I could go back to the standard reporting. My ONLY issue is with the app itself, and not the plugin. It uses a LOT of ram. Regardless though, the app has earned its place in my stack. -

Emby on AppleTV added a search by letter feature this year and I noticed that the letters were cut off partially, which I thought odd, but soldiered on. I finally came around to exploring this on my LG and found the aspect ratio called "Just Scan" corrected the issue. It turns out that the 16:9 and other aspect ratio settings cut off part of the image and "Just Scan" accepts the video as broadcast. I mean, it's been years I've been watching with this setting and I've missed 2+ inches on each side and likely have had some image degradation due to processing. Who knew?
