I'm not sure if this addresses the original question of being able to identify albums vs singles, since there is no "track count' property we can display under each album.

Hello, I have had a long time issue with incorrect/duplicate artist identification, they are most obvious in search results. The most common example is when searching for Kanye West: Clicking on the first artist will show a Lil Wayne biography, and will show a single track he is credited on: For that single track, here are the tags where "Lil Wayne" is credited on: However this single-track Lil Wayne page is completely different than the "actual" Lil Wayne page (that has 1000+ songs). This is revealed when I play "See You in My Nightmares" and click the Lil Wayne artist link, which takes me to his full page: Not sure what tags/credits are causing Emby to create a separate artist page/credit, but there are a lot of these instances.

All media is on external hard drive (3) So far just going through the setup phase. No clients (I think)? No body connected to the server yet as I'm going through the setting up of libraries. Just trying to get the built in player to use closed captions without crashing. Please be patient as I don't know anything about Emby. Tried others but most were a pain to setup. Emby is been the easiest to work with till now.

Ah, I get it now (with a little more experimentation). With transcoding disabled, it only plays one audio track, regardless of what I select. In this case, there is an AC3 track, then an Opus stereo track, and then an Opus commentary track. Regardless of what audio selection I make in Emby, it uses the Opus stereo track, I guess because that is the first compatible track. That actually works very well for my needs and potentially saves me from having to continue to generate stripped down WEBM files just for Firefox. Thanks!

You really should consider going to .nfo files as it makes life much easier.

What image fetchers are enabled on the collections library?

OK so for this video you're getting lucky with this particular file but normally when a file has multiple audio tracks, firefox will auto pick the first track listed, and if you select anything other than that, then the only way we can play that track is via transcoding.

ich habe heute Mittag gegen ca um 15 Uhr die beiden oben genannten Filmreihen auf den Emby Server geladen. Diese wurden auch in der Filmliste ordentlich erkannt und mit allen Infos angelegt. Es wurde auch eine Sammlung dafür angelegt, allerdings ohne Bilder, wie oben in meinen Screenshots erkennbar ist. Dieser Vorgang müsste ja im log aufgezeichnet worden sein. Ich bin kein Profi was das Auslesen der logs betrifft, habe aber gehofft, dass ihr da mehr seht wie ich.

Well, the only difference that I see is the "selecting secondary audio track" bit, but it uses the same audio track in either case.

Live TV - Emby - On Roku TV Sound is not synced with program. This started a few days ago. Its only happening on ROKU TV, certain channels the sound is not synced up with the program. I tested it on other diveices and it seems isolated to ROKU I considered reaching out to my carrier, but since the issue is only on ROKU TV, Ive held off so far. Musste erst mal wieder schauen wie das mit dem Rootzugriff und der Verbindung per WinSCP funktioniert, hat deshalb etwas gedauert Die drei Logs waren die einzigen von heute, da müsste eigentlich ersichtlich sein, was hier nicht funktioniert.
