Okay, then this comes down to the fact that, for some reason, we are getting no transcode info from the server. This isn't a one-time thing, either. The app is requesting it every 10 seconds and getting nothing back.

On a Shield? I think maybe you just didn't wait a full 10 seconds for transcoding info to show in the stats...

After years of successful use of Emby, suddenly Emby initial screen has no info. Screen is black with Emby logo in center (http://localhost:8096/web/index.html). No menu. Nothing. Emby icon in system tray offers 'Browse Emby Library", etc. Selecting "Browse Emby.." bring up a duplicate of the previous screen. "Configure Emby" does the same thing. I'm using latest available Emby install; latest Windows 11 update. Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx (2.10 GHz) RAM: 16GB. Oddly, everything I expect to see is available elsewhere on the network and even offsite on my laptop and a smart TV using Emby app. So the server is obviously running but not showing me anything on the actual PC running the server. What an I missing? [Happy to send logs and more detailed system info, if needed.]

If you bring up the OSD, does it say "Trans" or "Remux" there? I think the reason SFN is incorrect is that it isn't getting any info from the server: 08-02 12:15:58.346 15537 15537 I System.out: *** No transcoding info found Why, I'm not sure...

Maybe try with a single one first?

I'm not sure why you are having trouble with the old version but that won't be a good solution anyway since it won't support any of the upcoming new server features. The next beta of the app will support speed adjustment for all audio sources. It will automatically switch playback method if necessary when changing speed.

this issue occurs with every one of the shows. I will remove the forced subtitle on all the shows and see what happens

Right, but how will the system know it re-appeared? The system is already NOT recording things that it can figure out you already have. The problem here is that the data is saying this is a different episode than what you already have and you telling it that the first occurrence of that isn't what you want will have no effect on a future occurrence that has yet another episode number. For example: "The Vote" comes in with Season 1 ep 2 but already exists in your library as Season 1 ep 1. You say, "I already have this". Two days later "The Vote" comes in as Season 1 ep 3 - there the system doesn't know this is the same as the S1E1 and S1E2 you said you already had. Additionally, now some other actual episode comes in marked as S1E2 and now it doesn't record because you said you already had it - but you actually don't... You see what I'm saying? We already have the mechanism to not record dups - but the system has to know how to identify it as a dup...

@softworkz I have now more time so i installed the plugin again. Now my question is how should it work concerning web-radio streams? Last year the idea was fetching the urls from a ressource wiki is it still like that?

The tailscale addition works fine for me, thank you for the update. For me, it works fine as is. As I mentioned I would like DLNA playback for home and some sorting\filtering options when you have time. I utilise emby's tags so being able to select albums or tracks by tag would be really useful for me. Thanks

Ît was never about the number of subtitle streams. It's about the first one: "English forced" which seems have some issue.

@dcookI think the issue is related to the DVR feature where new content is constantly being added from antenna recordings. As new content is added, it must fetch thumbnails, art, etc. If you have static content with all the art loaded before you lose internet, it probably works fine. I noticed that the slowdown/freeze became more and more pronounced the more recordings there were. Since we knew the internet outage was going to last a couple days, I had set the DVR to record a bunch of stuff so there would content to watch during the outage. It always ended up working, but the spinner/wait time grew significantly as the library expanded.

No, the Shield Pro does not have AV1 hardware decoding and relies on software decoding

I've been using this plugin since it was first released, and I don't have any other plugin that does the same thing. The issue only started after the latest update.

Hi @Luke @SamES I have discovered the problem. The files that have audio issues are stereo. When I put them though 5.1. I replaced some files with with better audio and works well. Thanks for your help

After testing out my rollback, i just noticed it's still not working! The old audio option is present in the Playback settings menu but it doesn't seem to work now. Was this borked in the 2.1.48g release? because now no matter what setting i select: Auto, convert to Stereo, convert unsupported to Dolby Digital none of them allow me to set playback speed in videos anymore ???
