Hi, I have multiple music playlists which I need to download to play offline on my Android phone. I can download one at a time but not multiple as all tracks seem to go into the same folder called songs. My need is to have multiple playlists downloaded and be able to shuffle them separately so maybe each playlist would be in it's own folder and I can shuffle just these songs. I don't want to have to remove all songs and download a new playlist every time I want to switch as it can take quite a while. For example I'd like to be able to shuffle my running songs when I run but also shuffle my kids songs while we're driving in the car. I don't want to shuffle all downloaded tracks from the songs folder as some of my playlists have salty language and I don't want this playing when in the car with my kids. Am I missing something when downloading to my phone to download tracks to their own playlist or is this functionality not available?

I can post more details, I am looking for some indications as to why it would not work on apps but on browser (remote of course)

Hello I have recently setup remote access to emby. It works on the browser but not to apps. I have it working with caddy reverse proxy. I have a Premium license. I have tried on an iphone and firetv app, which does not work, error is unreachable. Works perfectly on browsers. Not really sure why its not working. Thank you for any assistance

It seems this occurs when updating Emby, and can be resolved by rebooting the device EmbyCon is running on.

It seems to be working correctly now when saying next song on long play songs. It doesn't stop or play on different echo groups. Was there an update to the Alexa plugin? The only issue now is that telling it next song, it will sometimes repeat the previous song or the song that was just played one song ago. Maybe a way to randomize the Playlist first when you ask to play the shuffle playlist, then play through it in the order of the randomized playlist? Saying next song seems to randomize it again and unfortunately will sometimes play a recent song. This happened around 11pm last night. Thanks again for the great Emby support on getting the Alexa plugin to work with echo groups!

May I know how long do you have to wait after you click download then the progress bar starts showing the download progress on the Windows app under Settings - Downloads?

Interestingly both Emby and VLC crash in car play with a large playlist with embedded artwork. AI told me that Car Play enacts a strict response timeout from its apps and will close them if they fall under the threshold, and confirmed as much from an ios level log. Emby IOS client gets very laboured with a large playlist download, even after it is fully downloaded. Ive not tested it but perhaps a more modern phone with faster storage (and cpu) would be inherently more robust in car play ( I was testing on iphone X). The solution was to "hey siri, shuffle playlist car in vlc", by finding the command and allocating it to the app you bypass the need to open the (slow) UI. I suspect the same would work for Emby but not tested (and i suspect woudlnt target offline copy). Im pleased because when ever the phone goes near the house the media get synced for VLC, and audio playback isnt consuming mobile data/relying on internet signal. [BMW] Car play integration is very impressive, shame it took me this long to get over my "apple hang up". Better than the car's (already very good) infotainment system with better audio automation. Never going to pay for a BMW traffic subscription ever again (the way it should be when phones are infinitely more powerful, more easily upgraded and have a paid data connection, compared to inbuilt.) Edit: Evermusic looks like a very capable app for offline sync/playback if happy to pay for it.
