I was hoping someone could point out what I might be doing wrong when creating a Top List I got a URL List from mdblist.com and added it too the HSC Then I created a tag = Top 10 Then added a collection = Top 10 I did nothing on the schedule, playlist or blacklist tabs On Home Screen I selected Dynamic Media (Tag) and set the reset of the settings I did notice that when the HSC runs it will change the Sort from Random back to Name and when I go in and change it back to Random and save it seems fine but as soon and the HSC runs a full sync or a sync tags and collections it changes the Sort back to Name instead of random also I noticed if hit the Run Group button inside the actual Top 10 List the movies change randomly but the Top List will not display the Circled Numbers on the individual movies to Identify which was the Number 1,4, 8 or 10 pick if I'm explaining this correctly hopefully I'm making sense lol! I used that tag for the top list which is again = Top 10 But movies with the tag will not randomly change over time and I went to the URL source and saw it was updated today 8 hours ago I do appreciate any help that can be provided to get this fixed or resolved and no rush it's not a sky is falling issue as I do understand people have everyday life to deal with and thanks in advance.

Hi, the value is saved in the database, which means it has to get updated. When you add or remove items using the user interface it kicks off a metadata refresh in the background for the playlist.

I noticed that mine is also freezing on live playback. I don't know what version I had previously as I didn't note what it was before upgrading to the latest. But I don't upgrade on every version, so it's been maybe close to a year My system can play half or more before it freezes and it's not every time, but it is quite often. When mine freezes it is always both audio and video. Hopefully the Emby staff will provide some guidance on this problem.

If I add an item to, or remove an item from, a playlist, the number of items (which is referred to as ”tracks” irrespective of what kind of content is in the playlist) updates immediately, but the runtime of the list doesn't seem to? I'm not sure what triggers that to be recalculated.

Does that mean you had a Google APK installed on your Fire?

I'm not sure of the exact context but you can provide custom images for the defined overlays (audio, subtitles, etc.).

Hi. There are no errors in your log but it looks like it was sent very quickly after the home screen load so there may not have been time for them to generate. We don't log outbound image requests so that doesn't really tell me much unfortunately. It is highly unlikely the issue is in the app as we'd have a lot of other people running into it. Are you able to test without the proxy?

I thought Luke was describing a hypothetical future feature where the image could be hashed with context or something like that. So, the generated result of backdrop-as-series-image.jpg would be cacheable and distinct from backdrop-as-backdrop-image.jpg. I think everyone gets that it's not possible without changes to the existing image pipeline.

Its been a long time since I have had it working. Will it take multiple runs to fill in all the missing trailers for a large stack of movies? I assume the youtube api will throttle it at some point right? Cause the scan task takes a long time but not all movies are showing local trailers yet. Thanks in advance! @radeon

Then you want to use "Latest Releases" not "Latest Media".

What you are seeing is really just by accident not by design. There is only one of each image. The fact you are seeing different results is probably just due to caching at particular sizes but could not be relied upon for what you are wanting.

Hi Luke, following the only log file generated for this specific issue. Take a look that only embyserver.txt is generated and not ffmpeg* at all. The emby macos client is not connecting from internet but is pointed inside the network through an internal router (NAT). After very few seconds (about 2) emby client for mac cresh. OK, an update. I've been using another box in the last maybe 2 months or so (Mi Box 3s 3rd gen), and this resume issue NEVER happened, not once! So, I guess this is the FireOS issue. To mention that I have the same .apk installed on both boxes, so the app is identical. Maybe this could be helpful.

To avoid conflation i believe "the backdrop" in your statement is both a source (eg jpg) image and 'a backdrop', i assume Emby's cache for "show thumbnail", is an abstraction over the top - I assume the source backdrop image is taken and 'made into/cached as;' the show thumbnail (by way of the rules of inheritence); i assert when looking at 'a backdrop', no overlay would be requested, and when looking at a show thumbnail, a 'show thumbnail overlay' would be requested. I dont think it would be a [good] solution if an image presented as 'a backdrop' in the ui received the "show thumbnail overlay". I am at a disadvtage in explaining as i dont know whats possible (or the inner workings of overlays) but hopefully that explain the intention of the feature request.... if the following quote doesnt do it better. This seems to be already working on inherited epiosde images. when looking at the inherited epiosde image (whoose source is the show poster by the rules of inheritence), the "episode overlay" is displayed and when looking at the show poster (whoose souce is the show poster) the "show overlay" is displayed. Sane source image, different overlay in different circumstances, successful granular presentation in the ui...so Emby already seems to be working for [inherited] episode images; But not working for [inherited] show thumbnails.
