'Audio Output' option removed from Android TV 'Playback Settings' menu
SuperCitizenEmb posted a topic in Android TV / Fire TV
In the past, sometimes you couldn't change playback speed if the audio codec wasn't compatible, so you had to go to Playback Settings on Android TV app, scroll down to Audio Output, and deselect 'Auto' and change it to something like 'force downsamping to Stereo" (or something like that) then it would force your tv to CPU transcode audio so you could change playbook speed for any video. This is the option that was recently removed, old menu: But this option is now GONE! Instead Audio Output has been replaced with 'Convert AAC' which does not seem to do the same thing. Server: 4.9.5.0 Emby TV: 2.1.51g So how do i change the video speed now for some videos where the playback speed setting is missing? -

Home "Collections" row ignores Collections library sort order (Date Added)
dagTom posted a topic in Feature Requests
Hi, I'm using Emby Server 4.9.5.0 (Premiere enabled) and noticed what appears to be inconsistent behavior regarding Collections sorting. Current behavior: My Collections library is configured to sort by Date Added. When I open the Collections library, the sort order is correct and newly added collections appear first. However, the "Collections" row on the Home screen does not use this sort order. It always appears to be sorted alphabetically (or by Sort Name). Expected behavior: I would expect the Home "Collections" row to respect the sort order configured for the Collections library, just as it is displayed when opening the library itself. Question: Is this the intended behavior, or is it a bug? If it is intentional, is there currently any way to configure the sort order of the Home "Collections" row independently? Thanks! -

No, it depends more on the permissions of the user that launched the server.

Right, so given the occasional problems with season/episode mismatch, it would genuinely help if I could mark something as "already in my library."

Has the way Emby Premiere devices are counted changed recently?
Jdiesel replied to Juanrendon's topic in General/Windows
Full playback on mobile apps has always been a Premiere or per app unlock. Every change to the matrix can be view using the Wayback Machine. Feel free to go back and look for any changes. https://web.archive.org/web/20240324073007/https://emby.media/support/articles/Premiere-Feature-Matrix.html -
Android application cannot playback audiostream (DTS-HD MA Stereo in *.mkv)
voodoo5_6k replied to voodoo5_6k's topic in Android
Ah, OK. Sorry for that. The only new part was that Emby Android TV client does play what the Emby Android client currently can't. -
Hi, Is there any workaround to including videos from a 'Home Videos and Photos' library? Under my Rules section, I'm only pulling in Libraries that have TVShows or Movies specifically, but I want to make a LiveTV station of what would be considered 'Home Videos'. Thanks.

This filter already exists.

HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
-
Such as? There is nothing truly universal. Tvdb does not have anything to link to our guide data, and the guide data doesn't have any tvdb identifier. Using the numbers is the closest available option. Using episode title is not sufficient as it will result in things happening in cases when they should not.

Juanrendon replied to Juanrendon's topic in General/Windows
Yes, but since when has it been like that? Previously, Android mobile devices didn't count as Premiere devices. Does anyone know when this policy started? -

Harold1947 started following cover art missing on many albums
-
I LOVE Emby....however no matter what I do I can't get all the album artwork to show. All albums have the artwork embedded in the tracks and also a jpg folder. There is no difference in the cover art between the shown album art and the missing. Help!

As already stated, this recording is in my library but the season#/episode# for upcoming recordings doesn't always match the season#/episode# from TVDB which is what I use for my library. This seems to happen frequently with American Experience and Frontline episodes, although I have noticed it occasionally with other shows. This is why at one point I was advocating a file format that could contain all relevant metadata, but I digress...

Well that depends on what you want to use. Do you want to use port 80? -

RedNo7 replied to RedNo7's topic in Non-Emby General Discussion
thanks for your reply! You've seen my Caddyfile above so not sure what you are referring to here? 2. I was testing from a remote computer. 3. Port 80 is not forwarded. Should it be? 4. The IPs match. 5. Mob docker compose file is also above and both 80:80 and 443:443 are mapped. Thanks! -
