Live TV - Emby - On Roku TV Sound is not synced with program. This started a few days ago. Its only happening on ROKU TV, certain channels the sound is not synced up with the program. I tested it on other diveices and it seems isolated to ROKU I considered reaching out to my carrier, but since the issue is only on ROKU TV, Ive held off so far. Now that Firefox finally supports MKV, I have been doing some experimenting. Running 4.9.5.0 with Firefox 151, if transcoding is enabled for the user, Emby transcodes compatible video and audio streams. If I disable transcoding, then Emby direct plays the file just fine. MKV file with transcoding enabled: The same file with transcoding disabled: In my case, having transcoding disabled is fine, but this could probably be improved.

Hi, not really. You can filter by unplayed, and you'll get series that have unplayed content, but there's no way to limit that to series that have at least one played episode. So I would suggest using that as a starting point.

I don't think I would do that but if you are sure then maybe I did. I will for sure be checking now when I set up a new user.

No no, sorry, I can see how you've reached that conclusion. I meant that this exact issue has been brought up before in other threads over the years. The most definitive thing I recall from those threads was you saying it shouldn't happen in the future (which given the series that showed in the list, is entirely plausible). I know the only tentative way is simply delete the whole database and reload from scratch. I was kind of hoping there may be some code mechanism to resolve this (I am a programmer myself, but I know this isn't open source...). In the meantime, I'll look into ways to preserve watch history in case I just have to delete the DB and reload from scratch. Question, would restoring an Emby Backup also restore the bad DB entries? I think the default is 3300 right now. It's meant to be like a toast, so it shouldn't have more than a few words.

I just found the 'Merge the contents' option under the library settings. Will try that.

I have all the online functionality of my NAS's operating system disabled, so I'm not sure how it all works. Would the NAS firewall see anyone connecting to Emby? And regardless, how does it impact this specific situation?

Thanks for the response but that's what I did. I think I found the issue but do not know if there is a solution. I have my client set to Folder view. Because my collection is organize into categories. What i'm wondering is there a setting to not show the parent folders? Just the contents of the folder.

By default when you set up a user they have the ability to delete anything in your server. This seems crazy to me that any user can just delete your files. I would think only the administrator should be able to do that. Any way you change this default setting for future versions? I only found this out today because one of my users mentioned he was able to do that and sure enough when i went in there all users have that ability by default. What does everyone else think?
