Yep I do already have that version installed (mentioned in my first post, it doesn't have this issue - but I MUCH prefer the Android TV version). The other Emby app does play those files. Seems to me this is not server-side (could be wrong as always), more likely it's related to the new Android TV version.

So did I. I was already using Authentik as my identity provider and the OIDC plugin for existing providers fit like a glove. Quick connect for all the apps that don't have the layer for MFA and I can control all my family permissions right from Authentik. It even auto created accounts on Jellyfin for my users as they went in the first time with those permissions. Emby really needs to step up its game here.

So maybe I should correct the title, since the issue isn't limited to Android TV (though I can't edit the title anymore). Such as video 1. Play and stop a TV show. 2. View the cast's image. 3. Go back. 4. You’ll notice that the screen refreshes and the focus is no longer on the cast's image. So on my Web app everything works fine. Android TV no way to use the plugin, as no browser correct? On my phone:- On my WiFi, click browser option, it just closes, click app it goes to the browser, but if course will not work as it is using my external domain On 5G, click app and it loads, click start then it loads and says network error, the browser option of course crashes emby So not sure the current issue

What happens if you select AC3 sound track before start of play? instead of DTS. Its can also be the shear numbers of PGS subs in that file, it has 35 of them. And it has 10 differrent audio tracks. I would make a copy of the movie file, and remux all track out that you don't need. And see if that helps.

OK, it works! However, at least for QNAP, both PlayedFromPlex.dll & meta.json had to be in %ProgramData%\Emby-Server\plugins, not a subdirectory. I was unable to see my friends (other Plex accounts with Library access). Will that be possible at some point? I was running watchstate in a docker container on my QNAP until now and this is a great replacement! edit: I set the files to `666` to match the others in the `Plugins` directory.

The setting I mentioned is in your user display preferences. It is not under collections and is only used in a TV series.

can you please provide more detail? how are your files organized? how many emby libraries have you created, and what are the folders added to each one? You must have something setup as movies.

I right clicked the file, edit metadata, and where the box for themoviedb, the appropriate ID is there. Iam then clicking the little box off to the right and it links to the wrong area/movie. Also when you import the metadata using that info instead of linking it to the appropriate show it will fill in the metadata for the movie it links to on the site instead. If you look at the url of the site there is a /movie section and a /tv section. It links to the wrong section. ALF_S01E01_Pilot.mkv Library option is set to TV Show

Its the same setting under all of my other collections but for some reason only the one I listed it bunches them up.

please show the complete screenshot so that I can see context. When you show that little cutout of the metadata editor, I can't tell what you clicked on, how you got there, etc. That means Emby has detected it as a movie based on your library options and file naming. how are your files named and organized? what did you configure as the content type of the library?

I found that directly adding the parent directory of BDMV to the media library, although it cannot scrape properly, can read the media information of m2ts files under BDMV/STREAM/ and play them. I'm not sure if it will be helpful in solving the problem.
