abhaydevsupport started following Interactive streaming Beyond traditional media servers ?
-
hey there, curious if anyone has experienced with interactive or ultra low latency streaming alongside Emby support. Use cases like live events remote watch parties or community engagement seem interesting beyond traditional media playback. would love to hear what others are using and also i have been exploring other platforms and found Red5 for interactive sessions and real time streaming curious if anyone experienced combining similar technologies with media server environments.

NVIDIA GeForce GPUs now support up to 8 concurrent encoding sessions
Xarano replied to arche's topic in Hardware
Just a quick update to this since I've not seen anyone mention it, but the limit is now a massive 12 concurrent sessions, as confirmed on the Decode Matrix. Was having trouble with .run nvidia packages failing to build on newer Debian kernel versions, and had to finally switch to Nvidia repo builds instead. I saw the nvidia-patch repo was not up to date with newer drivers and thought I was going to have to hack my way around it, but now I don't even need to do that anymore! -

Thanks for clearing that up, but still no luck when I use the correct drive names (e.g. /dev/sdc1). I get the same error message, followed by: [perhaps a '--transport=<tn>' or '--vendor=<vn>' option is needed] -
All port 80 gets automatically redirected to port 443 and encrypted in my reverse proxy without it causing any problems for Emby.

Pixelsmash Vulnerability in ffmpeg (CVE-2026-8461) - Is Emby vulnerable?
xe` replied to CHBMB's topic in General/Windows
It would helpful if we could get as early a notice as possible if we need to shutdown Emby in the short term. Please dont wait until you have completed every in depth review, development, compilation and blog post step before giving that heads up. Let people make early decisions on their own even working with imperfect information. -
The main difference I can see this is built in to emby and does not require a separate docker server to run so easier to setup and use.
-
I missed it, thanks

Hi @MarvinB, tested 899 album artists < 5 failures not bad but i wonder what success has to look like, to feel comfortable. Said Target Name Target Sortname Initial Result Later Result boney M Boney M. Boney M. Fail Fail florence and the machine Florence + the machine Florence + the machine Fail Success neo (like the matrix) Ne-Yo Ne-Yo Fail Fail tattoo t.A.T.u t.A.T.u Fail Tracey and the plastics Tracy + The Plastics Tracy + The Plastics Fail Fail years and years Years & Years Years & Years Fail Success on fail "there was a problem with the request skills response", I wonder whether the feedback could be more informative No matches found for [repeat what was heard] No Matches found for [repeat what was heard], attempting deeper dive, try again later. I was not able to "Play Track X by Artist Y" had 0% success rate. might it help to introduce some sort of searching, keyword "[database] Filter" and "[database] List" "or would that brake the "Alexa must get response with X seconds" rule. Some ideas. "Filter Artist X" "No matches for Artist X" | "M Artists found, Filter or List or Play here" | "Artist X found with Y tracks and Z Albums, Filter or List or Play Here". "Play Here" | "Shuffle Here" | "List Albums" (1 page at a time) | "List Tracks" (1 page at a time) "Filter Track T " > "Playing T [by Artist X on Album A]" | "Track T not found [repeat position] eg "Artist X with Y tracks and Z albums, Filter Target or Play here." "Artist X found with Y tracks and Z Albums, Filter or List or Play Here" > "Filter Album A" > "Album A found with X tracks", "Filter or List or Play Here" Play Here | Shuffle Here | Filter Back | Filter Track T "Artist X found with Y tracks and Z Albums, Filter or List or Play Here" > "Filter track T" > "Playing T [by Artist X on Album A]" |" Track T not found [repeat position]. "Filter or List or Play Here" Response to List<L> 1. L1 2. L2 3. L3 Continue or command Play L1 | Play 1| Shuffle L1 | Filter L1 | Filter Back If A query interface could be supported that would help people find what they want and perhaps help with difficult search terms. not the primary interface. I had a case yesterday where i didnt know the full name of the song and i didnt know the artist...such a query interface would have been very useful. Give Emby Api can do a sortname search and a name search (but not both) maybe it would be worth leveraging sortname as an additional match opportunity for difficult sounding artists. Might be worth a feature request to get a unified interface that searches across both. Coming up with ideas is easy compared to delivery -

Mint: No compatible streams are currently available
Normanos replied to EriksUsername's topic in Linux
Looks You used /dev/sdX. As X use your drive letter like b, c, d, e, ... . For example: sdparm --clear=STANDBY /dev/sdb -S But yes, i created script which changing settings all drives, from /dev/sdb till /dev/sdz for i in {b..z} ... So find with which letter starts your external drives. If you have only one internal harddrive, start from /dev/sdb. Check it with df -h or lsblk -
For file stacking, "part" part needs to be at the end of the filename, i.e. <moviefilename>-partX.ext.

Thanks for all the help Normanos, and apologies for the late reply. I've installed sdparm, but when I try this: sdparm --clear=STANDBY /dev/sdX -S ... I get the response "couldn't find field acronym: STANDBY". Do I need to create the bash script first? -
Regarding the issue of 4.9.1.80 and the plugin Bluray Folder Support 1.0.3.0 recognizing BDMV original disc fi
LonelyCat replied to LonelyCat's topic in Synology
I tried refreshing and removing metadata to re identify, but still couldn't recognize media information and play it, even when using the Emby web app or Emby windows app. Finally, I tried creating a new folder to store the new BDMV, but the problem persisted. Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details. -

Emby app crashes when using “Next Episode” prompt
UsamaWaheed replied to UsamaWaheed's topic in Android
Hey Team tested it 10 times and it didn't crash the application. So I can assume you guys caught and fixed whatever the cause was. If it ever happens again I can update you guys. -
Well they are named as visible on the screenshot in my first post. For organisation all movies are in one folder including the ones in multipart as the one in my first post
-
Thanks for the link but I'm aware of file naming. Is there a specific point I would have missed ? but so far the naming like that works perfect for indexing.
