All that to complain and have your phone number as a username? Where's your west coast chill? Emby has issues but people generally care and want to help you fix them.

For the classic fire tv app, there is no options on the record screen, selecting series to record blindly records every episode found of the programme on every channel (so you get replays also on +1 and some programmes show again on another day and you get duplicates of these also just wasting hard disk space for recordings) In schedule screen you have series settings but any optons chaned do not apply or save just returns the same when you check the options again, these options would be nice on the popup for tv guide where you select to record series and would be amazing if they could actually remember what you selected for next time defaulting the options to your last changes of them.

This is the ghost effect for new android app, to recreate this just bring the mini guide up and scroll randomly round the guide for a while, select a few things but don't play them then attempt to go back to what you was watching and that ghost freezes forever more locking the guide in focus, every button press makes the guide reshow but dismissing just goes back to being a ghost of the overlay Main guide screen on this same app seems to be linked with as you scroll down, it loads more data, if you wait patiently its fine but make the mistake of navigating while that's loading and the new data is not selectable

I have a very bad experience with emby app from Microsoft Store. When it plays WEB-DL h.265, stutters occur multiple times. And fast forward or backward may cause A/V out of sync. I tried to improve the system because I would like not to have to monitor every auto update at the risk of bringing the QNAP to its knees. add line in docker compose for mount a new ld conf : volumes: - /share/CACHEDEV..../patch-ld.so.conf:/etc/ld.so.conf.d/nvidia.conf add the path "/usr/nvidia" in "patch-ld.so.conf" => Now, only ldconfig and reboot is necessary I'm not good at docker, anyone know how I can force ldconfig execution before the "entrypoint" /init? I was wondering if it would be a good idea, or if anyone thinks it might be beneficial, to include or link movie and show trailers with the provided information. Meaning, when you click on an actor and scroll down to the Filmography list, instead of just seeing the poster and information about a particular movie or show, there could also be a trailer button. This button would allow you to view the movie or show's trailer, helping you determine if it's worth watching or perhaps good enough to add to your collection.

@Lukelooks like something in the jump from emby server 4.9.5 to 4.10.40 has caused issues with transparent overlays in Linux systems. Any idea what the solution might be?

While it is true that all films that an actor is in, will show up at the top of their page, when scrolling a long Filmography section, it would be nice to have a green checkbox, or the row highlighted a different color, to indicate it is already in your collection. It has the side benefit of making it a gamification task, "How many of their movies are marked as in my collection?!".

We certainly strive to outshine the competition and give the most insightful statistics that server owners value! As far as memory goes, if setup correctly it averages under 1gb. Correctly is really just following the docs/callouts in the compose examples. But also using a shared PG instance across many applications is a good way to spread the load out.

Hi, I have a channel that is mixed TV and movies, and it was working fine under movies only. But when I added a TV library, any time I put in a value in the "Include these named tv shows", the 'Save & Preview' fails to load, and the channel does not work. I tried specifying names and just using * in the named tv shows section, but the indefinite loading wheel shows on screen. Can we determine what is causing this? Thanks!

Found the cause! I really screwed the pooch on this one, but just a little surprised the recovery mechanism from this isn't better. So long ago, I guess I had actor metadata stored for this actor in metadata\People\C\Christian Kane\. I think that was a very old path structure that was defined by some really old tools. After learning that there was generally a new way that Emby handled the metadata and that while linux supported both "people" and "People" folders in the metadata folder, Windows was getting confused if I navigated myself. I figured since the mechanism changed, I deleted the "People" folder thinking for any actors now missing, Emby would refresh and pull them down again, but it looks like for some actors, it didn't work. (Bold in the quote below is a path that no longer exists). I did try completely removing Christian Kane from Emby, enabling the vacuum database option and deleting cache after a shutdown. But a series refresh picked up the bad path again (must be saved the database itself). Is it possible to add a request to Emby that when handling actors or other people, if a file is not located, clear out the database entry for that bad field? My dummy placeholder didn't quite work and it looks like I may have permanently corrupted these entries.
