So I guess there was never a solution to this? From a logical standpoint, Emby is a recorder. MOST recorders will show you a list of your most recent recordings in order from the most recent recording. I spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to get Emby to do this and based on this prior message in 2025, I guess that capability doesn't exist. Example- to watch PBS Newshour, which was recorded last Friday, I have over 300 prior recordings. I have to scroll through these 300 prior recordings to get to the bottom of the list to find the most recent recording. In my opinion it's logically backwards. Emby should know what it just recorded. Even if it provided a list of the most recent 20 recordings, that would be a solution. If some other solution exists to easily find video's just recorded, I can't find it.

I tried to make them smaller but the letters get distorted. i didnt get what i should put in the second box so i guessed at "cmd". Also i assumed at the lower words. so i put true as if one was evaluating the condition. So in windows is this the correct procedure? and channel.exe is a Node.js JavaScript Runtime. it is in the path and runs well in a command prompt.

How are your audio and video settings setup? Have you tried adding the app in your windows firewall settings?

it only shows up for tuner sources that provide their own image, such as m3u.

My fix for this was to delete channel numbers in the emby-interface under "edit Metadata". This unfortunately broke other things (like Dispatcharr plugins) so i asked opencode to give me a fix for the webinterface. So for me one issue is once I go into an album and click play it looks like the below As you can see you see two play/pause buttons (small banner at the bottom) I would expect it to look more like the above, where it maximises the now playing window. Or Alexa ecosystem is randomly detecting 'Music' context and thinks i know what the user really wants. There is no way it is my pronunciation. You cant say "Chvrches" in english only "Churches". Fortunately 264 and 265 are supported by my Roku and new TCL device, it was more about which is the preferred, if there is a preferred for the best performance and any settings I should be making as standard practise in the server

Hi guys, For the past several weeks I've been having issues with Emby fetching movie / TV posters and not generating video thumbnail chapter images for newly added tv shows. I am having this issue on both of my Emby installations. 1. When I add a new movie, Emby is downloading the worst possible quality poster. Most of the time it's 200 x 300. A lot of times it skips downloading the backgrounds. 2. For TV shows, it is no longer generating images for each Episode OR Chapters in the episode. It uses the "Thumb" for these. To make things even more confusing, the Movies seem to generate the chapter thumbnails properly. Only TV Shows seem to be using the "Thumb" . I thought there used to be a setting in the Fetcher Settings to download highest rated images first, but I can't find it or it seems to be missing. I'm attaching screen shots of newly added movies that Emby chose the lowest quality posters, a screen shot of a TV show to show you the thumb being used for chapters and episode images. Attaching 2 logs, embylog and image log. Oh, I have also completely refreshed my TV Show library replacing all metadata and images TWICE. I have triple checked my library settings, fetcher settings and compared them to my Movies library settings. The other apps allow changing the theme or background color to something that provides better contrast. The channel logos are loaded as part the the Emby TV guide data, I do not know if there is a way to request a channel logo change.

Is there any more information needed for this report? This is the main issue keeping me from using the universal version instead of the for AndroidTV version. I just experienced some media playback issues using the old for AndriodTV version. To get around it for a certain video, I had to assign an external player. I'm not sure why the video is having issues with playback in Emby for AndroidTV. It want's to convert the video for some reason even though direct playback of the video does work in other players like NovaPlayer and Kodi. That's a diiferent issue, but would be moot if the OP issues was resolved.

Yea right - in the grid it's possible, but it's more like an icon in a table cell, not like a free-standing single image - that's why I hadn't even thought about it. If that satisfies your needs, I'm glad that you found it.
