I came here to see if there was any limitations to music library size. It matches up with my experience testing across different client devices and even from two media servers. Shuffle when looking at the library in alphabetical order for example will only populate the queue with artists A-C or D. A not so elegant solution I use is randomising the song list before playing shuffle. It gets a little more variation in the playlist but still not across the entire library. When playing by genre for example, just now I had two songs in a row from a two song single and both songs were the same (original and extended versions) while shuffling. Also a number of times there have been 4-5 songs in a row from the same album when shuffling. So this is my +1 interest in expanded music player options/functionality.

Late on conversation but, this happened to me when collections has a genre even if the items in the collection does not have it. Hope this helps.

People simply don't say thank you enough for these great plugins! Let me say thanks on behalf of those who forgot to do so! For an old (very old) german TV series junkie like me, this is exactly what I’m looking for. But for a technical novice like me—it’s been tricky since DSM 7—there’s just too much `sudo` and the like involved. I hope you manage to get it into the plugin library; that would make things easier for me and surely for many others, too. @sh0rty implementation is also fantastic, though—even with the instructions provided—I have no idea how I’d actually go about setting it up. But still—great job!

It's all gone silent from the Emby team. Don't worry, they are busy adding new features you don't really need. This is not a priority fix

Beste, Ik ben 76 jaar een een leek op ,de computer, mijn probleem is dat emby mijn nieuwe acasis 5 bay external array 2 5/3 5 inch niet kan lezen. met mijn oude externe behuising had geen probleem. Emby draaid op windows 11. Windows zelf lees de harde schijven wel en elke schijf staat op delen met iedereen. The emby team could also be better at advertising. For example the emby website has screenshots from like 10 years ago. Same thing with the clients. If I was a new costumer and saw those screenshots I would look for alternatives
