Merging Live TV recordings and downloaded TV recordings for same show
Luke replied to flashls82's topic in General/Windows
Hi, you could add two folders to one library, one for recordings, one for other content. Then configure live tv recording settings after that. -

So, what you really want is a tool to convert your folders into collections or playlists?

Android App silently "crashes" when switching networks
Luke replied to brothom's topic in General/Windows
Currently when you are browsing the user interface, apps can recover from network changes without having to restart. It's only when playing that we don't have this yet, but we do plan to improve it. -
Android App silently "crashes" when switching networks
Luke replied to brothom's topic in General/Windows
No. Users on the LAN would prefer the LAN address be used when possible. -
Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
-
HI, we are looking into it. Thanks.

Pixelsmash Vulnerability in ffmpeg (CVE-2026-8461) - Is Emby vulnerable?
CHBMB replied to CHBMB's topic in General/Windows
I've sent a PM to the Emby devs as well, but, whilst it's been read by one of them, no reply as of yet. -
Pixelsmash Vulnerability in ffmpeg (CVE-2026-8461) - Is Emby vulnerable?
Pejamas replied to CHBMB's topic in General/Windows
Came here straight after seeing the jellyfin post on reddit expecting to see an update. -
what is proper is subjective. The server supports lots of different methods of naming and organization, and sometimes folder view is useful.
-
hi, can't you do this with channel tags?
-
Totally agree, and that’s exactly what’s needed!

Inquiry regarding the client-side automatic server IP and port recognition feature.
Luke replied to sunmagic's topic in General/Windows
You've already got that in emby server network settings. you can customize both the local lan address and wan address if needed. It's just not recommended because you will have to remember to keep it up to date, and if you forget, you will have problems. -
How does the web app compare in TV mode?
-
Yes it's not a bad idea, but it would be based on what's in the guide, not tvdb.

No "Playlist" Tab For Television Shows
HouseOfCards replied to HouseOfCards's topic in General/Windows
I'm sure I mentioned this somewhere, and others too.... But I'm not understanding the "Folders" tab in most libraries. If done properly, folders is usually just a mirror of some other tab. In TV, for example, "folders" is just a copy of my "shows" tab... For music, "folders" is just my "album artists" tab... Etc... Maybe it's useful in some edge case, but I never have a need to use it anywhere. But configurable tabs for each library would solve it all. You got my vote. LOL. Have a good day. -
That's great investigation. Thanks for the info.

I think the issue is that we have a large number of tabs in TV libraries as it is. Maybe it should wait until the tabs are configurable.

No "Playlist" Tab For Television Shows
HouseOfCards replied to HouseOfCards's topic in General/Windows
I have to be honest, I'm not 100% sure either. Most of the time, most of what I do with the server is "muscle memory", and for some reason, I feel as though I used to just go to my TV library and select a playlist. I also have playlists on my home screen, so I might be confused how I got to them. If it wasn't always there, it would be nice to have... -
