I just tried using the Xbox again and must say I'm glad I have a Shield. Getting Atmos and HDR to trigger correctly in Emby is a nightmare even if it's not transcoding and everything on the Xbox side is configured. There's also an option in the app to auto transcode anything > 30mbps because of Xbox issues. Though you can turn that off.

Just tried this. No luck. There is something going on with my Shield Emby App because I've been doing more testing and some movies have no audio but the subtitles are working, other movies are working with audio and subtitles, some movies are not playing at all. Emby server is working flawlessly from my PC and phone but on the Shield it is having lots of problems. I think I am at the point where I am going to start my server over fresh. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the help.

Well from you screen shot, it indicates that you are trying to connect to you internal ip.

Yes, turn on debug logging in system settings and then recreate the issue before sending it directly to quickmic in case there's private information in it. Then turn off debug logging.

Correct, Samsung has never supported FLAC internal to video container. Samsung only supports it as a music/audio file. It may have semi worked before, but if it now doesn't because of a Tizen update and not an app update then it sounds like Samsung pulled the plug altogether. However, it should at least try to transcode.

Update: Tried Moonfin just for fun. Same problem there. Media3 player don't show at all, mpv player trying to show but it just stops.

I'm using the native mode. I'll have to try grabbing the kodi log from my ShieldTv later. Just enable the log in kodi?

No port forwarding has always been set up thats why i dont understand why remote access is not working but was as no settings have changed

Well did you connect to the server via you remote IP?

I believe the fix is in .50. You may need to sideload or join the beta on Google if you don't see it in the store.

Hmmm so this whole thing seams more AI work that anything, even your first post? Care to explain how this has been made / if and how AI has been used. Port forwarding is set up and it was working well, still port forwarding but these are the messages i get, thats what does not make sense

You need to setup port forwarding on your router. There's an option within the network settings on the server or various guides on the emby website.

Installed emby and all was working well set up on synology and then used my Lan for three TV,s and all worked great . Then put i on an iphone and then an android and it was fantatsic . Then the android and iphone just stopped working three days later, can get to the emby connect page. All works across Lan but not remotely on 4g or 5g No setting changed, tried removing and then installing again checking all the previous settings and nothing has changed, has anyone else had this problem

That is your server version. What version of the app (shown in the app settings)?

4.10.0.20 beta I did ran in to the problem when using the latest stable. Then updated to beta, but it did not help.

Sorry it's not an emby problem, RTM is NOT supported for network shares (by any OS AFIK).

If you click the home button it doesn't actually close the app and it's still running in the background. That way you can do things like use PiP or play music from Emby while using other apps. If you click Exit instead it actually fully closes the app just like if you force closed it by double clicking the Home button. My guess is that it isn't refreshing unless the app is fully closed and reopened. In other words, it doesn't automatically recheck the server for updates and refresh except on first start. So, when you open it without Exiting it just pops up what you saw the last time you used it because it was never closed. That's for the devs to decide though because there should be a way to make it recheck the server and refresh without forcing it to close.

Just noticed your server is running on a Shield. The same device as the app? Have you tried disabling HW accel transcoding?

With exactly which version of the app?
