I'd like to be able to do this for a content rail on the homescreen: Show Movies that are 4K with a specific audio codec from a specific Genre and from a specific Studio with specific parental Rating Show TV Shows that are 4K with a specific audio codec from a specific Genre and from a specific Studio with specific parental Rating with option of sorting by Studio or Release Date example 4K Action Movies that are Dolby Atmos from 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros of 15,18,PG ratings sorted by Release Date Please could the homscreen options in the apps provide this type of filter -I think it could exist under Dynamic option there, but it needs more filtering options. thanks

Short recap for anyone new to the thread: Embeat is a native iOS/iPadOS music-only player for Emby — gapless FLAC/ALAC direct play, CarPlay, offline downloads, DLNA including Sonos, playlist management. €9.99/year, one month free, and it talks straight to your server with nothing of mine in between. Sleep timer Pick when the music should stop from the now-playing menu, and the countdown stays on screen. It counts clock time, not music: if a call interrupts you, it keeps counting. Also in this version Home refreshes itself. Favourite something from the Emby web app or another device and the phone's Home updates on its own, without restarting the app. Embeat Connect also opens from Settings, not only from the now-playing screen. Two people told me they couldn't find it, which is two more than it should have been. Playback fixes: repeat-one no longer ends in silence, the next track no longer starts where the previous one was, a cold resume starts where the progress bar says, and pausing on a speaker no longer leaves the wrong button on the lock screen. On Emby 4.10: I updated my own server the day it shipped and re-ran the checks the app relies on. Nothing changed — direct play, capped transcodes and the DLNA path all behave exactly as before. Still not there: lyrics, scrobbling to Last.fm/ListenBrainz, crossfade, ReplayGain, AirPlay/Chromecast, automatic LAN discovery, and search in the car — that last one isn't coming, because CarPlay doesn't offer audio apps a search template at all. Embeat is on Android now I said twice in this thread that I'd post here the day the Android version was downloadable by anyone. It is: Embeat is on Google Play. It's the same app, not a port — the server, library and playback code is one shared core, so on Android you get what the iOS side has: gapless lossless playback (FLAC/ALAC direct play), Embeat Connect for DLNA speakers including Sonos, offline downloads, playlist management, a tablet layout, and Android Auto for the car. It needs Android 8.0 or later. One thing worth knowing up front: the subscription is per store. If you already pay on iOS, Google doesn't know about it — Apple and Google bill separately and neither lets me bridge that. It's €9.99/year in the euro zone; elsewhere Google Play shows the local price. What Android doesn't have yet: the sleep timer from iOS 1.5.0, and this week's Embeat Connect fixes (downloaded tracks that wouldn't play on a speaker, and tracks being skipped on some renderers). They're done and on their way; I'm not putting a date on it, because Play review times aren't up to me. On the new homescreen options on my test Emby server, I set a new homescreen rail for: TV Shows > from specific Genre (e.g. Comedy) and from specific studio (e.g. BBC One). What I got on the rail, was comedy and drama shows. They all have XML meta files with genres defined and studio and most have embedded metadata too. If I picked just COmedy and left out Studio, I think it was correct from memory.

It's probably an LG licensing requirement of being available in their LG store for end customers i.e. want to be there then you can't provide a seprate download.

So on the LG G5, the scrolling seems to be a bit worse with 1.0.51. As soon as I go into a Music Library in FOLDERS VIEW, then go to a GENRE (Folders defined by Genre) then try and scroll DOWN the list of Artists pictures shown with remote control, the display just locks after showing initial 2/3 rows. If I click an artist that is currently shown, then press BACK key to return to list of artists, it scrolls again. As I said Music Library is not affected by this bug. Music Videos Library is defined as a Music Videos Library not Mixed Content too and all media has embedded IDv3 tags.

There are about 100 or so files affected. I suppose I could move them and re-add them that way. See if that fixes the issue.

The ATV app doesn't have such settings that I can find, but I'll play with the Android app settings. This show with the black background is only on weeknights so I have to wait The ATV app doesn't have the server-side deinterlacing enabled so I assume it's either locally done or passed through. These settings don't exist in the Android app.

I would try removing the movie from your storrage. Do a library scan, when that's done. Add it back, scan and see if that helps. If it does not help then dev's will need logs.

Emby Version 4.10.0.40 should be called Emby+ from this point on, what an amazing job, hats off to each and every developer who put there time & effort into what I consider to be the Best Home Media Center to date. Seeing the same. Having about 10 sources, one was marked as “show in Home Screen”. Now it is nested and the other 9 are one level more down:

So here's something weird. For some unknown reason, out of nowhere, my emby has decided to list duplicate versions for one of my movie libraries. The movie folders in that library do not have duplicates. There is only 1 media file per movie folder in that library. Yet for some reason emby has decided to show 2 versions of the same file in its interface. Both versions have the exact same file name in the emby interface. I can see in the metadata viewer that there is indeed duplicate entries for the affected movies. How or why they suddenly appeared one day, I have no idea. I tried re-scanning the library and refreshing the metadata to fix it, but nothing changed. I suppose I could manually delete them in the metadata interface. But 1. who the hell wants to do that? and 2. what's to stop it from happening again? Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this? Thanks.

Similar problem, 4 shows selected to download S01e01,e02, e03, e04, all 4 convert to 4Mbps, items sit with status Ready to Transfer. I found that i have to close the Emby android app and reopen to kick off a transfer, but e03 and e04 only transfer. 3 days later e01 and e02 are still ready to transfer. Server has since restarted and phone also restarted. Still waiting with ready to transfer.

Hello. After release 4.10.0.40, i have problem too

In the android tv app if you choose music, genre, random play is chooses music in the album. No choice to play the songs. In de web version you can choose artist, album or song. My preference is always song. I put my genre with a song not artist or album since they differ.

Thanks — that's exactly the kind of report that makes a bug easy: what goes wrong, what fixes it, and what doesn't. You're right, and here's why force closing was the only thing that worked. Pressing the TV button doesn't close Atrium, it just pauses it in the background. When you came back to it, the app picked up exactly where it had left off — same screen, same rows — and nothing told it to go and ask the server again. Continue Watching was only refreshed when the app started, after playing something, or when you backed out of a title. Coming back from the Home screen wasn't one of those, so it showed whatever was there the last time you had it open. A force close made the next open a real start, which is why that fixed it. It's fixed. Coming back to the app now refreshes Continue Watching and Up Next, and the header along with them. If you'd left it sitting on a title's page, that page refreshes too — otherwise Resume could start from an old position instead of where you stopped on the other Apple TV, which is the worse half of the same bug. Until it's out, force closing is still the way round it. No date or version number from me — I'll say here when it's in.

I am having the same issue but with live tv with ALL channels and on 3 different TVs. This started after the update to 4.10.40 that happened 9/10/2026. Each station will play for anywhere from 5 seconds to 60 seconds (estimated) and then either the picture will freeze and the audio continues or both picture and audio both will freeze (all channels). Emby is running on an Ubuntu 26.04 server. Restarted the server several times but no differenceI. restarted the TV tuner several times keeping power off for 60 seconds or so but no difference. I reloaded the TV channels on Emby but no difference. I reloaded the TV tuner (Homerun) and no difference. I plan on reinstalling the previous version of Emby and see what happens. Will update this after the fallback to an earlier version of Emby. I did connect my antenna directly to a TV and all is good so not the antenna, cables or the broadcasters.

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason you don't distribute an ipk directly, for example through GitHub releases? I have my TV rooted, and I'd really like to be able to install emby without needing to sign into an LG account or go through the Content Store. I completely understand if there are technical, licensing, or policy reasons that make direct distribution impractical. I'm mostly just curious whether that's something you've considered.

Not sure if this can already be done or if this would be the right place to ask this question but I was wondering if we could have movie soundtracks pulled from movie folders into the music library? So Instead of moving or separating the original movie soundtrack from the actual movie folder (it can stay within the folder) Example: Movie Folder 300 (year) [1080p] Extras Folder Soundtrack Folder The music library can or will scan the movie folders and the soundtrack folder within the movie folder then place and display those soundtracks into the music library correctly named with art, info, artist and so on.

I had a similar issue though I am not sure it's the same. Someone suggested I go into the Admin > Devices page and then remove the device from the list that was not able to connect. Once I did this I was able to re-authenticate and connect to my server again. Maybe try this and see if it helps?
