Whenever a new version is uploaded, the back end server generates a checksum on it and stores it. When the server downloads any plugin, it also generates a checksum and compares to the one created at upload. This is an old-time trick to catch items corrupted during transfer. Perhaps the checksum operation failed for some reason although, in however many years its been, we've never had that happen.

Doesn't have to be a removed item. Something could also be added or changed in some other way. As I said, this is just a theory but it gives you an avenue to investigate. Look for any library change in the server log when this happens.

OK the OP was six years ago and the feature did not exist back then "not at this time." I am a new Emby user and it looks like after all this time Emby still has no way to eliminate/disable/prevent the info bar at the bottom of the screen? If I wanted Emby to look like Netflix on my Apple TV... I wouldn't have switched from Plex.

Yes the problem is that DNS Adresse change, some request might be IP bound and also hard coded DNS Servers could be an issue. It is a solution but not a fully secure one in my opinion.

Uploaded a new file and it seems ok now. So the old one must have gotten corrupted some how. Oh well.. Should work now and i apologize for any problems.

This would not explain why I have same/similar issue. As I said I rarely remove media for my server.
