A WebSocket/WSS connection starts as an HTTP GET upgrade request, so seeing GET /embywebsocket in the server log is expected. The relevant question is whether that request reached Emby with Upgrade: websocket and Connection: Upgrade, and whether Emby responded with 101 Switching Protocols or the logged 404. nginx is explicitly configured with HTTP/1.1 and to forward both the Upgrade and Connection headers. If you think those headers are not reaching Emby, identify what you want captured and I’ll verify the actual handshake. The fact that the request method is GET by itself is not evidence of a problem. RFC 6455 requires the WebSocket opening handshake to use an HTTP GET request. https://www.rfc-editor.org/info/rfc6455/

Hi, For various reasons, I had to change routers and my 'new' router only allows for 192.168 subnets (I had been using 10.0.0). So, I reconfigured the NAS with a new static 192.168.0 address and reserved it on the router, restarted everything and all seemed to be fine. I can access the server from my Mac, plus all other clients, and playback is working correctly. But...since I made the change I am unable to search for new artwork and any newly added files fail to pick up metadata. I assume that the new address is being blocked somewhere along the path but I don't know how to diagnose it, and I don't recall making any configuration changes to enable the old 10.0.0 address on the other router. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Thank you, John

I don't know. /embywebsocket is a wss url, but in your log file, it's being sent to the server as an http get request. So that is a big problem and it would be helpful to learn the reason for that.

There were some classes of 2021 models that the update did not get submitted for. I don't recall the reason but I think they had something in progress in their review process that prevented them from being selected. We'd like to submit a new version to Samsung within the next week or so. Given the long turnaround time that Samsung has, I would rather just wait and submit the newer build for all models together, rather than just submitting 2.3.6 for 2021 right now.

Just bumping this topic as this most definitely is happening on the most recent stable. Search of one word is ok, more than that it stalls the server out.

I was hoping someone could point out what I might be doing wrong when creating a Top List I got a URL List from mdblist.com and added it too the HSC Then I created a tag = Top 10 Then added a collection = Top 10 I did nothing on the schedule, playlist or blacklist tabs On Home Screen I selected Dynamic Media (Tag) and set the reset of the settings I did notice that when the HSC runs it will change the Sort from Random back to Name and when I go in and change it back to Random and save it seems fine but as soon and the HSC runs a full sync or a sync tags and collections it changes the Sort back to Name instead of random also I noticed if hit the Run Group button inside the actual Top 10 List the movies change randomly but the Top List will not display the Circled Numbers on the individual movies to Identify which was the Number 1,4, 8 or 10 pick if I'm explaining this correctly hopefully I'm making sense lol! I used that tag for the top list which is again = Top 10 But movies with the tag will not randomly change over time and I went to the URL source and saw it was updated today 8 hours ago I do appreciate any help that can be provided to get this fixed or resolved and no rush it's not a sky is falling issue as I do understand people have everyday life to deal with and thanks in advance.

Hi, the value is saved in the database, which means it has to get updated. When you add or remove items using the user interface it kicks off a metadata refresh in the background for the playlist.

I noticed that mine is also freezing on live playback. I don't know what version I had previously as I didn't note what it was before upgrading to the latest. But I don't upgrade on every version, so it's been maybe close to a year My system can play half or more before it freezes and it's not every time, but it is quite often. When mine freezes it is always both audio and video. Hopefully the Emby staff will provide some guidance on this problem.

If I add an item to, or remove an item from, a playlist, the number of items (which is referred to as ”tracks” irrespective of what kind of content is in the playlist) updates immediately, but the runtime of the list doesn't seem to? I'm not sure what triggers that to be recalculated.

Hi. There are no errors in your log but it looks like it was sent very quickly after the home screen load so there may not have been time for them to generate. We don't log outbound image requests so that doesn't really tell me much unfortunately. It is highly unlikely the issue is in the app as we'd have a lot of other people running into it. Are you able to test without the proxy?

I thought Luke was describing a hypothetical future feature where the image could be hashed with context or something like that. So, the generated result of backdrop-as-series-image.jpg would be cacheable and distinct from backdrop-as-backdrop-image.jpg. I think everyone gets that it's not possible without changes to the existing image pipeline.
