I put the file in Emby-Server\programdata\plugins but impossible after to open the menu Extension. When I delete the file watchpartyforemby.dll, it is OK again.

Emby Users, I have been searching for a way to enable Emby to run as a service, and today I found the answer. It's actually very simple. Command: Replace YourServiceName with the name of your service. (As seen below I named mine EMBY) sc create "YourServiceName" binPath= "C:\Path\To\YourApp.exe" PATH: Replace USERNAME with your username (If the default Installation folder was changed, you will need to locate the correct path) C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.exe CREATING THE SERVICE Run Command prompt as administrator Run these 2 commands in order. 1) sc create "Emby" binPath= "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.exe" 2) sc config "Emby" start= auto Restart your computer DO NOT LOGIN Wait a few minutes after the login prompt appears and test access from another device.

You'll probably need to turn this back on.

Hi I started implementing an Emby plugin for showing immich photos. I was wondering what's the best strategy when immich has different users. Is it possible to ... - create per-user settings? - en-/disable this plugin on a per-user base - use any photo related classes in the SDK. Like e.g. tvheadend plugin does and registers as a live-tv source, but as photo. Is there something on the roadmap regarding photo plugins? B.t.w thanks for Emby. Hi team, I am experiencing an issue on Emby Server 4.9.5.0 where Live TV streams and their background transcode processes (ffmpeg) fail to close after a remote client disconnects or crashes during live playback. Issue Description: When a client stops/closes Live TV abruptly, the Emby Dashboard correctly updates to show 0 active sessions. However, the server does not terminate the input stream from the tuner nor the underlying ffmpeg process. As a result, Emby continues downloading the stream endlessly in the background, keeping the tuner on TVHeadend completely locked and unnecessarily consuming system resources. Technical Observations: Network Analysis: Running tcpdump on the server shows active TCP traffic between TVHeadend (localhost:9981) and Emby (localhost:60042). Emby continues to send TCP ACKs to TVHeadend, reading the stream into a local buffer/transcoder even though no active client session exists in the Emby UI. Tuner Types Tested: Tested with both HDHomeRun emulation mode and M3U Tuner mode from TVHeadend. The orphaned socket/process behavior occurs in both configurations. Kernel Keep-Alive: Tuned OS TCP keep-alive settings (tcp_keepalive_time = 60), but since Emby is actively ACKing the packets from TVHeadend, the TCP connection is seen as healthy by the OS and is never dropped. Transcoding: Inspection of the process table shows an orphaned ffmpeg instance spawned by Emby that continues to run indefinitely for the Live TV stream. Server Environment: Emby Server Version: 4.9.5.0 OS: Ubuntu Server 26.04 LTS Tuner Backend: TVHeadend (running on the same host) Steps to Reproduce: Start playing a Live TV channel on a remote client. Force-close the client app or simulate a abrupt network disconnect on the client side. Observe the Emby Dashboard: the active session disappears. Check TVHeadend / system processes (ss -tpn | grep 9981 or pgrep ffmpeg): the stream connection remains open and continues to pull data indefinitely. It seems that the cancellation token / process teardown for the ffmpeg pipeline and the tuner reader object is not being triggered upon client session termination. I have attached the embyserver.txt log file for review, no ffmpeg-transcode-* is generated for this specific issue.. Thanks in advance for your help! embyserver-3.txt

Improved playback queue handling to reduce memory usage while retaining the complete queue. Improved the speed and reliability of large library synchronisations. Library changes now update only the affected items instead of reloading the entire library. Interrupted library synchronisations can now resume more reliably. Removed the Shuffle button from the main Albums and Artists pages. Shuffle remains available on the Songs page and within album or artist details. Reduced unnecessary background work and diagnostic log noise. The test period lasts 14 days from the first installation. Installing an update over an existing or expired Traxx Tester app does not restart this period. Testing it again when i click cancel i am just left with the Emby logo in the middle of the screen and nothing happens, left it for 10minutes before closing the app. If i don't hit cancel it took 7minutes before the select server option came up

Hi For medias servers it has always been a complicated subject the backup considering size of volumes most of time. On mine I have always used raidz2 to minimize risks of major failures because volume is way too large to be "backupable" (300To). Now with insane prices of hard drive and their lack of avalaibility, I have decided to give up and shut down my server that I was running since 20 years as it's no more manageable now with Hard drives unable to source plus the insane prices of them

I tried the new app and the first time I started the episode the audio started with a black screen and then the app completely crashed. When I retried a second time the episode did play. I can upload the server logs when I get home. However I do prefer the look and feel of the Android TV app so it would be great if that one could play these episodes as well.

Hello why there are 2 versions of Emby available: Android & Android TV? Which one should be considered on a TV Set with Google TV? Because i have installed Android TV version and the app adviced me to install Android version to benefit the most advanced features! Strange. Thanks

I get the reason, but the implementation is very poor. You have created more of an annoyance than was caused by the problem you were trying to fix. Give the thing time to load first!

Will this version (or later) be released on Google play or only as APK? Wonder as the latest version available on Play is 3.5.36 and that was released in may. How often do you release on Google play vs only as APK?

The "shuffle" button at the top right of the Albums page doesn't work for me.If I press it in the Songs page it shuffles the list. Clicking on a song in the Songs list crashes\closes the app. Playing albums works fine. Diagnostics sent at 07.25 BST 06.25 UTC

Issue does not happen on the other amazon app in the store just the classic firetv app. I have checked my android phone version and the web version also, these seem to work as expected just the fire tv app having issues Version 2.1.51a running on server 4.10.0.26
