I saw nothing indicating that. Looking at the video closely, your "double click" speed looks too slow. I copied your speed and my Shield did nothing. Really double click it and see what happens. Plus, if all the tasks are killed, then so is Android TV. But, in the end, not sure what we're going to accomplish here as this is a situation that no other user is going to encounter.

Removed the dll from /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer/plugins (different location to what you suggested, but I assume that's fine) and now I can load Emby again - thank you Question is, should I try EmbyIcons again? Has whatever the issue was, been corrected?

That's the point..I did double click the home button and and all the tasks are killed. That is what the developer options does it kills all the tasks so when you go back into the app it starts at the main menu, but for some reason the emby for Android TV does not do that... That is what I've been saying, it the one downside.. still a fantastic app but the Emby for Android does fully close out when I press the home button..

Either you still didn't actually double-click home or your modifications you've made have disabled the feature. When you double-click home, you should get a screen of all running tasks. e.g.

Below are examples. In the Movie library I can select two movies and group them. But in TV Shows I do not have this option. Same with books for example As you can see the above the book "carrie" is the same but I can not merge them. I would like the option to do this manually so I can group versions that don't always group as expected across any library and also of course the same option to select media and ungroup

Luke, is there a solution for the setup.exe installer? I'm getting the same error message on Server 2025. I have it installed as a service. So the portable download does solve my problem.

What library permissions did you apply? What are they seeing that they shouldn't? Your libraries only contain your actual media. Please provide screenshots.

@fbourgSomething you can consider (even if temporary) is to set the "backup/restore appdata" plugin to skip Emby; you can also potentially replace it with Emby's own "Backup" plugin and avoid downtime altogether. With that said, I do the same thing that you do, as I have found restoring from the appdata backup to be quite a bit more seamless.
