Hi. TV Series (and all "containers") stopped showing a watched mark probably close to 10 years ago. This is because they show an unwatched count so, if we also showed a watched check, every single one of them would have a green circle in that same spot which would be harder to decipher at a glance. This must be an issue with that remote. It isn't sending a long-press when you hold down the button. Make sure you are running the most up to date version of the app.

Hey guys. A few questions about the AndroidTV app. I remember before there was a checkmark on watched movies/tv shows. Now it's gone. There's nothing there. Actually, I've just checked, it's the same thing on the regular Android app. Why did you remove that feature, I really liked it? See my screenshot, for example After life tv show. And the second thing. I have in one room Xiaomi TV box 3rd gen. How do I get that popup menu (2nd screenshot)? This was taken on my Firestick and its remote has a hamburger button so I can get this menu. Tried holding the OK button on my Xiaomi remote, didn't work. Holding the same button in the regular app works. 3rd question. In the same menu, on Android TV app lacks the option "Remove from Continue watching". Again, the same question, why did you remove it? Are you guys trying to make people switch to the regular app by cutting down on features on the TV app? I mean, honestly, the regular app sucks.

Hiding the library names makes sense if the custom icons already communicate what each section contains. A cleaner home screen can feel much less cluttered, especially when the icons are designed consistently. It’s nice that custom CSS offers a workaround for the web app, while a built-in option would probably be more convenient for regular users. For other ways to customize visual text and names.

What source do you have for the tags? What I have done to solve this is to use a MDBList with 500 titles, and make sure to have it in random order. Each time the list updates (12/24h) the list gets mixed up. Then in the HSC plugin I have set limit to 10, and it pulls the ten first items from the list. So then via MDBList gets randomized. Tbh I haven’t thought how to do this if only using local info. I might be able to add a randomized toggle when creating a top list. I’ll see what I can do when I get some time.

Also, could you introduce additional logic for TV shows based on underlying episodes added? What I'm referring to is that currently, if an existing TV show (that is neither New, Recently added or has a long season (>90 days)) gets episodes(s) added, either "Recently added" or "New episode" ones, it gets no badge as TV show itself doesn't fit any criteria/rule - however, there are new episodes there and maybe it should indicate that, orange (or whatever color one chooses) "New episode" on TV show poster maybe, when it falls out of all other existing rules?

Since switching ISP and installing a new router, I have been unable to access my Emby server away from home. I have gone through all the recommended troubleshooting and as far as I can tell everything is set up correctly, but outside my home network I just get the message 'unable to reach Emby NAS'. I have the same connectivity issue on the Android app and on my laptop. I'm running Emby server on a QNAP NAS, and I can still access the NAS remotely, just not Emby. Any help or suggested further steps would be appreciated, as I'm no expert on network settings

@Amanade3Can you exclude Season 1 (ONE) when weighing "New Season" detection rules? To clarify, with default settings: Days since added to library: 30 Days since item premiere: 60 Days since first episode of latest season aired: 90 If a brand new TV show is added within last month, but had Premiere date 60-90 days ago, it gets blue "New Season" badge - looks odd on single season series, IMHO it should get green "Recently added" badge instead.

A lot depends on the content, not Emby itself. Emby is simply the platform used to organize and play the media. If you're showing movies or other copyrighted content in a business, you generally need to make sure you have the appropriate public-performance or commercial viewing rights. Not charging customers doesn't automatically make it legal. So you should stay with 1080p if you want to have a good time with that NAS as your server.

That sounds pretty slow. A video would help. Make sure it has a good 5GHz wifi signal, not 2.4GHz

Did, tried another/fresh browser as well, same behavior. Edit: Uninstalled plugin, deleted xml configuration file, started anew - all libraries included but no badges applied. No errors thrown in debug log, either. Edit2: Rebooted server machine, getting them badges at last.

@GrimReaperdid you clear the cache, I had do this on my setup?

Unfortunately it doesn't for me, I cannot un-exclude libraries. If excluded library un-checked/library included, upon pressing Save it appears like it caught but upon navigating away and back or refreshing page, it's back to initial condition (and no badges applied).

The app was updated recently. Is you Windows store not set to update it automatically? Paul

You could use a mixed content library to show the series and movie type shows together. For that to work you need to be strict about the folder structure you use (separate folder for each movie, season folders for every series, even those with only one season). Because Emby looks them up differently according to the folder structure, the settings can use TVDB for shows and TMDB for movies, even in the one library. Paul

You absolutely should not be enabling TLSv1.0, and TLSv1.1 has also been deprecated for quite some years now. TLSv1.2 is now 18 years old. but still in common use, and you should also enable the 8yo TLSv1.3 Paul
