So, as we all know, there are multiple ways to initiate downloads. There's the "down arrow" download option that immediately initiates downloads. We've tried that one, to no success. There is also the option of "download to..." where you can decide what device you want to download to, what bitrate you want it to download as, if you want to automatically download new material that is added, and for videos you get the option to ignore episodes already watched. We've tried that way as well. I have initiated the download to my device, I have initiated the download to my daughter's device. I have adjusted the bitrate down and up, I have toggled the option to automatically download new content. No of these options has worked. The next way you can download is if you initiate it from the server itself onto the external device. We have tried that method as well, with no success. Attached is a screenshot from how we try to download from the server itself, using the "download to..." option.

It seems that the Emby server is remuxing the audio, just like the universal android version. Could there be somehow a technical naming error in the UI in ATV? It shows direct-play for audio but in fact it is remuxing it. I am really confused now

I’m using a Vortex TV with VIDAA operating system, i cant find any Emby app. suitable for my Tv either on their app. store or on Emby website, and using the internet browser doesn’t allow me to scroll horizontally on my Tv, also using the Tv Mode from Emby online app. has similar issues and it hides the side menu .

Hmm. ATV is running on a Shield with 5.1 output. I guess my PC for web app has stereo. I don't see any pertinent audio settings in either app. This is a strange one because the 5.1 track normally is set by default. If I change the track in one app, will other apps inherit that change? Or does each app keep its own title settings?

But does normal playback on an Android phone consume Premiere?

I ripped a DVD then encoded to HEVC in MP4 wrapper and included the subtitles. ATV (on my Shield) won't display the subtitles during play. Web app and std Android app does. When I do the same with recorded TV ATV will display the subtitles. Are subtitles from a DVD not working a known issue with ATV? I assume the reason Emby had to transcode is only because of the subtitles? Exactly how are you executing the download? Can you show us the options you selected?

I have v4.9.5.0 installed and I have configured opensubtitle plugin but after a while I am unable to download subtitles. it gives me an error:" {"message":"invalid token","uk":"app_102497_212.204.128.214","uid":2,"ts":1785603607} I can get it back to work by reentering my password.. Maybe a simple solution is at hand ? thanks!

Never really thought about multi video files, i will look into adding support for that in the next version.

web app and Android TV

With mkvtoolnix you can open the specific file and make the track(s) you want the default. It can be also done programmatically with a script. And when just changing this aspect the file must not be transcoded so it is a very fast process. It is best to change everything regarding this directly in the files otherwise when you make a reinstall or change to some other system you would have to do it everything again. And when this is already set accordingly i would guess that your client might be automatically choosing Stereo preferably to 5.1. Which client is this? There exists a "Downmix option" in certain clients afaik which could maybe do this.

I added two titles to my movie library, and both had the AAC audio track set but the AC3 track is marked as "default". Why wasn't the AC3 track set? What can cause this?

Fair point there but with a setup of 2 speakers you won't hear the difference. Emby always transcodes it to either mp3 or aac anyway.

I have been having issues with emby freezing while playing back tv shows. I am including the log files and i hope someone on here can help me figure out what is going on and how to fix.. I have tried reducing bitrate, increasing bitrate, disable hardware transcode, enable hardware encode. I have no idea what else to do. Anyone who has knowledge, please look and give a hand. Hi hatharry, It seems to play the next song but after that song ends it stop playing after that. If you ask it to play the next song after that, it will stop and doesn't appear to queue up the playlist. Appreciate all the hard work you put into this plugin to get it working!

@tattlerI could argue that the standard app does it the right way and ATV wrong too if I had an Android TV with no soundbar. Then PCM 2.0 would sound better than lossy AC3 with only two speakers. At least you would still have the choice to let the server convert it the way it is now. Unless it somehow also checks the number of channels which I never tested.

Hi. No there have not been any changes on our end here but your users may be using Premiere features that they previously were not. I don't see a subscription on the email you have here but exactly what message are you seeing and at exactly what times?

Just type the '@' symbol and start typing Luke. You should see a list popup. He will then automatically get a message saying you tagged him in this thread
