Hi @Luke — a couple of things worth flagging ahead of the new ffmpeg build, since they've come up in this thread: the root cause of the QSV 39 Mbps cap was traced (see jesposito's write-up and GitHub issue) to the model layer mapping the reported HEVC Level 5.1 to the wrong bitrate — the actual hardware supports much higher, as confirmed by direct ffmpeg testing. Separately, 10-bit HEVC hardware encoding via QuickSync also isn't currently offered in my case on my Intel 265K CPU, even though Arrow Lake-S's media engine officially supports 10-bit HEVC hardware encoding up to 8K/120Hz per Intel's own spec. Would it be worth someone on the team doing a full pass over the level/profile/bitrate mapping table rather than just these two spots, in case there are other entries that are similarly off or overly conservative? Is that mapping logic something that's getting revisited alongside the ffmpeg version bump, or is the beta build mainly a version update for now? Appreciate all of the hard work.

Yes, the web client works. I see the bug which was introduced in 4.9.5.14. Looks like the same logic was shared between ET legacy and windows app version. It's not a show stopper but just wanted to flag it for the dev team.

Hey that started happening for me yesterday with the latest beta windows app in all menus, movies, tv, collections. Trying to figure out whats happening. Web server shows them correctly.

Looking at the release notes on git, looks like 4.9.1.80 was the introduction of the fuzzy-search changes (Improve results of multi-word searches), so I'm assuming any version previous to this one will not have the issue. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/releases#release-4.9.1.80

Right now detail screens are the main screens that we are looking to target to support animation.

Yeah I've just used regular ( ) I've not had any filenames with X on them though, might be that Emby has been hard coded to pick that up no matter what. If it's possible to affect the output, I'd try to avoid the letters X, A and E in combination with numbers and see if that makes any difference. The parentheses should work with files that include stuff like (May 1st 2023), at least that's been the case when I've tested it

Yes, I'm using systemd. I don't have the /etc/conf.d folder. I do have /etc/emby-server.conf and /etc/init/emby-server.conf. Neither have LD_LIBRARY_PATH defined though.

Hmm, I tried changing [29X0Xxae2eo] to (29X0Xxae2eo) but it still seems to identify as Season 20. Would these be the type of parenthesis that you'd expect it would ignore the season naming for?

Yes, by making the change in the web interface, it fixed it in the Apple TV interface. Honestly, I think that's pretty cool. You can set it one place and it follows. I kind of like that. Might just need documentation.

One has only EmbyIcons installed so it is of cause a possibility. In my own tests i can't replicate the problem at all, even with more plugins drawing on the posters. Even copied over 1TB of small videos to do a fresh scan to sort of overwhelm it to have it cause the problem. Anyway, i will look at it again when they are back and active on the forum.

@LukeI think this was already resolved by ATranchina removing the Live TV option from the Home section via the web app https://emby.media/community/topic/148926-please-allow-us-to-remove-live-tv-functions-from-apple-tv-app/#findComment-1532455 We don't have an editor for the Home sections in the ATV app. While we could add it, I don't think it world be a trivial exercise, however the current ATV app does honour the sections defined in the web app - they work as expected as far as I'm aware.
