Hi Vesemir7, I was long time using Emby (also Premiere) on DSM, then I’ve moved it and other more intense compute works to external server with mapped storage from DSM - highly reccomended. I’m also using reverse proxy and LE certificate renewal via DSM; works great, both locally and remotely. DSM reverse proxy is a bit tricky, in some cases require custom edits on top of redirect rule. In none of my network setup cases Emby was at fault, their web server is pretty solid and reliable. Most likely something is off between DSM and your router firewall / port redirect rules. My advice is debug step by step with Claude AI - free version is enough to ask questions and debug logs. Works for me every time I have an issue, like recently with automatic certificate renewal. I added the schedule task we talked about and you can find it in the 5.61.0.1 beta in the catalog. Please note: 1. Depending on library size it can take a while to run. 2. Newly uploaded media might still cause the HDDs to spin up. 3. It's a beta, bugs can have sneaked their way in so please report any bugs you might find.

I might just wait until my new pc gets here and use this on my new machine with AI & Omarchy so you meaning shorty and SoliFlix aren't the only ones having fun i'm pumped to get started using AI on a real computer I will never get off the puter then lol. Depends. We'd have to look at the contents of the m3u before and after.

Right - you are telling the server the file order of your episodes, e.g. how the files are named and ordered.

Hope that question was not too difficult for an answer, then again ? who knows with this place. I will just do the wait-n-see what happens game may set my library to not save into folder then after it's all scanned in go back and change it to save might work keeping my pictures. I finally managed to find the time to finish this... I don't want to maintain this, therefore you can find the plugin (source code + plugin-binary) attached. Vibe-coded, but it works surprisingly well for me. I wish plugins could set a "default" view option. Currently there is "title" and "year" selected. It just looks better without anything... however one must change this for every Album manually. Feel free to do whatever you like with this project. emby-immich-photoviewer.zip

There is no "one solution fits all" - nor there ever will be, there'll always be edge cases where manual adjustment will be required. As I see it, current discussion is about whether some kind of feature should be implemented (and cover majority of cases) or none at all. And yes, it gets convoluted very quickly. AFAIK that is not feasible (and again, don't think it ever will be), even with the current TVDB-only implementation for alternate episode orders, you need to (re)name/(re)structure the files in the underlying OS accordingly and refresh metadata, you can't just switch display/presentation as you see fit with single set of data.

There are some cases where a group order doesn't necessarily correspond to the season order. For example, with Dragon Ball (1986), the default order is a single season, while the different Episode Groups separate the episodes according to different sagas, such as the "Pilaf Saga" or "Red Ribbon Army Saga." There may also be other cases where a "Chronological Order" is available and could mix episodes from different seasons. I was hoping to use the default order from TMDB as the base structure, and then be able to switch to a different Episode Group so the episodes can be grouped or arranged differently depending on how I want to watch the series at that time. I don't know if something like this would be possible. Speaking mainly from an anime perspective, TMDB and TVDB often don't correlate, especially when it comes to movies that are listed as specials in TVDB, while on TMDB the same content may be listed as a movie independently from the show rather than within a season. So, for me at least, I have to decide whether to go with TMDB or TVDB, and I have chosen TMDB for two main reasons: Trakt only works with the TMDB order. TMDB is the only one that supports Mexican Spanish as a language variant.

Based on other live TV features that have been asked for and the pace of their release, I would suggest using another app for live TV. Tivimate does what you are asking already and has for years. It does very well and the live TV experience is much greater (assuming you are running on a androidTV box) than Emby IMO. There is even an open source app that has multiview (https://github.com/ahXN00/OwnTV). It has some issues but is functional with multiview and is being maintained and updated. There are options.
