Bring back middle click > 'open in new tab'

I would like to review this again. So, why is it not possible to direct link to media? From the plug-in 'Playback Reporting' The tool tip even states it, it works. I click on the link and the an overview regarding the movie - in this case - opens up! Why did we leave this design? I just love opening 10 movies in different windows and take it in, all at the same time. Do note my 6 screen setup but that is mostly because I'm to cheap skate for 4K displays. Back in the day, this is how I spent most of my 'Emby time'. To get anywhere near to the same functionality I would duplicate the overview [tab] (as in 'duplicate' or 'clone' 'this/that tab', browser functionality) and I click on the media that I want to temporarly view (more than an hour), go back to the previous tab, continue looking around untill I see something that sparks my interest and then, repeat! Duplicate the tab, click on what ever, go back to the first tab. Thank you -

It's sad because the week before this started, my Trakt plugin updated 3 times (3.8.5, 3.8.6, then 3.8.8). Now suddenly, it stops working completely, and we hear nothing about it being worked on...

Searches on my Emby are also very, very slow for multi-word searches but very quick for single words. It doesn't make a difference whether the search is in a browser or the app though.

Dear Emby user, contributars and devs, I do not know for sure what to do with the following, I hope I'm missing an option or for any other kind of mistake on my side. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. 1. Search ..seems to be an ad page now. What happend? I search for 'pola' and nothing usefull comes up and worse, I need to scroll through unrelated suggestions of my own media... 2. Season view What happend here? Do people not do 'seasons' anymore? I love(d) the season overview, at minimal it gave me a nice overview of what ever is in that season at best it gave an introduction of what I can expect of that season. This functionality is gone now. Yes, somewhere there is an option to see a few lines of text in a popup (guys, a popup?!) but that can easily be half of everything, then just let us remove it completely in stead of being tickled by.. ow never mind it stops mid sentence.. I do not understand the design philosophy here. I hope it is my Emby server somehow, but I fear that it is becoming increasingly about 'looking nice' instead focussing on the goal of what was once 'Media browser'. Kind regards, Naxs PS. I'm very sensitive to changes and Emby is my safe space in a way. I suspect there are more of me here. I apologise for any hostility that might be inferred. When I do not get it, I really do not get it. Either way, I'm grateful Emby is still here. Yes, I know there are alternatives, but they are not made by 'Luke'. Thank you PPS. If I just want to test an idea with the community here, where do I post it? ( 3 )

I don't see it coming in the next beta cycle since we know this is dedicated to ffmpeg

I fixed the problem with the help of Codex. I would like to share the .dll if the Emby Team allows me. In conclusion: 1. Codex downloaded and decompiled the .dll of trakt 3.8.8.0 plugin. 2. Codex Re-developed the new auth process upon the 3.8.8.0 and then compiled a new version based on that. 3. Stop the server and replace the .dll manually and then start the server again. 4. Open plugin, click auth, go through the auth process. (wait for the code, open the trakt activate page, input the code, click "ok" and "Authorize", go back to plugin page and wait for the finish.)

Oops this should have been retired along time ago. 4.10 has this function built in and Smart Playlist has been doing it for years. -
[BUG] Unable to pass subtitles to third-party players (such as MX Player)
ebr replied to chuwz's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Hi. At this time, if you require this feature you will need to use the standard app. Why do you wish to use the external player in the first place? -
Android (not TV) application will not auto-connect to known server (LAN)
ebr replied to voodoo5_6k's topic in Android
Hi. Check the "Startup Behavior" in the app settings. -
Bring an Emby for Android TV's design to the Emby Universal App
ebr replied to chuwz's topic in Android
Hi. A feature that you would like that doesn't exist is not a "bug" . Our apps are designed to use the internal player within them. We provide the ability to use external players for odd situations but do not intend to support every feature in every external app. -
Haha, like whattaya mean it just doesn't work??

End Credits Detection for resume/next episode
yocker replied to crusher11's topic in Feature Requests
I'm not adding movies to EmbyCredit detection. Scanning for end credits would be impossible with audio fingerprinting and using OCR would take ages. Not speaking for other plugins ofc. -
[iOS] Embeat — a native, music-only player for Emby (gapless, DLNA, offline)

Thanks for the suggestion! CarPlay is planned — I'm just wrapping up the Android version first, and it's almost done. CarPlay will follow shortly after. -

the plugin works well, but not scan the file channels.. i explain if you change resolution 1280x720 for 1920x1080 on .m3u , will try rescan the playlist and not update a resolution on emby continue older config... You need to delete the TV source and create it again for it to work.

Hello, I may need to cancel my emby subscription if this issue cannot be fixed. Are there any other resources I could use to figure out what is wrong?
-
Just came here to say I'm having the same issue and thought I was crazy after trying it in multiple browsers.

[Beta] ROMote – play your retro game collection in the browser (NES → PlayStation)

So my pbp files are now showing up(PlayStation), I just think it took a little longer for them to pickup. so that one is not and issue -
@One2GoYou think he is karma farming? Because here that makes absolutely zero sense since there is no awards or any kind of anything based on your likes, post count, or anything else. Sometimes people get really excited. They cannot contain that excitement. They think the world is missing out on the next big thing. They forget that everyone may not be as excited as they are about the thing that excites them. Then they post here about it. Get zero traction. So try to keep the momentum going and the post relevant. But it winds up not going in the direction they wanted. It turns negative. So they keep posting new stuff, videos, anything to try to get the ship righted. People to see what they are missing out on. Without ever realize that everyone is different. That instead of being seen as an excited person sharing new information that others may have missed it becomes this long drawn out thread where the person is really just trying. Perhaps trying too hard. When people get really caught up in things their excitement shows in this way. It doesn't mean the OP is unhinged or some negative thing. It is okay. The person is upset no one is finding the same joy in what they find joy in. That is expected being this is an Emby forum meant for using Emby. But it doesn't mean the person is wacko. They might be young and caught up in the moment. Their circumstances might be different than yours. Doesn't mean they are harmful to me or you. They are just different. Everybody has a bad day. This guy might just be having an off moment. Apologies if this comes off wrong. I am just trying to keep the peace without ruin everything. Hopefully that is what occurs, is kindness, rather than hate. That is all.

End Credits Detection for resume/next episode
alex77777 replied to crusher11's topic in Feature Requests
With the plugins that are currently available, I think that its time to at least add prompts added to skip credits of movies similar to TV Shows "Next Episode" prompt. I understand not having a auto detect feature built in to Emby its self as it can be inconsistent but recent plugins gave us the ability to identify recaps and credits but are we are unable to utilize this information to its fullest because there are no controls to skip recaps or movie credits. Id like to see a recap marker added similar to how you can mark credits and intros, and allow for on screen prompt to skip over these marked sections. -
Hi. This would really be the same thing as skipping commercials.
