The posters having to be redrawn between plugin updates has been fixes in an internal version i have. Same with some settings that does not change the look of posters. The reason i had it do that was in case of new features and/or changes that could change how posters looked.

I have a plan for this: we could switch to clearing the cache only when specific settings are changed, or add a dedicated button for the corresponding media library. Additionally, we wouldn't need to perform a full image cleanup when updating the EmbyIcon plugin; instead, cleanup would only occur when actually necessary.

Well they at least need to be checked. I just tested adding a new movie with a collection and it is at the top when sorted by date last content added.

By principle i don't access other users servers. Specially as most servers have pirated content and i don't want to be associated with that. Thank you for the offer though. EmbyIcons does not enhance any poster that does not need it. If the poster used is up to date then that poster will remain. Only exception is when settings have been changed and saved. I'm currently working on a solution to that so only posters and cache for posters that actually had icons affected will be redrawn.

Not sure what you're getting at: all previous movies in those collections have Date Added lesser than today. If any of them had greater (though don't see how would that be feasible), wouldn't it (the Collection) already be on top of the list then?

You can also check out the other media libraries; accessing any one of them causes the media library server's CPU load to spike to 300%.

I saved the settings and disabled the debug logs about three hours ago; now, I am manually loading each image to ensure they are cached, which prevents the entire server from freezing up. There are still a few media libraries left to load. I’ve sent you my server login credentials via private message so you can log in and check the "综艺" library.

You have to compare the date added values of all the titles in all of the collections, because it's more a question of what is greater or less than.

EmbyIcons only draws on posters that Emby asks for. Saving settings will simply reset the cache (by design) to make sure no posters are stale but it will not start to enhance any posters before Emby asks for them.

Hi, the store makes it easy to distribute and auto-update as it handles all of that for us. Given enough demand, we can always look at making it available for sideloading.

Now I uderstand your question. No, those were not pre-existing movies, just added and have today's Date Added. Got that now, as well. But as said, both movies/collection content carry today's Date Added. As visible above, It's October 5th, 2026 (today) on both.
