Where do I find my server address info?

I am curious about the database error on the screen though, so please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!

HI, this shouldn't be a problem. Just restart the app and do a new server connection and enter your server address info manually.

I got a new tv and went to connect to the server. Using the media pin. When I did I was able to click on to the server like normal but got this screen (see attached pic). I backed out and accident clicked forget this server. Now I can’t find the server when I use the pin to connect.

It does do that on the movie or series, but doesn't go into each of the cast members. For that you'd have to refresh metadata on actual people, which would take you longer. Did you run the scan metadata folder task like i mentioned earlier?

So what is the point of "Search for missing metadata" function then when it cannot check for missing files? Is it just crawling the db and checking for missing entries?

It doesn't know that it's invalid until it actually tries to reach it, and this doesn't happen until you view it in the user interface.

You are going to want to turn those back on but you are saying that this channel was out of sync when direct playing, remuxing AND transcoding? If so, I suspect an issue at the source.

With the new home screen features, we're 80% of the way there. You can basically create many types of smart "playlists" as rows on your home screen now. So, it isn't a huge leap to move that forward but, also, you have a bunch of it already.

When I fetch metadata why Emby quits prematurely when it sees an invalid path? It should fetch new data and overwrite the path.

I think the query just has to be adjusted to look for the right records to blank out. Since they're pointing to folders on your windows c drive, that's probably what it should be looking for.

@Lukelevel with us, smart playlists, is there a timeframe. If it’s “never” just say why and let’s move past it. You don’t owe anyone anything specific, lifetime owner here, mostly happy, just want to know if I should ever expect it. This thread is a decade old, if it’s no, just say no. That’s fine.

Yes and it does not help at all. The only way to refresh the photos, as I mentioned earlier, is to scroll through all the actors list list every movie and every tv show. And then fetch missing metadata. Besides The new movies I add also have missing actors even ones that I fixed earlier, so I still believe it's a server bug.

I just tried it againm, Channel is TCM. The video is clearly slower than audio. We currently utilize Series thumb if episode thumb not present. And as no naming convention, it can't be automated, just manually assigned. Trying to change that.

Well, can we implement one (<episodefilename>-landscape.ext seems like a natural choice, moreso as it does get saved as landscape.ext in server metadata folder)? It can be assigned and it is used if present (takes priority over Series thumb) - and there are few new plugins (and few old ones, including CoverArt) that make use of it.
