Hey Neminem, thanks for the suggestion. I switched HEVC video encoding off and saved the change. Tried playing Skyfall again afterwards, but no dice unfortunately - the same behavior is displayed.

Ginjaninja Tools - RecommendMe - intra user recommendation ecosystem with user notifications
ginjaninja posted a topic in Plugins
Purpose and Function Reccomend media to 1 or more recipients (recipients the admin has given you access to). Recommendations are checked for unwatched then added to a user dedicated 'recommendation collection' Admin send Recommendation access model - Everyone, No One (default), Named Users, Group Membership. Configurable default New User behaviour (send policy, group membership). Configurable collection naming. Admin server wide media type control. User (and optionally admin) controlled recommendation receive preferences. Toast notification of reccomendations. Historical event view of reccomendations. Watched Medias are removed from a user's reccomendation collection on event and scheduled task. Getting Started Establish your preferred collection naming syntax. Give users access to make recomendations to other users. Use the user facing UI under the profile picture (only available on a web client) to make a reccomendation. Review the "Collection" library for users' recomendation collections. Disclaimers Vibe coded with Claude, backup database before 1st use, until tested. (Collections are individually targetted for adding individual members) Download https://github.com/ginjaninja1/RecommendMe Assume version changes require deletion of \data\RecommendMe ie a hard reset during early builds at least. 0.1.0.0RecommendMe.dll Changes Known issues Issues and Suggestions Welcome. Roadmap [potential] if Collections ever got an access model, implement that. Import exisitng recomendations collections. Store realtime notification for delivery when target user is playing something (improve chance of them seeing notification) Other Info Plugin stores data in \programdata\data\recommendme(good to know if you want to reset/uninstall)-

EmbyVision OCR GPU Edition, CPU Edition Credits Detector new plugin: Beta
RedNo7 replied to EncryptedCity's topic in Plugins
Totally understand - that's why I was trying to offer another perspective. I only stated that I'm new to show that I do not have a personal connection with anyone in this thread i.e. my take was independent. I was genuinely looking forward to trying out your plugin so hope you decide to release it at some point. -

Painkiller88 started following Task Error: Calculate Statistics for TV Shows

Emby Version: 4.0.5.0 OS: Win 11 The Task for Calculating the Stats for TV Shows fails with the following infos: Laufzeit: 9 seconds One or more errors occurred. (Type definitions should start with a '{', expecting serialized type 'EpisodesData', got string starting with: banners/v4/episode/9165654/screencap/6347fa4653b2f) at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.ThrowIfExceptional(Boolean includeTaskCanceledExceptions) at System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1.get_Result() at statistics.Calculators.BaseCalculator..ctor(IUserManager userManager, ILibraryManager libraryManager, IUserDataManager userDataManager, IProviderManager providerManager, ILogger Logger, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Statistics.Helpers.ShowProgressCalculator..ctor(IUserManager userManager, ILibraryManager libraryManager, IUserDataManager userDataManager, IFileSystem fileSystem, IServerApplicationPaths serverApplicationPaths, ILogger logger, IJsonSerializer jsonSerializer, IProviderManager providerManager, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at statistics.ScheduledTasks.CalculateTVTask.MediaBrowser.Model.Tasks.IScheduledTask.Execute(CancellationToken cancellationToken, IProgress`1 progress) at Emby.Server.Implementations.ScheduledTasks.ScheduledTaskWorker.ExecuteInternal(TaskOptions options) Anyone has an idea if this is a problem with the stats task itself or anything i can do, as far as i can see it sends or does not send the "{" but i am not sure if i should change this in the DB or if it is an error of the Plugin. Thanks

Please add a feature where Emby will retain data
Luke replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
The setting I mentioned is in your user display preferences. It is not under collections and is only used in a TV series. -

can you please provide more detail? how are your files organized? how many emby libraries have you created, and what are the folders added to each one? You must have something setup as movies. -

JokerJ420 replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
I right clicked the file, edit metadata, and where the box for themoviedb, the appropriate ID is there. Iam then clicking the little box off to the right and it links to the wrong area/movie. Also when you import the metadata using that info instead of linking it to the appropriate show it will fill in the metadata for the movie it links to on the site instead. If you look at the url of the site there is a /movie section and a /tv section. It links to the wrong section. ALF_S01E01_Pilot.mkv Library option is set to TV Show -

Its the same setting under all of my other collections but for some reason only the one I listed it bunches them up. -

Luke replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
please show the complete screenshot so that I can see context. When you show that little cutout of the metadata editor, I can't tell what you clicked on, how you got there, etc. That means Emby has detected it as a movie based on your library options and file naming. how are your files named and organized? what did you configure as the content type of the library? -
Regarding the issue of 4.9.1.80 and the plugin Bluray Folder Support 1.0.3.0 recognizing BDMV original disc fi
LonelyCat replied to LonelyCat's topic in Synology
I found that directly adding the parent directory of BDMV to the media library, although it cannot scrape properly, can read the media information of m2ts files under BDMV/STREAM/ and play them. I'm not sure if it will be helpful in solving the problem. -

JokerJ420 replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
If you look at the images, when you input the correct info, it takes you to the /movies section of the site and the wrong movie. It should be linking to the /tv section. Shouldn’t also offer the TVDB? -

Luke replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
What exactly makes you think it won't let you create a 7th? But probably more importantly, why go to all the trouble of creating collections for seasons? You already have the season groupings under the series. -

JokerJ420 replied to JokerJ420's topic in Windows & Xbox
I apologize I keep adding to this, just trying to get firm understandings of things before I forget. When adding collections under a library, any of my tv shows with more than 6 seasons it won’t let me create a 7th. I select the videos, create s new collection and it sticks the videos under another collection instead. Just like in the image attached, for some reason it won’t let me create a library for the last season. -

It looks like you disabled tvdb, which is fine, but this is not exactly a fresh install. obviously you have configured certain things. what metadata fetchers are enabled on the library and in what order?
