    Problem with music cover art

Hi, yes this is true. Many of the same functions for video are used with music as well. We try to keep the docs as up to date as possible but things move quickly and occasionally they fall behind. Thanks for pointing this out. @sa2000

Emby NFO Reader using tmdb id as imdb

the <id> is retained as backward compatible layer and i personally have no power over all tools that write nfo files. Mate, Whether you want to fix this simple bug is up to you i am done arguing about it. Thanks for considering it.

Emby NFO Reader using tmdb id as imdb

right but it should just ignore and stop writing the id node altogether.

  6. I can +1 this since I have seen it happen but it doesn't always happen. I have logs enabled on the device but keep forgetting to check them when it happens. I don't think FancyLED is related, and I'm doubting CEC plays a role either.
  7. I am seeing an unusual playback issue with Emby on an NVIDIA Shield. Environment - Client device: NVIDIA Shield - Emby for Android version: 3.5.36 - Emby Server version: 4.9.5.0 - FancyLED is installed and HDMI-CEC is enabled Issue: When I pause a movie or TV episode and step away for several minutes, the NVIDIA Shield idle/screensaver background eventually appears. At some point, I can hear the paused content playing again, but the Shield screensaver remains visible on top of Emby. When I press the Back button to dismiss the Shield screensaver, Emby becomes visible and the movie or episode is actively playing. The sequence appears to be: 1. Content is paused in Emby. 2. The NVIDIA Shield screensaver starts after several minutes. 3. Emby playback resumes while the screensaver is still displayed. 4. Audio can be heard, but the video remains hidden behind the screensaver. 5. Pressing Back dismisses the screensaver and reveals the content playing. I have not yet performed troubleshooting because I would first like to determine whether this is a known issue or expected behavior. Could the developers confirm: - Whether Emby for Android should prevent playback from resuming while the Shield screensaver is active. - Whether there is a known issue involving pause state, Android activity lifecycle, or screensaver handling on the NVIDIA Shield. - Whether Emby could be receiving an unintended playback-resume command through HDMI-CEC. - Whether server or client logs would identify what triggered playback to resume. - Which logs or diagnostic information I should collect before reproducing the issue. FancyLED and HDMI-CEC may be involved, but I do not yet know whether the resume event is coming from Emby, the Shield, the television, or another HDMI-CEC device.

Emby NFO Reader using tmdb id as imdb

    I am not sure what you mean by both sides, radarr for example write tmdb as <id> and set defualt tag on uniqueid see <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <movie> <title>Zootopia</title> <originaltitle>Zootopia</originaltitle> <sorttitle>zootopia</sorttitle> <ratings> <rating name="imdb" max="10" default="true"> <value>8</value> <votes>642365</votes> </rating> <rating name="themoviedb" max="10"> <value>7.765</value> <votes>18281</votes> </rating> <rating name="tomatometerallcritics" max="100"> <value>98</value> </rating> </ratings> <rating>7.765</rating> <criticrating>98</criticrating> <userrating /> <top250 /> <outline /> <plot>Determined to prove herself, Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on Zootopia's police force, jumps at the chance to crack her first case - even if it means partnering with scam-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery.</plot> <tagline /> <runtime>109</runtime> ... <mpaa>PG</mpaa> <playcount /> <lastplayed /> <id>269149</id> <uniqueid type="tmdb" default="true">269149</uniqueid> <uniqueid type="imdb">tt2948356</uniqueid> <genre>Animation</genre> <genre>Adventure</genre> <genre>Family</genre> <genre>Comedy</genre> <country /> <set tmdbcolid="1084247"> <name>Zootopia Collection</name> <overview /> </set> <tag>movie</tag> <status>Released</status> <credits>Jared Bush</credits> <credits>Phil Johnston</credits> <director>Byron Howard</director> <director>Rich Moore</director> <premiered>2016-02-11</premiered> <year>2016</year> <studio>Walt Disney Animation Studios</studio> <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/play/?video_id=jWM0ct-OLsM</trailer> <watched>false</watched> ... </movie> any mediaserver implementing nfo spec should respect the default tag on uniqueid
  10. Hi. And also, please, what time did that occur? I mean what time on the clock so that we can look in the log at the proper place. Thanks.
  11. Hi, there's already an open request for this or something functionally equivalent. Please join in and contribute to the existing discussion at:
  12. Can you give me a specific one? I need to know what I’m looking for in the log. Thanks

Usually a native package will perform better and will be easier to integrate with hardware features.
  14. Hi, we’ll take a look at it. Thanks:

Library Type Books using the Android App

Hi, right now the only way to play them in the installed app is to install a book reading app that registers with the device as capable of reading that format. Then the Emby app will try to launch it.
  18. Hi, we are looking into it. Thanks.

    embyforkodi (next-gen) 12.X.X support

Hey, huge thanks for your continuous work on EmbyForKodi - really appreciate the awesome addon! I bumped into a small issue and wanted to check if there's any chance to fix this: When a movie is added via a .strm file and i have an external audio track (like an .mka file) in the same folder, Kodi doesn't display or offer that external track for selection. Normal Emby clients detect and play the external .mka tracks just fine. Also, with regular .mkv files, EmbyForKodi passes the external audio tracks to Kodi without any issues. So it seems to be specifically happening with .strm files. I know it’s a very specific and niche issue, but it would be awesome if you could look into this whenever you have time. Thanks again for your great work!
  20. Hi! Any fix/Work-Around for this issue meanwhile available. Have the same prblem here. Thanks in advance Rüdiger

  22. Hi, I recently discovered there was a library type for ebooks and so I made one. Next, I downloaded an ebook to try it out, I chose "Anne of Green Gables" https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/45 Next I decided to check it out using the web interface works good, well done. I was also able to download it so I can load it on my kindle, also works. Several days went by and I happened to be on my phone using the android app (Emby for Android 3.5.36) so I thought I'd see if I could read it but I got a "playback error" Not a huge deal for me right now but I thought I'd report it anyway. Hope this helps HS

Trakt plugin unable to Get PIN

That explanation was shared 3 days ago in a direct quote from trakt devs. Emby needs to update the plugin. "It works on my machine" and "we'll have to keep an eye on it" are not acceptable responses at this point.

Transcode issue with a specific title

Hi there guys, I am having some issues with a specific title. Transformers One (4K). What I see: I play the movie, after a few seconds it stops the playback and buffers and then resumes. This is done on repeat. The "Stats for nerds" is saying that it is reducing the bitrate due the quality. Playback without transcoding works fine. Usually I do not have challenges with playback but at least on this title i am. My GFX seems to be detected properly, so I am assuming the issues is something else. Could you guys look into my logs and let me know if there is something I should be doing differently? I believe there should be several instances of me trying to doing playback of it here, and I can se at 15:58 at least a playback that had some error. Thanks a lot for any help embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-58497fea-b614-4dea-b5f9-801dca0b0b92_1.txt
