Is the app supposed to operate on a subscription model, or is it truly free?
  3. Hi. More such links will cause your account to be flagged. Thanks.

Add IMAX Enhanced field in metadata tab

Sorry but, you don't suggest to make a separate genre? Maybe i don't understand correctly, please let me see what you suggest Thank you
  6. Title Sums it up. Had a power failure (system is on a UPS) so shut the system down normally. Reboot and emby would not auto start or manually start. With my over the top autonomous repair and restart system it failed as well. Was very disappointed. Started digging into the failure and realized what was going on... What about the new dynamic tone mapping features?

Server connects but displays no media files

Well I tired to turn on the laptop about an hour ago to check some things before replying, and now it can't find it's own hard-drive, despite being plugged in. So I've decided to abandon the entire idea and just move everything back to the desktop PC, it's not ideal for various reasons but at least it works. Thanks for the help anyway guys.

Admin sidebar empty when clicking cog wheel.

I'm seeing this in the latest Emby Beta server as well, v4.10.0.31. A quick refrsh (F5) of the page sorts it though.
  10. He doesn't want to use the desktop anymore, right? @twofacetooI'm sure this comes down to firewall rules or some other network configuration and we cannot specifically help there except to try and point you in the right direction because this is all specific to your network and setup.

Add IMAX Enhanced field in metadata tab

If you follow my suggestion, it will show pretty much right where you are requesting it...

    The upgrade time has come

I was goin to say it was overkill like the rest, HOWEVER - when you said Then I don't think that is overkill at all. That is future proofing! However, I would reconsider using Windows as a server OS. I know it can be done and I know plenty of people do it, but if you are starting over on a new machine, it would be a very good time to dip your toes into Ubuntu server. You'll find it very performant. Only time I ever reboot it is for the kernel updates.
  13. It what way don't you have access? Any error messages? Do you have a File Manager on your Shield such as X-Plore? @LukeFor an Emby server on an Nvidia Shield, where would the password reset file be saved to? Perhaps the "Admin Password Reset" page needs updating with the locations for different OS versions, as the one exampled is for a Windows system. If you follow the examples in this thread, then you should be able to enter the following into the browser: http://<IP:PORT>/web/index.html#!/startup/forgotpasswordpin.html Where IP:PORT are the IP address of your Shield and the port you set up for Emby (default ia 8096), but you will need the PIN from the file saved to the Emby server.
  14. Then you should have access to the path that is shown when resetting the password. Tbh did you even read this post and what the link pointet you to?
  15. Im the owner of the emby server

    Sharing Links in Emby

Any update on this becoming enabled again? I occasionally wish this feature existed for sharing with family members and found this thread while wondering about it just now.
  19. Today
  20. Hi everyone, I’m sharing Plembfin, an open-source, self-hosted sync hub for Emby, Plex, Jellyfin and Trakt. Website: https://plembfin.com Docs: https://github.com/Lasikiewicz/plembfin/tree/main/docs Source: https://github.com/Lasikiewicz/plembfin Plembfin keeps watched and unwatched state, resume positions, and watch history aligned between connected services. It stores a local SQLite record, uses webhooks plus scheduled catch-up sync, and can restore history after media is re-added or a library is rebuilt. It also includes per-destination results and targeted retries, Now Playing, ratings and watchlist features, metadata tools, Seerr support, and backup tools. The intended use case is a household or homelab running Emby alongside another media server, or using Trakt as part of a multi-service setup. It runs in Docker and the local data stays on your own hardware. The project is early, so I am looking for feedback on Emby matching, playback progress, duplicate plays, and sync recovery. Please back up your metadata before testing. Setup and documentation: https://plembfin.com GitHub: https://github.com/Lasikiewicz/plembfin I have used AI coding agents heavily during development, with manual review and testing throughout. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0. This is not affiliated with Emby, Plex, Jellyfin or Trakt.

    TrueNas Scale

Thanks @Luke. Can we make sure going forward the stable releases are ending in .0? Not sure what happened with the .40 version being the final release instead of going to x.x.1.0. What is determining the versioning for what is considered a "Stable release" if the Stable tag isn't being used in Git? *edit* sorry, also any update on timeline for what the 4.10.1.0 release will be?

    Ordner-Overlay after Update.

Hallo, bei meinen Emby werden Filme und Serien plötzlich mit einem hässlichen Ordner-Overlay angezeigt. Wird das noch gefixt oder was ist da los? Hello, Films and Series on my Emby are suddenly being displayed with a hideous folder overlay. Will this be fixed, or what's going on?
  24. I guess I have the same issue in any of my browsers.

    The upgrade time has come

Alright, back on this now. Am looking at swapping the CPU from the previous post for a: Intel Core i5-14400 - Core i5 14th Gen Raptor Lake 10-Core (6P+4E) LGA 1700 65W Intel UHD Graphics 730 Processor - BX8071514400 Obviously budget is a consideration but preference is to go with new as have not had much luck with buying used gear. I do share with a number of family members, external, so transcoding is important as well. Next concern is on the CPU Cooler side. System runs in a 2U rack case so vertical space is a big consideration and most fan/heatsink combos won't fit. Will the cooler included with the CPU suffice or do I need to dig for something else. Thanks EDIT: Also thinking about dropping the M.2 SSD as the current system has a good one and that would save a few bucks and save my copying the OS to the new one

    Plugin: Emby Expiry Manager

I have a Library Structure as HDD1 - Contents - Movies/Shows HDD2 - Contents - Movies/Shows HDD1 is used for content that is released this year. HDD2 is used for the content that i intened to keep long term. The idea is only one HDD remains more active intead of both as most users will access current content. And I am using maintainerr to look for content added for more than 90days (irrespective of it is seen or not) and remove it from radarr/sonarr this will remove it from emby too. if using your plugin files are removed directly from disk, this will only remove them from emby. but will still be present in sonarr/radarr. if those files are monitored they will be download again. if those are unmonitored then this will create unnecessary clutter in radarr/sonarr. I think you have to use api call of radarr/sonarr via emby to remove those movies/shows or tag them as"removed by emby"
  27. Hello, I like the spotlight feature, but the one in Apple is not really ideal. As a comparison I have the Apple TV, Android TV app and the Windows app. Apple TV: Windows App with Sidebar: Windows app without Sidebar: Android TV (Fire TV): When comparing them the Apple TV cuts just way too much from the picture. The Windows App with the Sidebar does it much better. Though it's worse when the Sidebar is closed. The best approach in my opinion is the Android TV app. Could we get the Android TV version too? Also the Spotlight on the Apple TV seems to be endless, while the other 2 are limited to 12 items.
