    Plugin: EmbyIcons release.

Thought i deleted all the versions on github. Wanted to make it so people only download from the catalog. Just download the latest stable from the catalog 5.61.0.0. The betas are just that, betas. They should only be downloaded by people who (want to) beta test as they can have unfinished work in them.

Hi, wonder what to download? In this tread it is mentioned version 5.61.x.x, can't find it. On GitHub I find version 2.7.5.0 And in Plugin section on the server, I find version 2.9.0.6... This is really messing wiht my head.... The highest number is no where to be found, the GitHub version seems to be lower than the on in the Plugin section... What do I miss?

Managing the media library this way adds complexity; regardless of the database size, the best approach is to handle the work in one go. The right choice is to be able to selectively clear a specific library, or to update the posters only after Emby has updated the metadata.

    VirtualTV plugin

i moved to the latest dev build (2.1.8.2) for native (live) playback and am loving this new mode as i can finally change channels quickly and more smoothly than any other modes have allowed. however, i am having an issue where if a channel starts when a bumper would be playing it will always jump to the beginning of that bumper and then loop it indefinitely. if i allow a channel to play until a bumper starts, a bumper will play, repeat once and then the next program will start where it would have been had the bump not repeated (skipping whatever time the bumper took up)

Then libraries would have multiple posters looking wrong and not be updated. Better to split up the libraries them self to limit the amount of work the plugin has to do then.

The Grand Tour 2026 not present

You likely have TVDB as your primary meta-provider - it doesn't list 2026 series as a separate show but as a Season 7 of the original, 2016, version (and has probably been merged with it). TMDB has it as a separate entry. You can either: 1) Rename all episodes accordingly (as S07Exx) and place it under Grand Tour (2016) folder or 2) Move it out of your TV Shows root folder, scan media library, delete existing NFOs (if any) from that series folder, move TMDB on top of your preferred meta-downloaders, place series folder back, scan media library, lock the metadata once identified, revert TVDB on top.
  8. I have debloaded and remove unessary services and apps in my htpc. Including Microsoft store. Where can i get the executable file .exe of the new app or the .msi to install it? Why it is only available through store??? Emby Theater was available also in the Git to download both for x32 and x64.

    Collections sorting

Added movies to two long-time existing (automatic) collections today, sorting Collections library by "Date Last Content Added" desc. did not bring either of them in front - actually, switching between "Date Added" and "Date Last Content Added" does not appear to change sort order at all (at least on my system).
  10. They're all JPEGs. Standard album art. Nothing fancy. The only difference between the Album Art ID3 data I can think of is that I use sizes ranging from 300x300 up to about 1200x1200 (maybe 1400x1400), but I don't think image size is the issue. Emby is definitely NOT using the embedded images in my album for The Firm. In most cases (maybe all other cases, not certain) it does. This is what I'm trying to troubleshoot and resolve at least for The Firm, and I'll document the process so if it happens again, I'll know how to fix without bothering you helpful folks. Or maybe there's a bug in Emby Server that yields this as an intermittent problem. I do enough computer work with developers to recognize how difficult intermittent problems can be to track down. If the Emby team wants one of my files to investigate, happy to provide it. Maybe there is something strange about the file after all (I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong on that). Lastly, I'm very curious where it's getting the image that it is using. It was the cover image when I first loaded the album, but it's also one of the common online images. So not sure if it cached it from my original MP3 files (which I think I've fully cleared, but maybe not) or if it's pulling it from the Internet (I believe I've fully disabled that capability). Neither of those SHOULD be the case, but seems like it must be one or the other. If I had to guess, I'd guess that it's caching the image and ignoring my efforts to replace/update it.
  11. No i haven't. Where i can find it? In the 1st post i have upload 3 different logs from 3 different version. Did you check them?
  12. Beta Post here Emby Server Beta - Emby Community More that 1 post about it.
  13. Hmm what picture type did you put in there? Some picture types seems not to work, like *.webp Those work with mp3tag but not with enby. But anyways embedded images should have prio.
  14. Hello, The Grand Tour 2026 [1] is not present among Emby search results. If I try to identify this series using the IMDB ID [2], a wrong series is chosen [3]. If I try to find it using fulltext, it is not present at all. How can I fix this problem? Thank you, Tomas [1] https://www.imdb.com/title/tt44974627/ [2] tt44974627 [3] https://www.imdb.com/title/tt42206913/
  15. Today
  16. Thank you for your time, and pointing me to that. Up until now i have not needed this, and hope i won't need it in the future either. Well, actually im alright with the absolute order from TheTVDB. For most series i own, this works acutally good. Sometimes they have screw-ups or made at least debatable decisions in their order, but I, just as everybody else, would have the option to register and help fix things there. But that was not was my post was about. It was about Emby (with mixed content library) identifying correctly named content incorrectly, as well as handling folders containing series like folders containing multiple movies, while giving no way to fix that other than trying to rename folders/episodes.
  17. @Luke, thanks! About to do that now, but want to be sure I'm performing the correct steps or test, is this correct: Open the album in Emby (not the artist and not an individual song, both of which also offer Refresh Metadata) Click the 3 dots to the right of the album image (options are: Play, Shuffle, Heart, and ...) Select "Refresh Metadata" Do NOT select "Replace existing images" because that will download from the Internet, which is what we're trying to avoid (or must I select that to get it to replace the images at all?) Is that all correct, especially #4 (very unsure what to select for #4)? And if that works, do I need to ALSO do each song afterwards or should redoing the album update all the songs on the album too (both album and songs show the same wrong images)? If it matters, note that the ONLY place I have stored the cover art is embedded in the individual song MP3 files as ID3 cover art. This does seem to have worked for all the other albums (it DEFINITELY worked for some, but it's possible some other are also wrong and I just never noticed).
  18. for the migration from Synology to proxmox i'd only like to keep statistics (when played. resume and that kind of stuff). (and then rebuild it from scratch) What is the best way to approach this? Is it still important afterwards that the correct library/folder structure and users are EXACTLY the same? I would like to keep the artwork and NFO file in the folder, so that wouldn't need to be collected again.
  19. Server: Emby Server 4.11.0.5 beta (Docker emby/embyserver:beta, Unraid 7.4, Linux 6.18). Same setup on 4.11.0.4 recorded fine. Tuner: M3U tuner pointing at Dispatcharr (http://<lan-ip>:9191/proxy/ts/stream/...) Transcode temp path: dedicated 239 GB SSD What happens Since upgrading to 4.11.0.5, every scheduled recording fails as soon as it starts: Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Live stream buffer limit is unlimited. Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Beginning SharedHttpPipelineSource stream to /Transcode/transcoding-temp/<id>/{0:0000000}.ts Info SharedHttpPipelineSource: Done waiting for segments after 3500ms Error LiveTV: Error in GetChannelStreamWithDirectStreamProvider System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Error MediaSourceManager: Error opening live stream Error LiveTV: Error recording to ... S2026E276.ts Info LiveTV: Retrying recording in 60 seconds. The recording retries every 60 seconds for about 10 minutes. The problem is that each attempt's SharedHttpPipelineSource is never closed. The live stream keeps being copied into transcoding-temp/<id>/ with no buffer limit. After one 18:30 recording I had 11 orphaned buffers (one per retry), each about 22 GB, still writing 11 hours later. They only stopped when the transcode SSD hit 100% (No space left on device). No recording file was produced. In each log, "Beginning SharedHttpPipelineSource" appears about 20 times but only about 7 of those streams are closed. Pattern across logs Version consumerId errors Recordings 4.11.0.4 0 OK (Oct 1, Oct 2) 4.11.0.5 33 per recording attempt window Failed (Oct 3, Oct 4) It may matter that a Roku client was watching another channel from the same M3U tuner when the timer fired, so the recording may be trying to join an existing shared stream with a null consumer ID. Two issues, really Recording fails with the null consumerId (looks like a regression in 4.11.0.5). When opening the stream fails, the already-started SharedHttpPipelineSource isn't disposed, so a failed recording can fill the transcode drive. Possibly related: https://emby.media/community/topic/150062-bug-live-tv-recording-stopped-early-when-a-remote-viewer-stopped-watching-the-same-channel/ (a recording registered with an empty consumer id on 4.10.0.40) and https://emby.media/community/topic/150036-live-tv-can-consume-hidden-tunersconnections-due-to-duplicate-recording-consumers/ (recording consumers never released, so upstream connections stay open). In 4.11.0.5 the same consumer-id path seems to throw instead, and the stream it opened is leaked. Workaround: pinned the container to emby/embyserver:4.11.0.4. Log excerpt attached (one full cycle including the stack trace). Happy to provide more logs. emby-4.11.0.5-recording-leak-log.txt

    Plugin: EmbyIcons release.

It would be best to limit the scope to a specific timeframe—for instance, simply refreshing the 30 most recently added media items. Additionally, there should be a button allowing administrators to manually clear old records and perform a full rebuild, or to rebuild specific media libraries; ideally, however, there should be no option to trigger a rebuild of *all* images.

Worked for me as well. Thanks Luke,
  22. Not the same experience at all... There are a number of other Android boxes these days that should come close to the Shield. You might want to check out the Hardware forum.
  23. Have you tried the latest beta? If it still has the issue, can you please reproduce it and then follow the instructions to send a log from the app?

    Nested Collections

Absolutely agree, and I didn't mean to suggest that it was a full alternative; folders in this case are just a potential workaround to allow you to configure a nested navigation through your titles, provided you are ok with each title appearing only in a single location. But a nested Collection enhancement certainly would allow for cross-linking and other more complicated (and useful!) setups.

    Stuttering after pause

@user84please also provide the ffmpeg log(s) from that playback.
  26. Sounds to be like you want precise control over the media and how it is represented and it's play order. In my experience, the only way to do that is not to rely on scrapers. Emby does an excellent job scraping media info, but they are at the mercy of the metadata providers. The only way you are going to achieve exactly what you want is to switch to a NFO based library and/or using a media manager that can scrape anime shows. MediaElch just ended development so I can't recommend it anymore. It should still work for a while, but tinymediamanager (TMM) is still being developed and should be able to handle this. I personally do not like anime, so I have never used a scraper on it, but TMM has aniDB as a source, it might give you what you need. I use TMM and disable all scraping within Emby. It works pretty well, but you are responsible for double checking accuracy. TVDB and TMDB frequently get actors wrong and I am spending time correcting that. However, that is a lot less of a headache than trying to trick the scrapers into getting the order of things the way you want it.
  27. Good lord... $300 bucks for 8 year old hardware? That's insane. At that price I would just get a NUC.
