Soukron started following Emby CLI
-
Hello all! I spend most of my daily time in a command line terminal, so I've created this CLI for Emby so playing a movie is as easy as emby-cli item play "Interstellar" or an episode of a given TV show: emby-cli item play "Breaking Bad S03E01" It's an early stage project and I'm still adding features and improving the packaging (as the Python self-contained packages take a few seconds to decompress and start), but it's mature enough to share it. I hope you find it useful and provide feedback. The code is in https://github.com/soukron/emby-cli. Regards, Sergio

@ebrIs the PR#1809 (the maincard image fix) in the store version yet or is it just presently in the Beta and testing? This issue is likely fixed by #1809.

Hi, here's some ideas for you to try... with no custom logo sizing at all, my screen, with standard Emby logo, looks like this: then, use CSS something like this for 1.5 times larger logo: .skinHeader h2.pageTitleWithLogo.pageTitleWithDefaultLogo { transform: scale(1.5) !important; transform-origin: left center !important; } this is the result: Note: with the standard Emby logo, I found sizes above 1.5 tend to crop the logo top and bottom and you would then run into problems with the whole menu header and row height constraints by modifying the CSS further. Also: depending upon how you configure the LHS panel in Emby and the aspect ratio of your logo, you may need to experiment with the horizontal placement of your logo. Perhaps replace the transform-origin line with something like this (px adjusted to suit your set up): margin-left: 50px !important; Good luck with your customizing!

I'll bring this up. This is a really convenient feature, as the built-in player is mostly fine, but there are 10-20% that play much better in an external player. Currently, I have to use a separate Emby ATV app to launch the external player. The checkbox for enabling the external player is already quite far down in the settings. Placing the checkbox for adding an external player button next to it seems quite sensible. As does placing the button on the same line as the "Play" button on the movie page.

Can you run this (from and elevated terminal): powercfg /systempowerreport /duration 1 /output sleep.html Then zip the html file and post it here. Thanks

External Player (Vimu) resume position issue on Android TV
vanor replied to franco72's topic in Feature Requests
I'd like to add (in addition to the above features) why this particular player is important. While MX and VLC handle video decoding well, it handles audio more accurately with localized audio tracks. With older movies, a significant number of built-in TV players stutter. There's also the issue of voices being relegated to the center channel and appearing too quiet. These aren't features most people need in a built-in player, so I'd like tighter integration with an external player. and I apologize for the poor search before creating a topic -
Only worked for a short period. Last night I fell asleep before the end of a show, woke up 7 hours later to find the PC still on and the monitor still on display emby HomeScreen. It is very frustrating because I don't know what else to do, it is not good to leave an OLED monitor on one image for that amount of time. It can cause pixels to burn into the screen, there is a pixel cleaning technology built into the screen but it only does it when the monitor display turns off and goes into standby.

Naruto episodes not playing on Nvidia Shield
FrostByte replied to Ceten's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Ya, I was looking the other day and thought if my Shield bit the dust I might go with a Ugoos. Amazon doesn't have any Shields for sale other than from 3rd party people who are asking 4X as much for them than they originally cost. -
[Help] Official Emby Theater RPi4 Image on Armbian: Choppy H.264, Missing v4l2m2m, Invisible Playback Overlay

This should be getting get us equal. -
Yes, that's a legitimate point. We have recently started migrating most of the server configuration pages to the new UI model, but it's not merged yet and it won't be open-source anyway, so that's not directly useful, but another sign that our direction is clear in this regard. For the open-source plugins, we'll do the same at some point, it's just that this kind of work (where there's no direct user-facing improvement) often gets de-prioritized. But we have an AI Agent SKILL ready which has all the information that is needed for Plugin UI and which is about to be published shortly.

Maybe, but those people who care that much should probably also know that AI is frequently used with Jetpack Compose which they do disclose on their website. -
Can't move Emby when installed as an app in Edge
IdeasMan replied to IdeasMan's topic in General/Windows
For the benefit of others who don't know how to move the window using the Move command, there are two very small regions in the Caption Controls region (Close, Minimise, Maximise/Restore buttons) which represent the system title bar for the window, unencumbered by buttons. These two regions, coloured in red in the image below, can be used to move the window. Essentially, hover either side of the ellipses button. If the ellipses button is highlighted then you aren't in the sweet spot. Once you are, you can move the window as required. This is easier using the region to the right of the ellipses button as you can use the hover colouring of the Minimise button to tell you when you've gone too far to the right. -
Iskara started following Change Logo size

Hi all I was wondering whether there is way to customize the CSS to have a larger logo. I have my own custom logo that I put as logowhite.png and logodark.png in the theme folder, however it is appearing quite small on the page now as you can see on this screenshot: If there are options to change how large the splash.png image is loaded that would be nice. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, a big thank you for that insightful comment; I'm updating the thread to express my gratitude for the API, which is essential for us. -
Is talks with emby vist restfull api, also talks with ombi restull api for the request feature. Users can login with their emby credentials and write reviews and do star ratings and post top10 movies favorites etc. In runs in a single container and use cloudflare tunneling for internet proxy. Users can add other emby users as friends and then related users can se what the other users watch, to get inspired for wathing new content.

You're right, I should have said of the files I use. It could use a refresh for sure but until I upgrade my old LG C7 it manages most stuff my tv supports, the only one of these I would use immediately would be DV profile 7 FEL using both layers. I hope my Shield keeps working because I wouldn't know what to replace it with.

I looked again. They are there and work but they are with ALOT of Music playlists as well. Music playlist are just listed but empty when you select them.

MacGyver27 started following Library Real Time Monitoring needs SAFETY CHECK
-
Hello, I have a scenario where one of my libraries sits on the external HDD enclosure. I want to have for it Real Time Monitoring enabled but there is a catch.. sometimes happens this external HDD enclosure has connectivity issues or after reboot it did not get properly mounted to the Linux file system and Emby starts purging everything related to it. This is huge pain in case such library is 50k home video files - everything needs to be rebuild from scratch, which can take weeks! I know it kind of makes sense of Real Time Monitoring feature but I would propose to implement a safety check that the library is actually present on the file system. I know this is difficult to detect properly when Emby server is inside docker, but something simple like: If any specified folder is entirely empty, skip the synchronization for it. So before triggering the real time sync perform for both of this folders this empty folder check: IF contains SOMETHING -> sync IF contains NOTHING -> skip I would do this safety check also when triggered manually, because many times user don't even notice the external HDD enclosure is not mounted.. 99% of cases user finds out when his media are missing in the Emby library.. In order to sync on these empty libraries user would need to disable safety check. Solution:
