I am sorry that I do not know how .Net handles memory purging. I thought the .Net Memory Garbage Collection kicks in after about 6 or 8 hours - but I also understand that memory may not get released if there is no need for it by demands from other apps. Perhaps @softworkzcould give more info on this. I will be trying to see if I can replicate the issue I am looking into now for @DiabboVerddeusing a copy of the database and dummy media which shows an attempt to release media but not sufficient to stop the OOM crash

New build, 1.0.0.34 - covers both things you brought up. BIOS (now more than just PlayStation) There's a single "BIOS folder" setting in ROMote Settings. Point it at a folder on your server, click "Set up BIOS folders", and ROMote creates one clearly named subfolder per system that needs a BIOS, puts a README in each explaining what goes there, and shows a table of exactly which file each expects and whether it's already present. It uses the standard EmulatorJS BIOS file names, so the same BIOS pack you'd use with EmulatorJS or RomM works here as-is - no special format. Systems that need one right now: - PlayStation: scph5501.bin (or scph1001.bin, etc.). Optional - without it PS1 uses the HLE BIOS, which runs most games. - ColecoVision: colecovision.rom. Required - this fixes ColecoVision, which couldn't boot at all before. Most other systems don't need a BIOS. Adding another system's is a one-line change for me, so if there's a specific one you need, name it and I'll wire it up. (3DO would be a new console rather than just a BIOS, but I can look at it.) Your old PlayStation BIOS path still works as a fallback if you'd set one. Play links (your labeling idea) Renamed the two links to "Play Game (Browser)" and "Play Game (App)" so it's obvious which to use. Browser is the relative link that follows whatever address you're on, local or remote; App is the absolute link for the native Emby apps, and only shows when an external address is available. Updating Grab 1.0.0.34 (attached), stop Emby, replace ROMote.dll, start it. BIOS takes effect right away, no rescan needed. If you have an External Domain set and want the "App" link on your existing games, run a metadata refresh on the Games library once (newly scanned games get it automatically). New update was pushed, appversion 4.9.5.17. Seems to fix the "Server Select" screen issue but still shows this screen just before going to the Home Screen. Previously it would show the Emby logo than transition straight into the Home Screen. So I would mark this as "Almost fixed".

The ONE thing I'll give Netflix is that I liked that it would give me a big block of suggestions with various options, by genre, type (show/movie), "because you watched this" etc. It actually did a really good job of finding other stuff I like, even weird stuff. I watched a lot of foreign shows b/c of it, and loved there was almost always English Audio.

I agree, every few months, I get really annoyed with Emby over a few issues, and this one of them. Usually around the start of a new season of shows and my wife and kid's shows are constantly popping up in the "Latest TV Shows" or "Continue Watching" since I've bene marking them as watched for so long. It seems that there are like 4 or 5 diff/similar requests out there, they should be combined when looking at the # of people wanting this. Like others have said, the "use tags" is a bandaide at best, and not an actually solution. It works for **ME**, but not at all practical for my wife and kids. I'm sure as hell not going to sit down with each person and go through all the stuff they don't like to tag them. NOT A SOLUTION! Asking people to restructure their library is a non-starter in my book, I wouldn't even call that a bandaide, that's a "cut the leg off" fix.

It detects it based on the file types and file extensions. What extensions are your SNES games? The folders are really just for file system organization. There is an option in the Admin panel under the ROMote Settings, that you can have it sort and organize your ROMs for you, and even remove duplicates and utility roms and such etc.

At this point I'd like to figure out which devices are actually using my servers. I have a crap load of devices going back years, so I'm sure there are computers and phones there that I no longer own at all that could be cleaned up. I just don't like messes.

I found the issue. It was trying by default to go to https and I run my EMBY as http. I did a manual edit and it worked. Works very nicely. It grabbed NES with no issue but SNES I guess it doesn't detect that this folder is SNES? How does it detect the ROM folder and match it to the system?

Can you provide screenshots? What version of emby are you using? Are you trying to access it from inside of your network, or externally? Did you use the latest plugin that I posted inline above? I did fix some network issues in the last version. I am getting a refused to connect while testing this. Plugin has the link under the game but when I click it, it just wont connect to play.

Correct! Arch IS too complicated for me. I can't imagine even being able to install it without major issues! For now anyways. I started this journey 37 years ago but took 34 years off to work with Winblows only and raise a family - time being in constant short supply I only just recently got back to Linux. THAT was a mistake. So, Here I am 2yrs into my NEW Linux journey and a LOT has changed. 3yrs really, I took a year to experiment with distro's. BUT permissions are still the same. I am a bit older now, remembering and learning is a bit more difficult than it was back then - I have developed some challenges along the way and found out about challenges I had all along that went UN-diagnosed for most of my life. I make notes as I go so as to not bother anyone too much with my forgetfulness by ask the same questions repeatedly. It is what it is. So far, in the past 3 years, I've installed and used Ubuntu in many varieties and flavors, Fedora, Debian..I mean I've been around the block as far as distro's go. I settled on an Arch based distro because of it's up to date hardware support and it's compatibility with gaming, particularly steam gaming. Literally anything else I could ever want from a desktop Linux is also, of course included. BUT Arch based distro's are the FEW distro's that are REALLY up to date and are absolutely stable as fuck. I had three criteria when looking for a distro. - Graphical environment works as expected immediately after install - my modern hardware is supported - stable software and OS usage and updates Coming from a Winsucks environment I don't think these things are to much to be expected from ANY modern Linux Desktop. Ubuntu installs fine, works fine, finds all my hardware and breaks frequently due to simple updates. Must be Microsoft's influence. Ubuntu also stole or TRIED REALLY hard to steal MY CHOICE to use Firefox as a package and not a SNAP. They are like the company I am trying to escape from in too many ways for me to be comfortable using their OS. result | -- ditched all Ubuntu related OS's Fedora is a non starter--it worked fine from the LiveISO and the install was flawless--but like every time I ever tried Red Hat OS's of any type, immediately after the install it reboots straight to a terminal with X crashing..sigh...it is GOOD to know some things never change and YES I DO KNOW it is easy to fix this but why the hell should ANYONE HAVE TO? IT is 2026 not 1996 (the last time I tried Red Hat-I think it was version 2.0) ffs! Let's just toss all the Red Hat stuff in the above paragraph and move on. OK, so that brings me to mint, LM works awesomely on my 11 yr old MSI GE60 laptop (NVIDIA 850 chip set) - found everything, including the proper NVIDIA graphics driver, installed it all, even my network printer was discovered and setup properly during the install (WOW..just WOW) HOWEVER, the NVIDIA driver install for my graphics adapter on my desktop left me high and dry sitting at a terminal--nouveau = good | NVIDIA = bad result | fdisk install some other Linux n my Desktop - LM is STILL on my laptop and I love it there Like I said if an OS does this to me it is off my list --- to bad, I might still be running LM if that NVIDIA driver thing hadn't have happen. A TRULY wonderful install experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who has no need of NVIDIA drivers or has the patience to fix them. I was NOT going back to Wintheif so, I was determined to find MY Linux. I read about steam OS because gaming is important to me (I'm old, not dead). Found out it as based on Arch so went out looking for Arch derivatives and found EndeavourOS (I also dual boot Cachey OS). SO, here I am. Using EndeavourOS for my Desktop and my media server. I still run Windows Srv2016 as a file and backup server so I guess I COULD always have purchased the Windows version of Emby but I thought WHY do that when I am trying to move way from Winsucks and Microblows. SO, instead I purchased a license and chose to use the Linux version of Emby.. Knowing all that is it still your advice that I go back to using "something easier" than Arch? Maybe instead of continuing my Linux journey and trying as best I can with my age and challenges to learn something new I should just give ti all up and quit because it is too difficult is that it? I ask because, knowing what challenges I have over come so far I do not think NOW is the time to concede defeat to Microsoft and Linux people who don't think any non-expert Linux user should actually use Linux. I can ALWAYS go ask my 2 sons who are both devs who use Linux daily I mean, they live me, it's a big house. BUT, I HATE doing that, it feels like cheating when I want to be apart of the Linux community. I get help and fairly regularly participate in the community forums. I have had to re-learn things over and over again all my life. Does that make me stupid or more intelligent than average? I guess that's a point of view and probably not a discussion for this forum. So, when I get a new piece of software I ask a ton of questions, make notes and back these notes up so I am not constantly asking the same questions over and over again. That STILL happens though, albeit more infrequently than before my diagnosis. Sheesh - this is the very first Linux forum I've had to explain this in. Even in my EndeavourOS community forum I did not feel like I had to explain this to anyone. I mean I did explain it but not because i felt like people thought I was stupid or lacking in some way. Tell me something, if every non-Linux expert went and used something easier, say Windows or Mac PC's, where would that leave Linux in the future going forward compared to what is in store it it now with it's growing popularity? Hi @soderlundI've encountered an issue where the HSC plugin doesn't seem to use Source URLs other than the first one. Example, in my test library I have all 4 Jaws movies. So I create a new tag called 'Shark Movies' and I want to use 2 MDBList Source URLs which contain Jaws movies. URL 1: https://mdblist.com/lists/j22kodi/shark-movies (Contains only Jaws 4) URL 2: https://mdblist.com/lists/cwills75/sharks (Contains Jaws 1, 3 and 4) Expectation: When adding both URLs, I expect that it will find 3 x Jaws movies and add them to the Tag 'Shark Movies' Actual Result: When using the above URLs in that order, the resulting Tag only contains 1 x Jaws movie (Jaws 4) It seems the plugin only reads the first URL and does not use any subsequent Source URLs to add the other movies. Hi, yes you can do that.

A 3:2 image will not fit on a 1.78 aspect 16:9 ratio TV monitot, without the black bars left and right in order to show the entire image. Filling the screen can only be made by either stretching the image left and right or cropping the image top and bottom. Photographs, like any art form are usually judged by their enter image. Cutting off top and bottom or stretching the image is never an option for any professional display of photography, either on a monitor or presenting prints on a wall in an exhibit. So, adjusting an image that is not original 16:9 or 1.78 aspect ratio will not fill a TV monitor. If you cannot notice the difference and prefer cropped or stretched images, fine, but most people who love photography would never accept this. I don't see any error in the example image. There is essentially nothing to fix. Is there some other issue, that I missed in this forum post?
