Hi @Luke& Emby team, when it comes to plugins doing overlays, is there fixable shortcoming in the way image overlays work on inherited images? Or is there an intended way to work with default images to work around the following issue. Consider a plugin which overlays useful data onto a show thumbnail. Consider a show which doesnt have a show thumbnail (so inherits the first backdrop image as show's thumbnail). The plugin doesnt overlay onto a thumbnail image that doesnt exist (even though inheritence is working). Eg. No Thumbnail, backdrop is inherited as thumbnail, no overlay present Eg Thumbnail present, overlay works. Is this behaviour a limitation of the plugin (is it the job of the plugin to know its in a inheritence situation and overlay on the backdrop, probably not even possible and messy?) of the Emby Ecosystem. If the plugin asks to overlay onto the shows thumbnail and emby determines the shows thimbnail is inherited from the backdrop, should Emby hide this internal monologue and allow the plugin just to work; by which i mean an overlay is presented on the inherited image. or just a neccessary outcome for inherited images working, without turning everything into a "rats nest". TLDR, is it possible for the very useful default image inheritence to do its job whilst abstracting away any need of plugin overlay developers to need to be aware of inheritence. Could the plugin developer just define the overlay and the target (Show - Thubmnail in this example) and the result just work; without breaking other functionality? thanks

The logs are all from 4.9.5. It doesn't look like the 4.10 server ever started. Could you have installed the wrong architecture?

A workaround in the meantime is to use the Home Screen Companion plugin to tag everything in the collection, then use the tag instead of the collection on the home screen.

Since the update to Emby Server 4.10.0.40, when using the Emby Theater app (Windows version 3.0.20, Linux SNAP version 3.0.19) and I want to set up a recording, I go to the guide and click on the program I want to record. I click on record, then very often (especially in the case of sporting events) I will click on settings so I can change the "Stop when possible" setting. After the server update when I do this I get a spinning circle, and a somewhat unresponsive user interface. I can eventually get out of it, but it is not possible to change the settings of the program I am trying to record. This does not happen in the web app, nor does it happen in the Android app. I haven't checked IOS, but it looks to be an Emby Theater problem, rather than a problem with any of the stand alone apps. It's very annoying because I always set my sporting event recordings to stop at least 60 minutes later than the program is scheduled, in case of overtime, rain delays, etc. Note: When I attempted to download the embyserver.txt log using the Linux Emby Theater app, the app crashed. I had to do it in the web client. embyserver(1).txt

The value was enough that you added it for the Fire TV. Why wouldn't it be for Roku users?

Hi, at this point they're kind of the same thing with two different names. Collections can also be populated from MovieDb. that's the only difference.

Latest Releases is based on release date info, not date added. Latest media is based on date added.

Strange, Downloaded the setup.exe for stable release, looks like it runs normally. But nothings happend. Both of the setup.exe does nothing for emby server on windows. still on 4.10.0.31 how do I do this manually. if it is that simple.
