This is one of many reasons I don't have Emby do metadata scraping. You can't trust online sources many times. During my actor manager app development I have discovered many of the IMDb have the Roman numberals or grave-marker dates. Then there is TVDB with same name actors getting merged into one profile. I'll stick with my NFO's.

Thanks Luke! I've attached the embyserver.txt file and a ffmpeg log that was created at the same time. There is no error message, the content simply freezes with a spinning blue wheel - whether attempting to continue where I left off or re-start from the beginning. Last night my NAS churned away as if trying to provide the file. Tonight the NAS is silent. The only trace of an error is if/when I can get into "stats for nerds" it says, under the streaming section, "Recovering from playback error". All I'm doing, literally, is attempting to continue watching content (1080p) that I started watching on my Amazon firestick 4K Max the previous night. It will work just fine, but only after you've seen the broken image placeholder. Then it gets cleared out of the database and a new image can take that slot. Prior to you seeing that, the actor will have an image url stored in the database. The server doesn't know yet that it's not valid, and it won't know until you try to view it. Therefore, a metadata refresh will not replace it.

This will not work. Although you can use the same folder in more than one movie library, it is still only imported into your database once. You will not be able to have two different groupings for the same file. What I would suggest is turning the grouping features off for one of the libraries because you may find that it bounces back and forth.

Hi, just be aware, we have not been testing our docker container on windows at all, so we really have no idea how that would go.

Of you've paid and you have your licence installed and it's not failing in your logs then you'll be fine. You won't need to pay again

I can confirm this did not work, but I haven't updated Emby to latest server. I will try that later tonight and report the results. If it happens again, should I also provide logging the way I did before?

Can you please upload you emby log, That is a file permissions problem rather than an Emby version one. In your screenshot every other plugin shows -rw-r--r-- but the TV Show Status DLL shows -rwx------, which means only its owner can read it — and that is not the user Emby runs as, so Emby skips it silently. Over SSH on the NAS: chmod 644 /volume3/@appdata/EmbyServer/plugins/EmbyTVShowStatus.dll Then restart Emby Server. It should appear in the plugins list. If you would rather not use SSH, deleting the file and copying it again through File Station usually sets the permissions correctly too. Thanks

Hi, when you see this, try refreshing the metadata on the movie or series that the actor belongs to and that should hopefully get a new image.

I have paid for it a few times over the years and paid again when it was reworked. Do I need to pay again or can you make a quick check to make sure I'm active? I downloaded the .dll and replaced it with the old one. It was working right up until the time that you @radeonsaid that there were issues with the new api. I might just be impatient and it is already working fine lol. Also movie and tv themes are still working beautifully

Es fällt halt auf das schon recht lange kein Ordner "backdrops" mit Inhalt erstellt werden. Sogar bei solch alten Filmen wie mein Beispiel heute. Bei aktuellen Filmen kann ich mir schon vorstellen das es eventuell noch keine gibt. Nur bei einem Film von 2003 wundert es mich doch schon. This applies even to old movies like the one I used as an example today. I can understand that there might not be any available yet for recent releases. The actor is marked across multiple series (also in Leverage and The Librarians) on my server so it's sort of all recognizing the same person. I did manually delete the actor from all series. Scan library metadata to make sure he was "gone" (he didn't show up in Emby search results) and refreshed the series. I ended back at the starting point. For me, I don't understand why the link takes to a page that says Authorization failed. Also of interest, from the web interface, on the actor, if you click the triple dot button and select Edit Metadata, it opens a blank form for editing series metadata. If you do the same thing for a working actor entry, you get a proper actor metadata form filled out. See images below. I wonder if Emby somehow has the itemId tied to wrong object type (hence opening the completely wrong form). EmbyActorIssue2-3.png The red box is to highlight the spinning blue circle indicating Emby is processing. That shows up and just continues to spin if you "Edit Metadata" on a corrupted actor entry.

I don't control theme images and the meta provider for images are much wider and expensive so if you're not getting those, I'd be surprised if you were getting any them video or song so the fact yo have a song is only a good thing. Also proves they're working fine

Did it. Had to rewrite half my firewall rules. It works directly on Roku. The odd thing is every other device I have works through the proxy except the Roku devices which are on my TV's. Cell Phone remotely works fine and on local network, Laptop Works fine, Apple TV works fine, tablets work fine. As stated in my previous post almost seems like a regression somewhere.
