I am not sure that it can because I've never used it, might be able to generate one based on DV data though. I was referring to this for the profiles, for example this is a 7.6 with DV and HDR (typically bluray): Or an 8.1 (typically streaming): Or 5, pure DV

Skip Intro markers not being generated despite scheduled task completing
sa2000 replied to UsamaWaheed's topic in Linux
Emby Server Beta 4.10.0.24 which is being released today should resolve the issue where the skip intro markers are not being added when a new episode is being scanned for a show where we already have markers for existing episodes I see you are not on the beta. 4.10.x.x - so you will need to wait until 4.10.x.x gets released as stable release -

I took a peak at the Media Info and see the difference in the video. One says HDR 10 Compatible and the other doesn't. I don't suppose Handbrake can reencode Dolby Vision to HDR 10. Not that it matters, I just went ahead and sprung for another TV in the bar and the kitchen TV isn't used to watch 4k stuff anyhow because who wants to watch much on a 24" screen anyhow..

Hi, as long as you get the log from the server web interface, then you shouldn't have to. What model Synology do you have?

Emby Server Beta 4.10.0.24 which is being released today has a change that should ensure your single album playlists just have the album image instead of a collage of 4 copies of the album image. For the support document on Music Naming and image file types, I am lookijng into that at the moment

Hello everyone, I bought lifetime licence of Emby after log time of Plex expirience (fast, zero problems) due to crazy prices at the competitors plan. Unfotunately my Emby is almost unusable due to lagging. Almost all plugs are switched off, also other options like hardware acceleration etc and very often my content not loading on remote devices at all or I have to wait a minutes to hear the sound or watch te move. Can You look at that all and tell what can be the reason for that kind of long time server answer? If I should share more information please let me know. I'm ruuning Emby on pretty old Synology drive instaled directly from site (not container) and have the latest version. Maybe something like: Images should never be within /opt/emby-server path, and should never have \ in the path on the Linux system. But yes wait for sa2000 to advise further, this might only blank out the reference to the image but not tell it that it needs to find out what it is/how to retrieve it later (without metadata refresh). I am just someone who can look at a database and take a guess based on observation.

With Copilot, I looked through my Embyserver.txt log and found this; -noautorotate -metadata:s:v:0 rotate=-90 This means: Emby ignores the original iPhone rotation metadata (because -noautorotate forces ffmpeg not to respect it). Emby then adds its own rotation = -90°, which flips the video sideways. This only happens in the web player, because it uses HLS transcoding. The Emby app uses direct play, where rotation metadata is respected → therefore the video looks correct in the app. I downloaded ffmpeg on Windows https://www.gyan.dev/ffmpeg/builds/?utm_source=copilot.com And ran this command in CMD to change the files from .MOV to .MP4 and h.264 with fixed settings. for %i in ("C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\*.MOV") do ffmpeg.exe -i "%i" -c:v libx264 -preset fast -crf 18 -c:a aac -movflags +faststart "C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\%~ni_fixed.mp4" This issue has been solved

Add Refresh Metadata permission to non-Admin users
CBers replied to CBers's topic in Feature Requests
Who else is going to do it? But again, this is mainly to be used when there is metadata missing. -
A new approach to making IPTV behave more like traditional tuners

I do see that its working in Andriod TV app version 2.1.51 but it's still not working in the Emby of Andriod app is it possible to put the same fix that was applied to Emby for Andriod TV to Emby for Andriod as previously stated I'm currently on Emby for Android 3.5.42

"Upcoming" tab and automatic scraping stopped working
DiabboVerdde replied to DiabboVerdde's topic in Synology
as a matter of fact, yes... I think I found the cause. It was NordVPN, which I use on my Synology. Somehow the certificates for the ovpn connections to NordVPN expired and my kill switch cut all communication when this happened. I had to replace the ovpn files with new ones to refresh the certificates and like magic it worked. I have used this VPN for many years, never had a certificate expire before, but I guess there's a first for everything. Thanks a lot @Luke, I'll leave the topic here to help anyone who might go though the same situation. -
"Upcoming" tab and automatic scraping stopped working
Luke replied to DiabboVerdde's topic in Synology
Hi, the server’s requests to these domains are timing out and failing. Typical causes are firewall, security software or vpn . Can you look into those and let us know what you find? -
Time in logs show as Pacific time, but system is in Eastern time
Luke replied to griam01's topic in WMC UI (Beta)
Can you get some new entries to show up? Are they off as well? If yes, then try a different browser or look at browser data and time zone settings. If no then the issue is limited to peat events, likely meaning the system clock changed at some point. -

Add Refresh Metadata permission to non-Admin users
Luke replied to CBers's topic in Feature Requests
I think it’s valid request to be able to grant permission to more features without requiring admin. -
@sa2000 can advise on that.

Would you elaborate please on that querry? From what enviroment shall I execute that. The emby database folder is owned by the emby service
