What I mean by that's fine is it doesn't really matter to me under the hood how it stores the data. What I don't understand is that functionally on the front end, they are combined into a single unit. In this case, one movie. The same movie. I cannot imagine a scenario where I want to change the metadata of this MOVIE, which has both files combined into it, but I only want to change the metadata of one of the files and not the other. That makes no sense to me. How this is fixed, whether the metadata is attached to the movie instead of the file, or whether the metadata is just written to both files at the same time, doesn't matter to me. If I want separate metadata for two different files, I'll make them two separate movie entries first. The whole point of combining them is that these files are part of the same movie. I don't see how that would help here. The issue is not the naming / folder structure. The issue is the mismatch between how the front end works and what is happening on the back end.

Let me preface this with I have not used Windows personally in 20 years. I can describe a common Linux setup and you can find the Windows equivalents. First thing to do would be to identify what media you want to share. You got that, so you're off to a great start! To keep things simple, I would bundle pictures and documents into one application; Nextcloud. It's been around forever and is very mature and stable. Lots of documentation and help is available. You will also be able to migrate your contacts and calendar to Nextcloud if you are interested. I personally found the photo's portion of Nextcloud to be just "okay", so I installed Immich. I literally renamed it on my wifes phone and she thinks it's Google Photos. If you have comics and/or ebooks, Komga is excellent. That coupled with comictagger is an unbeatable commbination. And lastly and certainly the most important (IMO) is your movies, TV shows, and music. Emby is so damned easy to set up, the people on the forum are incredibly helpful and for the most part nice. There are the occasional rude poster, but they are exceedingly rare. Emby is available on all the major smart TV's and we have a native Linux app in Beta right now. This last step ties everything together. Caddy is a reverse proxy that is dead simple to set up. Couple that with a domain name from Porkbun and you have a homelab available from anywhere. I bought my domain for $5.17 and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Good luck on your set up!

Is it possible to add a "watched" checkmark to a collection if all the films in the collection have been watched? Just like with regular films, when you've watched them.

A full log for your pleasure. I did a plugin uninstall, restarted, then a fresh key, then the scheduled task. While it reports it was successful, the log still indicates no matches for a single TV show. But Movies matched fine. embyserver(9).txt I shared my trakt options above. They remain as pictured.

I agree it can be frustrating trying to explain things to none technical people, but also not everyone has English as a first language. Also none technical people that are are never going to understand the CVE need reassurance that everything is OK. Even if the CVE was a nothing burger, and it mostly was for Emby, it was still out there and there were multiple people on multiple projects talking about it and some freaking out some fear mongering and some outright pointing fingers at projects calling them out as compromised. This is what should have been addressed, Emby has a large customer base and fear and rumors can hurt customer confidence as much as actual real world exploitable issues. That is what I was referring to, Emby should get in front of, head it off before anyone can get hysterical and make a mountain out of the mole hill. yep, it is low to very low on the scale, a nothing burger as you put it, but still all that is needed is an simply worded announcement that Emby Team knows about the issue and what they are doing about it. i.e. in this case disable the codec in question. If this was a security forum or a computer/tech forum I would 100% agree with you but it is not. This forum is for customers of a personal media management/playback tool, a lot of the people on this forum are not IT or computer experts and they don't need to be to use Emby. I feel your frustration, why do you think I don't post much to the forums any longer, it can be frustrating and at the end of the day futile to try to get your point across to users. But I will say this, I have worked in IT Security for close to 30 years and worked with all sorts of people in that time. I have worked in some of the largest companies in the world and with some very smart people, way smarted than me. When I think back to some of the smartest people I have worked with over the years, some have been dicks, huge dicks, and I don't remember them for being start, I remember them for being disks.

No, it’s almost the same as the one you helped me test. The top list and playlist fix should be new for you if I remember correctly. (Although it has the same version number as the test you did, it’s not the same.)

How have you configured the trakt options?

I have re-sync'd the code (AI suggested I do that), but that was before the new version they made for the fix on my initial report. I did not uninstall and reinstall the plugin completely. I dont love that if I had a lot of users using it, but I am the only one. I will go try that now.

Watched is an Emby feature and not EmbyIcons. You would have to ask the developers of Emby to improve the feature, sorry.

It Syncs for me. I uninstalled the plugin, and then reinstalled again, then grabbed the code from trakt, and pasted it into the Emby plugin. Clicked save and it saved. It's back !!!

What I meant is not about the amount of streams that you get offered - I meant that it is insane to put so many items in a single text file. With 2.5M items, the file has 5M rows, which is far beyond reasonable.

As a test, can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app? Thanks. I think he is merely asking whether there exists a volume control in the Android app (not Windows anyway)

what ?? same issue on both, doesn't recognize emby premiere on that network, probably of a firewall both subdomains work well in other open networks.....

Yes, it continues to play next song on the phone but that audio is only on the phone not the Alexa echo. When I tried that command on the Echo device group, it stops after the first song. Is the session not shared with all the echos in the group? +1 on this, too, and I would add that this retry functionality would be great to have on recordings that end before their scheduled end time, too (even if they are not reported as failed).

Hi. This is the issue. It still needs to be addressed but, since these appear to be home videos, you could update the release date instead.
