A couple of weeks ago, we were really excited to announce our first app was out in the wild on iOS. Today, we're just as excited to announce the general availability of Media Browser for Windows Phone.
This app is available for both Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8, although it should be noted that currently, video streaming is only available on Windows Phone 8.

Support for WebP Images
The recent server release introduced support for WebP image output, which allows as much as a 34% reduction in file sizes over the same quality as JPG and PNG. The Chromecast receiver is now using this to improve the speed of downloading and displaying images.

Add Videos from the Web to your Media Browser Server!
The latest update to Media Browser Chrome Companion includes the ability to add your favorite web videos to Media Browser. This new functionality requires that you have the Video Bookmarks plugin installed on your Media Browser server.

MB Classic Version 3.0.117.0 has been released as Beta. The two major features included in this release are:
