We're pleased to announce LDAP support for Emby Server, now supported by all Emby apps!   Installation   To setup LDAP, simply install the LDAP plugin from the Emby plugin catalog. Automatic Refresh Rate Switching - Now in the Android TV app

Automatic Refresh Rate Switching   The Android TV app now (as of version 1.2.11g) supports automatic refresh rate switching on supported devices. This requires Android 6.0+ and a display that supports the target refresh rate. The app will now automatically adjust your panel's refresh rate to a frequency that better matches the video being played if possible. New Server Beta Released

This is a big one, and it's all about giving you finely grained control of what your server is doing. Let's get to the changes:   First, the warning:   This release will re-scan your library. Please be patient. Also review your user library sharing because you may need to reconfigure some of them. Finely grained control over metadata settings. Choose where your metadata comes from, prioritize internet fetchers, and choose what formats your metadata gets saved to. Local metadata is king.

Important Information about Open Subtitles

An updated version of the Emby Open Subtitles plugin is currently rolling out. We have switched from opensubtitles.org to the newer opensubtitles.com This means you will need to create an account on opensubtitles.com and configure that in Emby Server settings. Until you do that, you won't get any subtitle downloads. Stay tuned for more developments on subtitle downloading !
