This is a big one, and it's all about giving you finely grained control of what your server is doing. Let's get to the changes:
First, the warning:
This release will re-scan your library. Please be patient. Also review your user library sharing because you may need to reconfigure some of them.
Finely grained control over metadata settings. Choose where your metadata comes from, prioritize internet fetchers, and choose what formats your metadata gets saved to.
Local metadata is king.
The long overdue iOS update is in the app store now. The changes include:
Chromecast support
New Custom Video Player
Video Streaming options - direct play, direct stream, stream copy and transcoding
New search feature
Image and media list caching
Numerous bug fixes, UI and performance enhancements.
The anime metadata plugin has finally been updated to support some major changes that went though a while ago to how metadata providers worked in Media Browser. The plugin has largely been re-written, and is now compatible with the improved customization options available in MBS, while also bringing a few new features and numerous bug fixes. The update should be available with the next server release.

There may not have been a lot of public activity on the MBT development side for a while, but behind the scenes, there has been some significant movement. Media Browser Theater is currently going through a significant architectural re-write. Most of the changes are there to make the developer's lives easier, while also greatly improving the extensibility of the software (to support themes and more powerful plugins in the future). However, there are also major changes to the GUI incoming.

Have you tried CoverArt? It is just one of the additional features you get with Emby Premiere.
Cover Art is available in the Server Plug-in Catalog
Cover Art is an "Image Processor" for Emby Server. It does not download any artwork. What it does is take the artwork you have (either downloaded with the normal MB providers or supplied by you) and apply different specialized treatments to those images. So, it can take a plain movie poster and make it look like a Blu-Ray case, or a beveled g
Google announced Android TV at their annual Google I/O conference last year and we immediately saw it as a huge opportunity not only for Media Browser but also for the industry as a whole.
The smart TV market is thriving but the use of the actual smart features are greatly limited because each manufacturer, for the most part, chose to implement their own environment which makes it very difficult for app developers to support them all. This, in turn, makes it hard for users to find the apps t
